A sigh escaped his lips as he looked around, sipping the milkshake he had ordered, and nibbling a buffalo wing lightly. He had a Physics book open in front of him, and notebooks were scattered around him in a neat semi-circle. He was in the middle of studying, and he was definitely wanting to get his work done…but the tv’s in here were deafening. He grumbled lightly, and glared up at the stupid football game on the TV...why it had to be up to the max volume so that some jock could read the football score was beyond him… He looked up as he ran out of his milkshake, and smiled as a waitress came up.

“May I get another?” he said kindly, and looked around. He was heading to Nuriko’s in a little while, but for now…he was bored. He leaned back in his seat, and looked up, finding one TV near him, and sneakily switching the channel to something different. He smiled when he found Fairly Odd Parents, and he immediately stopped it and grinned. No one had noticed. Perfect.

As his milkshake arrived, he leaned back and began to focus on the show before him, chuckling at Cosmo, who was quite possibly one of his favorite characters, and he grinned and gulped down the milkshake and the sweet honey barbecue buffalo wings with a grin.

Florencia leaned back in her seat as she sipped absentmindedly at the large cola she had. She stared out the window, noting the kids that seemed to roam the streets. She wondered how many of them were students. She playfully stuck her tongue out at nobody in particular. At her table laid an open History textbook. As much as she liked books, she was honestly more focused on food right now. She sighed and sat up, then leaned her head down on the table. She wouldn't say for sure that she was one of the best students but she could hold her own. "What have I gotten myself into?" she muttered, unaware that some of her hair had fallen into the cola.

She tried to shut out the noise that seemed to go around her, kids enjoying their day, laughing, talking, and flirting. The television was just too damn loud. She couldn't read under such conditions. One minute, a football game was on, then a change in station perhaps? She picked her head up and looked towards the general direction of the noise. Cartoons? Lovely. At least it would keep her occupied. "Haha nice." She positioned her head in such a way to keep her neck from breaking, cola at hand sipping away.

Ryuzaki was watching the show at one moment, and in another, someone speaking made him turn his head and look over curiously. He smiled, and nodded at the girl, grabbing the cherry on his drink and chomping it happily. “Yes, I find that sometimes normally mind-numbing entertainment increases my thinking process by 10 percent, sometimes more.” He said, a small laugh in his voice. He looked over, noticing she was alone, and he scooted over, clearing some of his notebooks away for her to sit.

“Here. I’m rather bored, and it’s so loud in here, we may as well sit and talk. And…no worries, in case you heard of my boyfriend….and his rather…protective ways…He’s home.” He said, smiling kindly, and looking at her. “Would you like a milkshake? Some BBQ buffalo wings? Ice cream, cookies?” he offered, and grinned as he looked over at her. “I’m Ryuzaki…but Please, call me L.”

For a moment Florencia seemed to question the young man's logic. She knew most people that would watch any cartoon would try to tune out the rest of the world. But hey, who was she to judge? One thing was for sure though; television was indeed entertaining and sometimes can bore a person depending on what you're watching. She looked over at his table, noting he had made a bit of room for her. She didn't mind really. She simply loved congregating with people, especially people she didn't know. To her, that just made it more fun.

She opted to take him up on his offer. She was rather bored as well so she steadily headed over. "I suppose so." she began to say as she seated herself beside him. Well, no I haven't heard of him, but thanks for the warning." What he had at his table looked quite tasty indeed. She could go for a snack right about now. ""Why thank you, a milkshake would be great, if its chocolate. I just love chocolate! Oh, and I'm Florencia. Most people just call me Flora. Its nice to meet ya, L." she exclaimed with a widened smile.

As the waitress came back, he ordered a chocolate milkshake and grinned over to her, as he pushed the cookies and the untouched half of the ice cream at her. “Here ya go. Dig in. Plenty of untouched chocolate in there.” He said, before looking up at the cartoon momentarily and snickering brightly. He loved this show…it was one of the few things he watched.

He turned back to her, and looked curiously at her. “So, what were you trying to do in the loudness of the room?” he asked, looking over at her, and grabbing a cookie and smiling at her. He cracked his neck a bit, lightly, and scratched behind his head with a chuckle.

Flora continued to sip her cola until she had just a few drops of it remaining. She examined the cookies and the part of the ice cream that had apparently remained untouched. Oh good! He was right; there was a great deal of chocolate to be enjoyed and indulged in. Flora could never go a day without chocolate. How she is able to maintain her flawless complexion and voluptuous shape even when consuming so much chocolate was a mystery. Indeed Flora had commenced with the indulgence. She figured that there could be nothing better than a good snack and a cartoon. Oh how much fun this should be, she thought.

She started with the cookies, taking one at a time then steadily biting off piece by piece, slowly chewing then biting again, sometimes forgetting to swallow. "Yummy." she commented. She continued on, now focusing her interest on the ice cream. She went on to devour it, stopping periodically to look up at the television screen while heeding L's words. She stopped again to look over at him. "I was just reading, or trying to. It kinda ticked me off, but chocolate always makes me happy, and you're nice enough to give me some, so in turn, you made me happy. So, thanks! she proclaimed with a soft giggle.

He smiled, and gave a nod of his head in a soft manner. “No problem, anytime.” He said and nodded as she spoke. “ I was doing some extra Physics work. I do so enjoy Physics.” He said, looking up at the tv for a moment before grabbing his milkshake and slurping it down. He grinned, and grabbed his notebook and flipped it open, scribbling some notes on the recent deaths on campus down…

He looked up, and at Flora… “Have you heard of the deaths on campus? Any ideas what could have happened to him?” he asked, definitely curious for opinions in this matter. He was doing his own research, but he liked input, it helped him clear his head and it helped him feel more focused and into it.

