A study period. Usagi was grateful for this little bit of time, even though she absolutely did not believe in doing any homework. All she did was sit down and read manga, though she talked to several of the people around her. Usagi was easily a very cheerful and very easily amused young woman.

Perhaps that would make her seem idiotic to most of her classmates.

Usagi didn't care. She was just a very nice person, but she just was simply lazy. Sometimes, she'd powernap during these study periods - she spent much of her time going to bed too late and waking up close to school - which was a habit of hers that she could never shake. She didn't really remember how she got to the point where she so fast to class, but it was just something that she did.

Pulling out a pen, she began to sat and doodle, her books simply resting inside of her desk. Maybe if she did more studying during this time, her grades would shoot up, but she was easily quite oblivious to that fact. How could an airhead like Usagi be assed to remember such a thing? It was so much easier for her to whine, cry and complain about her grades, and end up kicked out of her house.

Near sat in the middle of the classroom, his hair scraggly and in his face and his eyes scanning the room as he fiddled with his action figures. He was so bored. He wanted to be in Calculus, with Ryuzaki, but the school had told him he had to work his way up…and Near did not like that at all. It bored him to no end to have to wait like that.

He looked up at the teacher, then back to his toys…and he let his head hit the desk with a light thump. MAN but he was bored. And they were doing the SAME problem they had been on for twenty minutes now…and no one had guessed it at all. He groaned… and called to the teacher, his head on his cold desk and his eyes shut, aggravatedly. “The answer to the problem is 3(5)y to the negative 4th power!!!” he shouted, frustration in his voice as he kept his head on the desk. He then shouted out the explanation, not moving his head, the complicated explanation pouring from his mouth like it was nothing but natural…

He heard the silence in the room…and the teacher confirming the answer…and he sighed before looking to his right, and staring curiously…He scooted closer to the girl, and spoke…

“Excuse me…but your hair…it defies all logic….It’s very asymetrical…” he said, not being mean, but he was being honest, and blunt. He noticed things like that.

There were, above all, oranges. They were falling from the sky at alarming rates and hitting people in the head, and everyone that got hit turned into a pile of ash. All but Katomi, that is, she just sat there, picking up oranges and eating them. She didn't even brush the human dust off the delicious citrus spheres. She couldn't stop eating, she was so hungry for some reason. Then, Katomi looked up, and saw a watermelon spiraling down toward her. It was going to hit her in the head. Just when it was about to,

"The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plains!" The poor girl stumbled awake in a gargling mess. She looked down, her desk was soaked in drool, and she became aware that she had been sleeping. About oranges and dust people, not to mention. Looking around, she realized she had quite literally screamed the famous My Fair Lady quote.

The girl sunk into her desk, biting her nails in embarrassment. Why had she done that? What in the world was the universal point to that? Was she just doomed to embarrass herself in everything she did? Looking around her to see her peer's reactions, she saw two people talking quietly. Near, one was, and the other Usagi, or something of the sorts. She heard the comment, and began giggling lightly. She had to agree with that boy, it was gravity-defying, "Even if he's right, I think it's pretty."

This guy...was smart. Really smart. And it completely intrigued Usagi. He simply just stood up and shouted his answer, and the fact that he was so right about it...Usagi was just mystified.

Somewhere along the line, she thought that she may have known someone like that. Someone who could answer questions so effortlessly and so well. It seemed as though she didn't need to do much work to get right answers, she just did it. Unfortunately, Usagi was having too much difficult a time recalling that face and that name, so she just didn't worry with it.

However, him coming closer to her and inquiring about her hairstyle was awkward. It was slightly irritating, but it was better than a name that she had often been called - Odango-atama. That name always manage to drive her nuts.

"...really?" Usagi asked, in a way in which she didn't know if he was being insulting or simply being honest. Still, Usagi found it strange to speak to a person that they didn't know in such a manner.

Just before Usagi had made her comment, a girl just screamed out a rather familiar line. Quickly turning around, the girl looked extremely embarrassed, while some of their other classmates laughed or simply stared. Usagi smiled a little bit, but the woman's comment made her feel better.

"Thank you!~" Usagi smiled even more. Most people didn't call her hairstyle pretty - it was often just weird as hell. It made her feel at least a little bit better to know that her hairstyle was considered as pretty to someone.

