HUMAN INVENTION: MEMBER GROUPS.
WANDERERS
This is not a group at all actually. These people go around on their own. Some of them believe that they are safer separate from everyone else. After all the smaller the group is the harder it is to be spotted by the invaders. It's dangerous though because you do not have anyone watching your back. There is not a specific type of person that fits this category. Maybe it's someone who wants to find a group of people but hasn't been lucky enough to find one yet. Normally these guys are solo workers, but the group should be no bigger than three if they happen to be traveling with people. Going at it alone is quite dangerous because there are only a two doctors in town, meaning that if you get hurt and you're out there on your own then there is a good chance you are not going to make it. Not everyone knows how to work a gun and even if you did the sound of a gunshot would surely bring attention to you and give the invaders a leeway in regards to your location. Some people just want to be alone though and you cannot blame them for it. It's their own head on the line after all.
HELL'S HOUNDS
This group compromises of a group of high school friends who had been on a New Year’s camping trip in Hell when the invasion occurred. They were safe, out of harm’s way and came home to find their houses abandoned or blown up and to find their family member’s either missing or dead. They knew something was wrong and saw the foreign troops on the streets. After everyone checked their own homes to see if there was anyone left, they all agreed to get some supplies and head back to hell in the dead of the night. On their first trip back to town – two didn’t make it back. Now back in hell, anarchy is raging. Everyone wants to boss everyone around and no one wants to give in to another person's ideas because they think they know it all. What else can you expect when you're dealing with a group of kids that are in that stage of 'knowing it all'. Also, this group is the most likely to be killed due to their inability to plan accordingly. Teenagers just tend to not think things through all of the time. Travers seems to be a good leader, but McDonald has a good point about staying where they are and waiting it out. The only problem is no one knows if the invaders know about hell, a huge expanse of cliffs and terrain that are just past Cobbler's Bay. There are flaws with both plans really. If they stay there they are so far away from town that they won't know if help has arrived and what is going on, but if they go into town they wouldn't know how to really stand up against an invading army, and then there is the thought of finding food for all of them that is most troubling. At least there is plenty of water around?
GENERAL'S GODS
On the day of the invasion, there were enough smart people to board up in a local general store. There is no telling how long this hideaway will last for them since the invaders are looting places for food and supplies, but so far they have not bothered the store which is a good thing for the mass amount of people hiding inside. It’s a pretty good hiding place too, and the only safe house that has any real form of medical supplies. The three storey General Store, holds a dentistry office on its top floor and a general store for its ground floor, and a very useful arm’s dealer in the basement. It has food, medical supplies and weapons the only thing it doesn’t have… is water. Pacey has taken charge of the group and has been designated the leader more or less because everyone just comes to him with questions, his army experience seems to be helpful given the current climax. There are a lot of different age groups running around in this group, but the one thing they all have in common is that they are terrified that they will be found out. This group is the closest to the action and when the invaders realise that there is a group of people in there it will be as easy as one, two, three to kill them all.
COBBLER'S CRUSADERS
Cobbler’s Crusaders, are residing in Cobbler’s Campground. A small cabin filled holiday location, around a kilometre from Cobbler’s Harbour. This is where the invaders first hit. The invaders used the harbour as its main access point and slowly took of the town. The camp was hit first and it was hit hard. Half the cabins were blown up, and the surroundings trees burnt to ash. But people still slowly came to the camp grounds. Going to the only safe place that they remembered. More people are still turning up. But it’s still a dangerous place to be, convoys are still departing from the harbor every hour. But they won’t check out a place that they have already blown apart. The elder Edwards is the group leader, mainly cause it is her parent's property, and the other reason being that she's good at motivating people to work. The people listen to her and trust her, but all of that responsibility is weighing down on her. She's the only one with the key to the gun cabinet, and there are a few people pushing for her to hand out the weaponry that they have. If things keep going like they are, something has to be done or people will start taking matters into their own hands.
DREYES' DEMONS
Dreyes is the family name of the farm, so that's why they call themselves Dreyes' Demons. There are a lot of lazy people in this group. For now they have food and shelter, and they have grown cocky. They think that after the other farms have been looted that theirs is pretty much safe for now. The group is divided between Waley and Wynters, not that either of them really should be considered leaders at this point. One of them doesn't want to be bothered and the other one is a bossy know it all who thinks because he's a cop that he has the authority, but most people know he's a dirty cop as it is. The problem with this group is there is no one calling the shots, which has made everyone complacent. People are not being smart about their rations and at night when they should be quiet and keeping watch they are fighting with each other or sleeping. Very few of them want to work and tend the livestock or the fields, and since most of the workers are dead that leaves it up to Wynters who is the only one left who actually knows how to run the farm. It's a shame he doesn't want anything to do with the lot of them isn't it?
