Extended InfoDescription: Click HereThe Batman is depicted in many variations of costume. Most commonly on Gotham Nights he can be seen in an all black intimidating Batsuit equipped with a variety of gadgets and lined with Kevlar armor.
Personality: The Batman often portrays a serious and a no nonsense attitude. Although he has vowed never to take a life out of revenge the Batman often leaves criminals crippled or injured badly enough for them to abandon a life of crime. Normally Batman works alone, but he is often aided by other heroes when something serious is going down in Gotham. Batman only fights injustice, and can not be bought or bargained with when he takes a stand on an issue. Batman has several alter egos, most popular being Bruce Wayne. Although Bruce is actually a billionaire humanitarian and philanthropist he portrays himself as a cowardly drunk playboy and disgrace to his father’s name in order to conceal his secret. To Batman Bruce Wayne is his mask, and if his secret was ever discovered he would abandon the spoiled billionaire act.
Abilities: Great wealth of wisdom, keen detective skills, worldly experience. Bruce Wayne seemingly has the power to overcome any reasonable challenge set before him as long as he is given a sufficient amount of planning time. Batman is renown as an incomparable athlete. The Batman has been credited with such high fighting skills he was arguably Earth’s greatest martial artist. He is also considered to be "The most dangerous man on Earth," according to Superman. Despite not having superhuman powers like many of his fellow superheroes, Batman instead relies on his brains and clever gadgets. He has trained his Bat disciples to wield Batarangs, and virtually removed the fear of falling to death from their heads.
History: Everyone knows the story of how Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered which drove him to become an avenging creature of the night. But the story of the “bat” behind the man is often overlooked. Bruce Wayne traveled the world studying under great martial artists of all styles. More notably he studied under the great Zatara, considerably the world’s greatest escape artist at the time. He left knowing what it meant to have a reason to fight for, but unfortunately it cost him a happy ending life with Zatara’s daughter Zatanna. Bruce Wayne returned to Gotham City to avenge the death of his mother and father. The first night didn’t go so well however… Bruce dressed like a common criminal and had no distinction over any other vigilante, and would do noting the police couldn’t. Then one night a bat shattered through the window of his study landing perched on a decorative bust stretching its mighty wings that had carried it with ancient grace. The bat had fiery red eyes of a thousand wandering warriors. It was the same creature that picked Bruce to become one with the night, for the two had met many years ago when Bruce fell into the monster’s cave.
That night Bruce realized he had to become something more… Something more then a man, for he needed to become a symbol. Something that would strike horror in the hearts of those who would do evil. That night the Batman was truly born, for Bruce Wayne had metaphorically transformed into a host of a fiery demon that had haunted him so many years ago. He learned the creature was not trying to frighten him, but rather prepare him for his destiny. Batman has now went about taking back Gotham from those who would do evil.