Near nodded, and looked up at her hair with a slightly shy look. “Yes. But, it is, as she said, quite pretty.” He said, and he looked to the board with a sigh, and rolled his eyes. “The teacher is as new to this as the students…he has no clue what he’s explaining…” he said, and looked over to the new girl who had scooted over. “My Fair Lady…Very nice quote, but it may have been better to shout that in an english class.” He said, before giggling lightly and digging in his bag, taking out some tissues, unused, and offering them to her, discreetly motioning to her face, so she could get the last of the drool off her face.

He looked back to the Sphere-haired girl, and smiled. “My name is Nate River. You can call me Near. What’s your names?” he asked, first looking to Usagi, then back to the other girl. He hated the fact that they were going to be tested on these problems, and most of his classmates were going to be so unprepared….perhaps he could help them somehow. He could tutor, like Ryuzaki-kun…

Well, at least this guy was good-natured about his comment in regards to Usagi's hair. Usagi merely nodded her head when he amended his statement about her interesting, 'gravity-defying' hair. He was interesting in his own right, due largely to his superior intelligence...which was far more superior than hers.

But anyone was better with their academics that Usagi. Usagi's grades were continually awful, but that was due to her own laziness rather than stupidity.

"My name is Usagi!" Usagi's typical high-pitched voice recited her name with the boundless energy that she may as well have been regarded for. "It's really nice to meet you, Near!"

Still 'high' on post sleep, Katomi flashed a thumbs up, and giggled rather obnoxiously. The images of oranges still haunted her mind. She looked up once again, listening to Near offer her the tissues. This certainly awoke her from her half-dead state. She slapped her forehead, and took the tissue politely, wiping her face, "I'm terribly sorry, lately I've been having these awful nightmares, so sleeping's been scarce. When I do fall asleep it's deep, and... Wet." She sighed, finishing off her face, "But I'm Katomi Yasu, you could call me Kat, but that's really a preference thing."

"This class is so confusing, it's no wonder I fall asleep." She shrugged, watching the teacher struggle to teach. That was a sight, she had to admit. Sweat was dripping from his face, and he was stumbling on his words. Clear signs of worry. If anything, Katomi could read people. And well, at that. It was a specialty of hers, you could say, "And nice to meet you two, Usagi and Near."

((Ahh, that was short, sorry. ;/))

Ahhh...Katomi. It was such a beautiful name. Usagi would have been envious of only the name, but the girl on her own was lovely in her own right. Her figure was so lovely, and she had such an aura of strength and seemed to even be serene.

"It's great to meet you too, Katomi!" Usagi smiled yet again, showing Katomi the same exuberance that she had shown Near.

As far as this class was concerned, there wasn't much for her to say about the teacher's style of instruction, "Aah, but I'm horrible at math. I'm bad at English too, but math just always has made me squirm a little bit." Usagi shuddered at the thought of having to fight through all these math problems. She was certain that she would be able to get it if she put the effort in, but where in the would would she be able to summon that drive to do some studying?

Near nodded, looking at them. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both as well.” He said, before slapping his head as the teacher explained something wrong. “He’s backwards. He put step five out of place, he’ll never get the right answer now…I could teach the class better than this…” he mumbled, and he looked around….The class was close to over…and Haruko had rubbed off on him.

“Hey…I have an idea. I could show you EXACTLY where he’s messing you up at. I’m gonna get out of here, this class is a waste. Do you guys wanna come?” he asked, as he snuck his cell phone out, and dialed his own number. His phone rang loudly….and the Teacher looked around. He grinned, and ducked in his seat, before stopping his phone, and hitting what sounded like a ringtone…one that had been recorded from the intercom turning on and off.

“Crshh Mr. Kurome, please report to the head office…you have a phone call…” he disguised his voice, and spoke loudly, and the teacher actually stuttered and bolted for the head office. Near then poked his head out from under the table, and stomped to the top of the room, explaining the error, and giving 2 shortcuts to get the same correct answer. He then went back to his seat, and grabbed his bag, hefting a window, in case the teacher was coming down the hall, and slipped out of the room. He peered in, his head barely showing, as he stood on his tip toes to look up at Usagi and Kat. “You guys coming?” he asked, smiling innocently.

How interesting! Usagi generally did not cut her classes, but something with her didn't mind cutting this class. Besides, she was making friends, and she at least wanted to try something different. Just as long as it wasn't anything too illegal. Usagi was too much of a pure personality.

Just watching Near disrupt the teacher, and the poor teacher being so oblivious to know that he was being taken for a ride...it was funny to say the least. At least Near was doing much of the class a favor by calling that teacher out. He was right in this - the class was soon to be concluded. They would likely not do much during that time anyway.

