He holds his own ideas higher than other's, and only very few people are able to make him see reason and accept that perhaps, he's the one in the wrong. This is, admittedly, most likely the worst of all of his traits given that Herman's heart is always in the right place, usually meaning well; but he's halfway incapable of admitting and recognizing his own flaws, even though he is entirely aware of the difference between what's right and wrong. He just sometimes prefers to be oblivious to it all.

In his friendships he exhibits a childish sense of possessiveness, finding it somewhat difficult to deal with his best friends having positive relationships with people that he is not particularly fond of. This comes from his competitive nature, and tendency to rivalries. His need to one-up others in this regard and inability to grasp the basic concept of sharing could have manifested in a more serious or sinister manner, but it is not in his nature to take himself particularly seriously and so instead is usually displayed in the form of something of an intense rivalry.

Impatient and impulsive, Herman doesn't have much of a mouth filter, and chances are that he's not even familiar with the term at all. He has the rotten habit of dealing with his problems by punching them in the face, and very rarely takes back a word he's said to anyone. Despite of this, he strongly believes in fair play and honesty, perhaps the two qualities that make him suitable for the Hufflepuff house. Herman doesn't like to see other people cheated or lied to, though he isn't inclined to swoop in and rescue just anyone from a scam; he tends to take to people who seem to need defending quite easily. After all, punching people in the face and openly picking up fights can be considered honest - brutal, but honest all the same.

He plays the Lute for The Weird Sisters, which also happen to be his best mates a long with the Quidditch team for which he plays Keeper. He doesn't really get close to people outside of that group but that by no means he doesn't talk to anyone else. The words that come out of his mouth, howeve,r depends entirely on how the other person reacts to him.

This little gem of mine is really, really easy to plot with because HERMAN WOULD TALK TO ANYONE so establishing relationships with him shouldn't be hard. If you have any questions, you can check out his app for more info or just drop me a PM to his account. I'm looking for EVERYTHING! so don't hesitate to suggest something!

he's currently caught up with a lover (that he has no intentions of leaving) right now but if you have suggestions for past girlfriends, I am more than willing to hear them.

CELESTINA and HERMAN
Gotta throw Tina at him so bear with me. She's a Ravenclaw and a year above him but
what they have in common is music. She is a future famous singer but right now she is
just dreaming about making it big. Mostly she sings but she also plays piano and is
learning the guitar. Tina is a pretty chill person for the most part, she does her own thing,
doesn't really care too much about what people think of her. She is kind of out there at
times and marches to the beat of her own drummer and all of that. She is just a very
confident person who believes in her goals absolutely and is very passionate about her
path in life to became a famous singer. Tina is pretty tight with some other members of
the Weird Sisters, namely Kirley, Merton, Heath, and Orsino. I am hoping that Tina and
Herman could perhaps have a friendship too. They are rival Keepers but off the pitch
she isn't super competitive. Her trash talking is more playful than anything else. She is
flirtatious so she's probably flirted with him at some point. Basically she is a pretty
easy person to get along with as long as you aren't some crazy ass Slytherin bitch. So
yeah!

DONNY and HERMAN
Lol forgot this one! SOOOO these two have to be bros because they are in the band
together and that just makes them awesome. I think that Donny and Herman would
get along great because they both just basically don't care about what they say that
much. Donny is the only Sister that is not in Hufflepuff but he still bros out with the band
all the time and it is basically awesome.

[dohtml]

HERMAN & DORCAS
She likes him because she feels he has an equally unfortunate name. They should become friends and form am "our parents clearly hated us" club. Unless he likes his name in which case she'll be like, "Herman? Really? I'm just going to call you Manny." Anyway. They are quite a bit alike in that they are both very firm in their own beliefs and stubborn when it comes to defending them. Dorcas has a hard time admitting that she might be wrong as well, so there is the potentially for a bit of clashing there if/when they end up disagreeing about things. Other than that, though, I think they could get along quite well overall. Dorcas is friendly will most of the other Sisters, but not friendly enough that she would awaken Herman's jealousy. She would appreciate his lack of filter because she's most comfortable with people who are straightforward and say what they're thinking, even when it's not flattering. She wouldn't mind his temper and tendency to pick fist fights either. She thinks it's a bit rash, but at least it's honest and straightforward. Better a punch to the face than hexing someone from behind in the halls or talking about them behind their backs. She also thinks it's awesome that he plays the lute, because who plays a lute nowadays? Cool kids, that's who. Um. That was a lot of rambling but basically I think they would get along and could be friendly despite being in different years/houses.

LUCIUS A. MALFOY - June 28, 2012 08:51 AM (GMT)
KIRLEY AND HERMAN
Kirley wants to be part of the unfortunate first
name club xD Also, he and Herman should be
bros because they're bandmates, Quidditch
mates, and Hufflepuffs.

LUCIUS AND HERMAN
Lucius thinks he sounds crass and uneducated
when he opens that halfblood mouth of his xD
Can't imagine they like each other very much.

