 Twenty years have passed since Samuel Colt died, passing not only the family business on to his son, but his famous gun as well.
The year is 1880, and Caldwell Hart Colt has stepped into his father’s shoes, choosing the life of a hunter over that of a businessman. Armed with his father’s gun and journal, Hart wanders the states and territories in search of the unnatural, twisted, evil creatures that lurk in the shadows and prey on humanity. This is a war that’s been waged in secret for generations, and one that shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.
Luckily for Hart, he’s not fighting it alone.
As people moved west, monsters migrated with them, and the need for hunters has never been greater. Some were raised in the life like Hart, others were thrown into it with the deaths of their loved ones, and still others chose the path of a hunter for the excitement it promised. And as rumors and whispers begin to surface about the discovery of some ancient, supernatural weapon, it seems that these hunters will soon be needed more than ever before…
