"As much as my gut and my heart are telling me to hie off after my sister immediately, perhaps it would be best to at least get you something for your pain and injuries, yes?" Picking up her own pack, Briya opened the door and gestured for Lady to follow her out and down the stairs. The tavern was quiet at this time of day, though the sounds of the cook preparing breakfast in the kitchen and the occasional snore of some traveler who had decided to sleep under a table in the common room rather than pay for a private one cut through the early morning silence. Briya's stomach growled a bit at the smell of frying bacon and biscuits, but she pushed her hunger aside for the time being. They could eat in the saddle, but for now her stomach would have to wait. Walking out of the murky tavern into the bright morning sun, Briya squinted and shielded her eyes, looking around and spotting an apothecary just down the street. Glancing back to make sure Lady was still following, Briya set off down the dusty street, nodding greetings to the handful of people who were out and about. The apothecary wasn't open quite yet, but after some persistent knocking, the door opened and a smallish, squint-eyed man peeked out. He and Briya exchanged a handful of words, and the gypsy held up her belt pouch, shaking it a bit so the man could hear the clinking of coins. Nodding rapidly, he opened the door wide enough for the two women to enter. Glancing at Lady with a smile, Briya said, "Go ahead and look around for what you might need for your ills, or tell this gentleman what you need and he will get it for you. Once you tend yourself, we will provision ourselves and be on our way."- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAGGED: Lady NOTES: None LYRICS: The Used - "On My Own" CREDITS: Thanks to BUNNYA! at Caution 2.0