KINGSLEY AND HERMAN
Kingsley is a Gryffindor beater so I can see him
and Herman having rivalry on the Quidditch
field. No real reason for him to dislike Herman
personally - especially since honesty and fair
play are important things to Kingsley. Not
close friends but not really enemies either?
Or something else. Just let me know, I'm
flexible xD

Celestina!

Herman loves talking about music with anyone that will listen and making it big. Because like Tina, that is his ultimate goal so that he can support his parents and pay them off to disown his older brother. But that will all come in time! I could definitely see them being tight especially if she already is with some of his other bandmates. He prefers people that aren't such cookie cutters so he'd probably like her even more because she does her own thing. So yeah! Friends, friendly banter about him being the better keeper XD and sometimes flirty! Sounds good!

Donny!

Oh yeah, him! Screw filtering speech! Ha. It's always better when what's on ones mind is actually said, so I do agree with you that they'd get a long smashingly. All the houses suck to Herman so he doesn't care that your a slytherin. You're a Weird Sister. That's all that matters.

Dorcas!

Yeeeeahh. Parents can be so cruel can't they? MANNY IS AN ACCEPTABLE NICKNAME. He approves. I like them being friends and having this club. He doesn't like his name and often just pretends his middle name is his real first name. not that that works, like, at all. Anywho, I like your rambling and I agree with pretty much all of it. Herman tends to forget his wand, especially on the weekends which is why he usually relies on his fists more than magic. He also only gets jealous any of the sisters get with someone that he doesn't like, so that wouldn't really be a problem if it came to her. HE LOVES THAT YOU THINK THE LUTE IS COOL. Cause honestly, it is. And he'll prove otherwise to those that don't think it is. So I agree with everything! Friends forever and 'Our parents clearly hated us' Club mates!

Kirley!

Epic friendship is what I see. And he can definitely be part of the club, even if Herman thinks your name is not as bad as his own. Honestly, Herman? wft. Bros for the win.

Lucius!

No, I don't imagine so either. XD Herman probabyl calls you Lucy just to fuck with you and thinks your one of those Nancies and Twats that the whole school is filled with.

Kingsley!

I agree. They would kind of be on the middle ground because while he has nothing against you they do have that rivalry and Herman is EXTREMELY competitive. So this sounds good to me!

MATTHEW A. SCAMANDER - June 28, 2012 10:08 AM (GMT)
[dohtml]

HERMY & MATT

They're in the same year and both play Quidditch so I'm sure there's some kind of relationship there...though I think it's either rivalry or friendly rivalry (I just imagine Keepers/Chasers have some serious rivals). Well and tack on the fact that they're both super competitive and it seems inevitable. I think it could be a friendly one since they share some similar characteristics like being impatient and impulsive. Could be a dangerous combination. But I'm up for whatever!

HERMY & ETHAN

Ethan thinks he's gross and he'd look good in a casket.

HERMY & LIBBY

She also has no filter. I feel like they could get along pretty well but he may be really turned off by the mask of Pureblood Supremacy she wears when necessary. I'll save diving into any relationship details until I know how he'll handle all that, just to save us both some time. xD

HERMY & DREW

Drew graduated last year but he was in Hufflepuff. I could see them getting along because both are completely comfortable with talking to just about anyone so I imagine they would have done so with one another over the years. He would find Hermy's lack of filter completely entertaining. And perk (totally not a bribe), if they're friends he can get discounts at Zonko's and Quality Quidditch Supplies...just sayin'.

[/dohtml]

HERMAN A. WINTRINGHAM - June 28, 2012 06:21 PM (GMT)
Matt!

I always thought the same thing too! Friendly sounds good because aside from Quidditch I think Herman wouldn't mind Matt too much.

Ethan!

Feelin's mutual mate.

Libby!

The only time that Herman would be turned off by her mask is if she ever started spouting the nonsence to him. Aside from that, Herman treats everybody the same until they ruin it and he has to start being a jerk. XD

Drew!

Oh! He likes you. Herman loves it when people are just as unfiltered as him because it definitely makes the day more interesting, so I think that he would've got on with Drew great while he was in school and he appreciates the Quidditch discount buddy! like, eternal love for that one.

Emma M. Scamander - June 29, 2012 08:36 AM (GMT)
Herman and Emma
So they're both in the same year and both love quidditch. She's best friends with Donny and sister of Matt. I think it's inevitable that they know each other! I definitely think they'd get on quite well too! Emma would love that he had no filter, since she thinks too many people do. I can definitely see them having crazy conversations and adventures. And she'd just admire his talent on the lute.

Herman and Ella
They're in the same house and Ella likes hanging out with the Weird Sisters, so I think they would know each other! And if he's friends with Dorcas and Tina then he'd definitely know Ella. I think she'd find him interesting! She's quieter than her two friends. She's also a prefect. But she's pretty easy going, for the most part. Until recently, though, she wasn't a rule breaker. Now she picked a dousy to break! Anyways, she'd think it's awesome that he plays the lute! And they should be friends of some sort!
