My name is Kalika, and I have done terrible things. I allowed myself
to become a monster. To cause pain to others was all I was good at. My
family and friends left me in the dark in my times of greatest sorrow.
And I let them. The ones who made me this way, they destroyed my home.
They destroyed anyone in their way. The vampires turned me into their
kin. And now, two years later, they want me to lead a normal life. To
pretend that none of it happened. The undead sent me here to live once again.

So know I leave them to go to Hogwarts. Once there I will try to be...
normal. But I can never be normal. My life is dead, as I am.

There are many things people do not know about us, the vampires. We do
not shrivel up in the sunlight, though it does cause us pain. Crosses are
our main weakness. They give of an extremaly bright light and make us
weak. Silver bullets kill us younger vampires, but they work less on the elders.
And we can fly. Young ones levitate while others can reach unimaginable
hights.

We are normaly picked out and killed because we look better than others.
Once dead and drained of some of our blood, the vampire that bit will wait
two days. On the eve of the second we will rise up and feed. Then we will
truly be a vampire.

But I have hope at Hogwarts. From all I've heard they have had werewolves
and Death Eaters work there and even have dementors gaurd the castle. I
am just hoping that they will except me for who I am, not what I am.

So tomorrow I will get on the train that will take me to what I am hoping
I can call home.

It was September 1st. The say I'd been dreading since I found out I was
going to Hogwarts. What if someone gets hurt because of me? Or even worse...dead.

After I took a shower I got into my favorite black bellbottoms, a black
polo shirt, and my most comfortable black boots. All vampires wear black.
It's mostly leather but I don't find that very comfortable. Only on
special occasions do we where white, red, or blue. I had never paid attention
to how I looked until after my death. I have purple eyes, blackish-purple hair,
and red lips. It may seem weird having purple eyes and hair but you get used
to it. My sisters look a bit different though.

Selestina and Terra are not really my sisters. They are the ones who made
me what I am. Selestina is the quiet one. She has jet black hair that goes
a bit lower than her shoulders. Her eyes are small and gray. She is a century
older than me, and that is still young in vampire years. Terra meets people at
parties and takes them home. They are rarely turned into one of us. She likes
to just make them forget everything. We vampires can hypnotize people. But
Terra has waist long blonde hair and blue eyes. She is only two hundred and
fifty years old. That is still kind of young. But they are extremly close to
me. They make it seem like I never lost my real family, they are my family.

So after a while I went downstairs and said goodbye to all the elders. The
younger vampires would be escorting me to the platform. I had packed the few
outfits that I owned since all of them mixed and matched pretty well. Selestina
helped me fly over to Kings Cross since I was only two years dead and could not.
We stopped after an hours flight and everyone hugged me and said goodbye. I
walked through the barrier. Pathetic magic. Barely enough for anyone not
to see through. The place was crowded with wizards and witches of all ages.
There was a boy about my age, or how I looked at least, that had messy jet black
hair and green eyes. Behind him were two others. A girl with puffy brown hair
and a red haired boy with thousands of freckles. They got on the train right
before me. I waited a minute and knocked on the door of their compartment. The
red haired boy opened it.

"Yes?" he said. He sounded kind of amazed. The girl on the seat gave a look
of disapproval.

"Can I sit here? The other compartments are filling up fast." I waited for
an answer.

"Umm..." he looked towards his friends. They nodded. "Sure. Come sit
down." I closed the door behind me and sat next to the girl on the seat across
from both boys. "My name is Kalika," I said kindly to them all.

The red haired boy shook my hand. "Ron Weasley."

"Harry Potter." The boy looked as if he was expecting me to say something he
was accustomed to hearing.

"I've never heard of you. Are you the Ministers's son or something?" Ron and
the girl burst out in laughter. Harry blushed. "never mind then," I said.

The girl sat up, her face red from laughter,"My names Hermione Granger. What'd
you say your last name was again?" She sat there catching her breath and
looking up at me. I'm sightly tall for my age.

"I didn't because I don't have one. Where I was born no one has a last name."
It was a good lie. They believed me. Vampires do not have last names. Kalika,
Selestina, Terra, Xavier. We must stick with these names for life.

"Are you new here?" said Ron,"You know, an exchange student from Beauxbatons
or something?" Harry elbowed him in the ribs.

"Do you automatically think that every pretty girl you see is from that place?"
He whispered quietly, but I could hear it like it was being told to me. We have
remarkable hearing.

"Nice to know what you think of me Ron." He sat up so fast that he nearly flew
of the seat. He started blushing and i couldn't help but laugh.

They were so nice to me. harry, Ron, and Hermione offered to show me
around the castle when we got there. I think that for the first time I
actually have friends.

"So where are you from?" asked Hermione. I really don't think she likes
anyone who Ron likes. And I mean that he thinks is pretty.

"I am an exchange student like Ron said earlier. But not from that place.
I'm form Durmstrang." Everyone else looked at each other like it was a bad
thing. But it was the truth. Although I had little magic in me I was still
considered one with great power to Kakaroff. The fool dissappeard just
three years ago, one year before I became a vampire.

Hermione turned back to me. "What's it like there?"

"Cold. I knew someone famous though. I was great friends with Viktor
Krum." Ron gave Hermione a horrible look. She turned at the window and didn't
say anything for a long time. "Do you not like him or something Ron?" I
asked in the mildest way possible. I definatly did not want to see him mad.
He just doesn't seem like a person who'd handle things in another way, besides
attacking like I do. We might actually have alot in common.

"It's nothing. It's just that he...nevermind."

The rest of the ride was pretty much silent from then on.

just kiddin'
anyway, it has always been very quiet here. Hardly anyone writes to each other
(seeing as there is nothing to talk about), no one ever posts(cause I lost the link
to the other copy of my fic), and no one ever....well I can't think of anything else.
Am I all alone...just like on my other fic?