"I will!" Usagi whispered and nodded her head simultaneously. Grabbing her bag, Usagi made sure that her phone was with her. Checking to make sure that her brooch was at least tied on tightly to her bow, she followed behind Near. It wouldn't kill anything for them to at least hang out sometimes. She did hope that Katomi would come with them as well.

Kat tried oh-so very hard not to laugh as the ring-tone went off. She had the urge to sing along, in fact. This Near guy, he was a new element to Katomi. He had guts, and brains, and the ability to think of escape plans in a moments notice. She nodded sincerely, taking in maybe one or two words of what he had said during the 'fix lesson' before she hopped up from her desk and grabbed her bag.

"Oh, anything just to get air." She laughed, following the two. Kat felt very, very awesome at that moment. Her 'sassy' side being a bit more prominent at that moment. She was usually so shy, maybe it was the lack of sleep that was making her edgy, maybe that new element in Near and Usagi was getting to her. She didn't know what it was, but she did like it. Once they reached outside the classroom, Katomi dropped her bag on top of a locker, making sure her phone was in her pocket, "Nothing in there worth stealing. Or even looking at." She laughed, twirling her hair lightly.

Usagi kept her hand tightly on her brooch as she escaped from the classroom. Near and Katomi didn't look as obvious as students as she did - she was the one in the school uniform, and she was the one with the odd hairstyle. Even though Near's white hair would clearly give him away, Usagi would get busted even quicker.

But all that she cared about right now was hanging around with friends that she had just made. They would at least go out and enjoy themselves a little bit. It seemed that Katomi was rather sassy, but it was unlike the sassiness that she knew of another girl having. Usagi could faintly recall a girl who was extremely sassy...to the point of being just downright mean.

"Well, at least I have what matters most to me." Usagi smiled, running her finger over her compact and holding on tightly to her bag.

Near giggled as the girls followed him, and he grinned. “Sorry ‘bout that…but that was a worthless class. I swear, with him teaching, the whole class will fail…” he said, before stretching, looking at them a bit shyly as he smiled. He was glad to be free of there. And at least now, he had made friends! First Haruko, now Usagi and Kat!

He hopped up a bit and smiled at them, before walking backwards so that he could get a good look at them. They were both interesting. “Your hair really is adorably cute. How do you get it like that?” he asked Usagi, as he rummaged in his bag, grabbing a bag of cookies, and eating one, offering the bag out to them as he turned around to walk with them again.

Waving her hand in the air carelessly, she nodded, "Near, don't be sorry. You saved us from something pointless. Plus I've had my share of drooling for one day." She giggled, looking around for an open window. She felt naked without her damn animals, and at least Nim could fly in. She had no clue how she knew their names, or why they followed her. They just did, she woke up with them.

When Usagi spoke the words 'matters to me most', something pulsed inside Kat's body. She had a second long image of her and this giant wolf, and an eagle. She shook her head, perhaps she was remembering something from a dream. Though, Katomi suddenly felt the extreme need for her animals, more than before. She sped up a bit, opening a window quick, and she let out a sharp whistle. Surely, a lovebird came zooming in, perching herself on Kat's shoulder, "Near, Usagi, this is my friend Nim."

Surely enough Haruka had been walking down the hallway, her school bag held behind her with both hands. She was one of the few that was wearing the school uniform, and a boys one, at that. She was bored, and Japanese Literature hadn't been amusing her. Luckily she was so far ahead in that area that she could easily leave the class and not fall behind - or get yelled at. One hand fell away from the school bag and she covered her mouth, yawning. She hadn't been sleeping well, she'd always been waking up lately after dreaming about the woman with the teal colored hair. The down fall was she could never remember the woman's name. But whenever she thought about the dreams, her heart pounded in her chest.

Haruka took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly. She needed to get over the dreams, after all, that's just what they were - dreams. Right? Down the hallway she could see a group of students, one with white hair, one with blonde hair and another one with.. Dumpling shaped hair? A faint smirk touched Haruka's lips as she approached the three slowly. Her eyes were closed as she walked, ignoring the fact that a bird had just flown into the window and landed on one of the girls' shoulders. "Nice hair, odango atama," she said to Usagi as soon as she was close enough.

One eye opened and she smirked at the girl, her head tilted slightly. What could she say? She liked to pick on people, and the girl gave her the perfect reason to.
