Rob, I don't get you - At nationals you were saying how much fun you were having and yet we never see you at the club anymore.

Well to be fair Che we don't see a lot of you either...

But unless Robert has given birth, he can't use your excuse.

I will take the dubious honour of the 15 - 5 to Robert. But I will point out that unlike you competitive folk, I actually gave him a hand with tactics and ideas - it's all about cultivating our new fantasy sapling so that he may grow tall and spread his strong branches... Then we hack him down with cheese and dirty tricks before some dirty aids infected wood elf tries to nest in his foilage!

The Lizardmen under the Saurus Old Blood Itzatehet are not part of the great temple cities as most other Lizardmen are. They are a nomadic tribe if you like, wandering the jungles of Lustria, apparently without cause. They are coloured differently from other Lizardmen, being orange and black rather than the blues associated with the Lizardmen, and are generally treated as outcasts by the other members of their race, but are known to appear suddenly and assist their fellow Lizardmen against raids from the warriors of Chaos or the shambling hordes of Undead. Exerpt from an Empire Scholar studying and living with the Old Blood Itzatehet and his nomadic tribe

During the time of Creation when the Old Ones were shaping the world and creating the races to inhabit it, they foresaw in the far future the need for a group of Lizardmen who were nomadic, treated as outcasts, but had the ability to roam as they liked, targeting minions of Chaos, and occasionally venturing into the Old World to assist the other races in the constant struggle against Chaos. And lo, the Old Blood Itzatehet, meaning First Scholar, rose up from the spawning pools outside one of the Great Temple Cities, immediately showing he was to be an outcast to Lizardmen society. He took with him into the jungle a relatively small band of Saurus Warriors and Skinks, and also a small group of Cavalry. While they were in the jungle, the Skinks managed to capture a young Stegadon and train it to fight for them. They maintain contact through the Slann for information as to the whereabouts of potential prey, and also for voyages to the Old World.

It was on this occassion that such communication was made. One of the priests came up to Itzatehet with a message from a Slann. With a series of clicks and colour changes on his crest he communicated to the Old Blood that they were to go across the ocean to the Old World and assist the Empire in pushing back hordes of Chaos and that they were to meet with the armies of Kroak, Mazdamundi and many of the other Slann before meeting with the armies of Chaos.

With a roar Itzatehe signalled to his troops to get ready to move. The skinks put the howdah on the Stegadon and the Cold One Riders prepared their mounts for the journey to the coast. Instintively forming ranks, the Saurus Warriors started running through the jungle, surprisingly steathily for creatures of their size, with the skinks scouting out ahead, black beady eyes darting this way and that.

They would journey to the coast, make their way to the Old World, and then, do battle with the minions of Chaos.

The sun rose over the horizon, as innumerable figures arched in silence over the hill, the sunlight shining through their skeletal forms. Along side the rank and file archers, sleek chariots and chittering skeletal scorpions travelled over the grass, the lush green blades of grass wilting at their touch. In the centre of their formation stood a hulking bone giant, held together by the magics of the Lych Priests.

From the great forests in front of the Tomb King Army, a terrible roar erupted. The green wall of foliage was suddenly dotted with orange, and then, as if the very trees had parted, a host of Lizardmen appeared. At their head was an ancient Slann, accompanied by an Engine of The Gods. From the tops of the trees Terradons flew down, and chittering skinks formed ranks in front of the units of Saurus. In unison, the Lizardmen and Tomb Kings charged towards one another.

One of the great Stegadons smashed into a formation of chariots, its horns shattering skeletal horse, crew and chariot alike. The Tomb King joined into the fray, and a bloody melee between undead and beast ensued. The Saurus warriors stood firm, as a Skull Catapault turned and prepared to fire. The screaming shot arced through the air and began its path downwards once more into the formation of Saurus, and then in exploded in mid air. A magical barrier generated by the Engine of the Gods reduced the Tomb Kings missiles useless, and under this protection the Saurus continued foward. A skeleta scorpion engaged a group of skinks, who hailed it with volleys of poion tipped darts, and the bone giant and another scorpion lined up the Slann and his retinue. The elite Tomb Guard charged the Engine of the Gods, and in retaliation to this attempt to desecrate a relic of the Old Ones, the Slann an his retinue rushed forward to join in the fray. The other Stegadon and the Tomb King continued, with neither gaining the upper hand.

The Tomb Guard were slowly whittled down, skulls and ribcages being crushed by clawed foot and toothed jaw. As two groups of Chariots attempted to rush around the Lizardmen flank, the Terradons swooped out of a forest and towards the chariots. Huge boulders, eld firm by the swooping Terradons were dropped wth deadly accuracy, shattering the skeletal bodies of the crew and crushing the frames of the chariots. One formation of Saurus turned to face the surviving chariots, and the Scar Veteran within invoked the powers of his Jaguar Charm. With godly speed he sprang out of the formation, rushing towards the chariots flanks. With fury matched only by his speed, he slashed and hacked at the chariots, reducing them to a rabble of broken bones and shattered wood. Seeing one formation destroyed, the circling Terradons moved onto the next formation of Chariots, pelting them with iron hard javelins dipped in lethal poisons.

On the other side of the battle, the Slann and the Engine of the Gods were still locked in combat with the Tomb Guard and the bone giant and skeletal scorpion. With fury unmatched by their skeletal adversaries, the Lizardmen pushed on, reducing their foes number with every blow. As more and more of the skeletal warriors were reduced to dust, the spells bindng them together and holding thei spirits in the physical realm weakened, more and more simply fell backwards, blown away by the wind before they hit the ground. The Chariot holding the Tomb King wa finally flipped over by the Stegadon after a long and furious melee. The Tomb Kin emerged from under his broken transport, and the Stegadon smote him with a savage swipe of its spiked tail. With their General gone, the leaderess Tomb King army started to turn back, but not soon enough for another Priest to have his skull crushed and his limbs torn fromhis body by the Saurus.

The Tomb Kings spell was still going, however it was flickering in and out with every time another Priest fell. As the Lizardmen moved towards the remaining warriors, they would lay low one warrior, and another wuld crumble away to dust. The Hierophant, guarded by the last unit of skeletal warriors stared through emty sockets at the mysterious eyes of the Slann, summoning the winds of magic from his floating stone palanquin. With instinctive unison, the Saurus warriors leapt on the skeletons, pinning them to the ground as the Saurus' teeth and spines tore the Tomb Kings asunder. The Slann cast a raging storm above this last battle, and after a moment of black clouds swirling and gathering in size, a bolt of pure white light sparked down, striking the Heirophant dead centre on its forehead, making light emanate from its eyes and mouth. It leaned back for a moment, mouth wide open in a silent scream, then slammed forward into the ground and was consumed in a fireball. When the light receded and the storm clouds dissipated, the Hierophant was gone, and the strewn bones of the fallen Tomb Kings were blown to dust by a gentle wind, then carried off towards the sea.

The victorious Lizardmen did not look back at the battlefield as they picked up their fallen spawn-kin and melted back into the jungle.