Florencia continued onward with whatever was left of the ice cream. When she was finally done with that, next came the tempting chocolate milkshake. She simply couldn't ever get enough chocolate for one day. Right away she got started on gradually consuming the wholesome chocolatey goodness. She then turned attention over the tv screen again, listening to the young man more than the tv. Physics or any other form of science for that matter was by far one of her worst subjects. Even so, she finds a way to pull through.

What had really caught her ear was the question about deaths. Where? On campus? Well, she couldn't really help but feel sympathy for the victims. Hell, probably no one could. She deeply thought about it as she continued sipping her milkshake. She wanted to savor the flavor. "Well, you're definitely not gonna get anything out of life by killing people. As to whoever the victim is, depending who you're talking about, because I might have known him, then again, maybe not, you can't really help but feel bad for him. Some might think he had it coming, but I don't think that way of anyone. Everyone deserves a chance to live their life. I just don't see why anyone would want to ruin that for 'em."

Ryuzaki nodded, and smiled at her. He agreed with what she had said, and it was nice to see someone who wasn’t just on about how mean the people were and all. Because, sure, the people may have been douchebags…that was no excuse. He had a firm suspect too…. “Yagami Raito…I know you are here somewhere and I will find you….remember…I am justice…” he muttered quietly, then looked up, a smile on his face. He nodded at her and tilted his head to the side a bit. “It’s good that someone has pity for them…many don’t…which is a shame. No matter what they did, all crimes should go to courts to be dealt with. No one person has the right to determine if someone should live or die, especially without a fair trial.” He said.

He then plopped a buffalo wing in his mouth, and chewed it gratefully, enjoying the Honey BBQ sauce on the wings. He pushed the platter her way, offering her some, then he gulped a bit more milkshake as he looked thoughtfully. He then nodded, and wrote something else in the notebook, and munched another buffalo wing as he wrote, the chicken childishly hanging in his mouth.

Florencia giggled lightly, then smiled back. All she ever knew how to do most of the time was smile, even when times were hard. One might think she didn't have a care in the world as to what is happening in the world around her, but really, learning about the murders most definitely concerned her. As to who's doing it, she didn't have a clue. Who knows, anyone could be next. Though she didn't show it, Flora gradually began to grow a bit paranoid. She could have sworn that she may have heard a voice, but couldn't decipher it. She shrugged. "How anyone could not pity anyone in this situation is a shame in my opinion." she then responded.

When she was finally done with her luscious milkshake, which may have taken about ten minutes tops, she couldn't help but feel tempted by the plate of buffalo wings being passed down her way. She just hoped that they wouldn't be too spicy. She took one, gave it a whiff, then bit off a piece. Oh, honey barbecue, outstanding! Without any further hesitation, she began to practically inhale the wings, one by one, not really caring if she were to get a little dirty while doing it. As she ate, she couldn't help but notice L writing something. She loved to talk, and she wanted her time here to be anything but silent, so she just had to ask. "So whatcha writing?"

He looked up, his wide eyes making him ever-so much more Panda-like…and he thought for a moment… ‘By her answers, I can say that I am 98% sure she isn’t associated with Kira…and since I know Yagami Raito IS Kira….so I suppose I can show her…but I must be subtle…most of the people do not realize they are not on their homeworlds, and upsetting that balance could be detrimental…’ he thought, and smiled at her, coming up with an answer, and showing her his notebook of data.

“As you probably notice, that is information on each student death. I, as a hobby, like to solve crimes…and since the killer was at none of these crime scenes, I really do warn you to not give out your real name to just anyone…use Flora. Pseudonyms are best when the killer can kill by knowing your name and face.” He said, and grabbed a buffalo wing and stuffed it in his mouth, looking over at her with a smile, nothing condescending, but a friendly one.

She paused her vigorous buffalo wing eating action when L took the liberty of showing the book he was apparently writing in. Her bronze-like eyes opened up a bit at what she saw. She couldn't really tell exactly what it was he was writing about, but from what she saw, it certainly seemed like a hell of a lot. She took in yet quite a few more wings as she examined the writings. The girl just couldn't stop eating. It is funny how she's able to maintain that figure of hers. "Oooh...." She figured that she shouldn't even bother asking as to what that book was really about. She often thought that she shouldn't really make such things her business.

Flora periodically nodded as he L began to explain what it was he recording. Why would he want to gather information such as details on multiple deaths, she pondered. She quickly shook off that thought as he continued. "That's, umm, interesting..." she began to comment, but she stopped herself when she learned how the deaths were apparently occurring accordingly to his observation. "Well, gee, ain't that somethin'..." she ended up blurting out. "So, what, you're like, an aspiring cop? Detective? Inspector? Private eye?" she went on inquiring. Sometimes she just didn't know when to stop talking. She may often talk took much for her own good. She nodded in agreement with his suggestion, in which she had already done. Most people that knew her ended up calling her Flora anyway. "If you say so."

He nodded, and gave a small smile, before chewing on another wing, and grabbing the book in an odd way, from between his forefinger and thumb, not because he had to, but because he wanted to…It was a character quirk of his. He then nodded again and leaned back in his chair, his voice a bit quiet right now, since he was unsure what to do now…

‘I have to go see Nuriko soon…but I don’t wanna leave yet…’ he thought, and he watched as a good chunk of the group left, disgruntled at the football game’s results. That meant….yep, the music in the place began to blare. He grinned widely, and leapt from his chair, his body swaying a bit as he moved, and before she could do anything, he grabbed her and swiftly moved to the dance floor, his hair in his eyes a bit as he grinned down to her and swiveled her around in a waltz of sorts. “I love to dance…” he said, expertly moving on the floor.

(Lemme now if you want me to change that….)
