Elena had a lot on her mind, that was something that always seemed to be true anymore. If it wasn't one thing, it was something else. Klaus was always an issue, ever since they had found out about him. When really, that was barely over six months ago...though it felt like so much longer. Perhaps because the past summer felt like it had lasted an eternity. He was supposed to be dead, but if he had...he certainly wouldn't have been the only person gone now. Which brought on another person who was a constant concern of hers. Stefan. They had him back, he was himself once again...but at the moment it was all a lie. No one knew things had changed, in public she had to act like she had lost him...Klaus had compelled him and they all had to make him believe it had actually worked. If he learned the truth...there would be hell to pay.
This of course had all started because of the curse. The curse itself, she personally had no desire to break it...even in order to kill Klaus. Dying was the last thing that she wanted...and Elijah's plan, she had been hesitant with the whole thing. But she had no choice, the ritual happened... And she had been right, she had a bad feeling and by going through with it...she lost two of the very few family members she had left. John, her biological Father...she hadn't really ever been close to him, but he had given up his life for her own. Then there was Aunt Jenna, and it was because of her...if nothing else, that Klaus had to die. Klaus had taken too much from her already, even before he got to Stefan as well.
Sitting in the middle of class, English, the final class of the day. Paying attention, was rather hard, and it wasn't due to lack of interest in the subject. She just had a lot going on, far more than any girl her she should. It was supposed to all be over! Letting Klaus break his curse, he was supposed to have been killed and life was supposed to go back to normal! It was so frustrating. If only she could see Elijah now, she'd give him a piece of her mind. Last she heard, he had died...serves him right, only an idiot could trust Klaus. It's why she had let herself even get sacrificed in the first place, so that it would all end. She had died, and still, it was far from over. Oh no, now she was Klaus' own personal blood bag. He didn't want her dead...but being used like this, it was hardly much better. Resting her chin on the palm of her hand, her brown eyes remained focused on the front of the class. Though her mind was focused on anything but the lesson being taught.
Her senior year of high school, wasn't this supposed to be the best year of her life? Prom, graduation...really her last year of a teenager? All the typical high school issues, they almost seemed trivial compared to everything else. But she wasn't about to ignore them, normal...it was exactly what she needed. She was going to keep living her life, yes killing Klaus...and keeping Stefan were top priorities... But she also wasn't just going to sit there and let her life pass her by..... Her thoughts were cut short, the bell ringing had her attention. Signaling that not only class but school as well was over for the day. The students filled out rather fast, the teacher included... Some meeting or another was right after school. Standing up, she started to collect her things, but while getting her books she knocked her bag off on to the floor. "great..." She muttered under her breath. At least she was alone(or so she thought) so no one had seen. With a sigh she slide out of her desk, bending over she began to collect everything that had fallen out.
