Now, it's not like Jovan wanted to cause problems for the fine people of this wonderful, peace loving city. No, he would never do that.. He was just going to have a little fun.. that was all.. But then again, for a pirate, fun usually involved either violence or stealing. Which ever came first.
The elf sat at the bar of the local pub, watching the simple people visiting and laugh. The fairly tall elf sipped from his goblet, the handsome eyes of silvery gray wandering from face to face. His long, curly dark hair was hanging upon his shoulder, the black head band which bore the skull and cross bones hidden. (For now at least.) The faithful rapier of stormsteel lay at his hip, the flint lock in the highly decorated belt. Billowy white tunic and dark breeches smelled of the sea, one of his buckled boots lying on one of the stool legs, the other was having it high heeling tapped against the wooden floor.
The short bar maid came over to him, a steaming plate of food in her worn hands. She set it down in from of him. "That'll be seven copper." she grunted.
Jovan sighed, setting down his drink. He pulled the coins from his belt pouch, not the purse that lay under his tunic. He slipped them into her out stretched hand, and she walked away. He began to tear at the large piece of meat in front of him, also taking a bit of the loaf. The sound of laughter filled his delicate ears, and he turned. Two rather large men next to him were talking rather loudly, their races rosy and their tall glasses nearly empty. Jovan grinned. He looked around to see that now one was looking, took a small stone from his belt, closed on eye to line it up with his target, and gave it a hard flick with his agile finger. It hit the back of the man's head. The man howled and turned to his friend. "What was that for?" he said in a loud hic-up.
"I didn't do noth'n." the other replied.
"Yes you did, don't deny it!"
Jovan calmly finished his meal as the fists began to fly. He winked at the flustered barmaid you was trying to stop one man from throwing a stool at the other, and quietly slipped out of the tavern. He yawned and stretched as his gray eyes sparkled in the bright sun. Today was going to be a good day, he could feel it.

Vicen, recently back from reciving his "payment"(a dragon egg for those who didn't read/be a part of any RP with him in it), was walking down the street, bulap sack voer one shoulder. He counted the money he had gotten from another one of his jobs and had planned to enter the taver to find more work and relax when he saw a stool fly out the window. guess i'll have some funn today as well as find a job he said calmly. he noticed another persons tanding right outside the taverna nd just waved as he walked inside the tavern. Outside, yells and sounds of punches could be heard from inside. two emn flew out the window through the same hole the stool had, without breaking the window any more. Vicen's head popped outt he window along with his ahnd, holding some money he had taken from the men. with a sly smile he said, "Thanks for the food guys. And if yout ry to come after me, it'll be more than afew pieces of silver." he puleld his head back into the tavern where most people were lookinga t him, one man, with no weapons used, had taken down two big, drunk, angry men.

Jovan watched, with almost pride in his eyes as he watched the two men fly onto the ground where they were greeted by large pieces of glass. He softly chuckled, and had turned to leave when he heard a voice whisper to him in a familiar language. "Do you understand me?"
Jovan looked him over. Missing fingers, and blood thirsty eyes... Jovan stopped his hand from flying to his rapier, and answered. "I do." A odd smile spread over his face, his eyes slightly narrowing. "And how did you know I speak the tongue of rouges-"
Jovan grew silent as two knights walked up to him, "Who did this?" One shouted at him, pointing to the two men on the ground. His partners hand was tightly wrapped around a vicious long sword.
"They have had too many spirits." Jovan responded calmly. He waved a lazy hand towards the tavern. "Ask the bar maid, she will tell you who threw them out."
The knights looked the two of them over, turned, and entered the tavern. Jovan looked to the stranger, a deviant look in his eyes. "Now what was I saying?"

Vicen was sittinga t the window, twirling a glass on his finger. He noticed two gaurds walk in. He watched the bar maid point to him and the gaurds walk over. "If you're here to hire me, i dont work for the military or any other formal power." he said this without even looking up. One of the gaurds shook their head and began to speak but vicen cut him off, "If it's about those two drunken monkeyes outt here that's not your problem or concern anymore. If you have a problem, deal with it and leave." He watched as the gaurds began to speak again. he tossed the glass into the air and punched the first oen in the stomach, followed by the next one being hit in the head by Vicen's hand as he caught the glass and tossed it to the bar maid. he then threw them both out the window as he ahd done the two drunk men before. Sticking his head outt he window and smiled slyly, again holding money he had taken from them. he tossed the money to the bar maid and then jumped out the window. "Some people never learn their place in life, those of us who are strong deserve respect, regardless of their position in the social ladder." he looked over at the two people talking. though unfamiliar wih the language he listened anyway,a cting as if he was lost.

A smile spread over Jovans face. It was very odd to describe it, but I suppose one could call it a smile that was a mixture of joy and hysteria. "Hhhmmm, I'll tell you what. I'll agree to this little "game" if you can do one of two things." Jovan turned, and looked back with a wink. "You first have to keep up with me and second..." he pointed over his shoulder at the several figures that loomed near by. "You can't let them catch you."
With another wink, and a small chuckle, Jovan bolted down the street. 'Might as well,' he thought as he whipped out the long black bandana and put it back in its proper place. The Jolly Roger figure sneered at the crowd as he ran by. Why was Jovan running you ask? Well.. A group of knights looked after the fleeing figure as they helped their fellows to their feet. "That's the elf from Andre," one called. "The DragonFeather elf with a bounty on his head, Jolly Roger."
The glared after the fast moving elf. "Half of you stay here, and the rest," his gaze lingered upon Vicen. "Deal with the ones who have injured our men."

Splat...
Jovan felt his stomach tighten as the thick, warm, wet crimson washed over him. He gazed down at the body that lay twitching on the ground that had once been a man as his large steed galloped away with a frightened neigh. Jovan felt his body grow cold, and he felt the urge to give up his meal.. But he swallowed and fought it off. He had only felt this way only once in his short life.. And that had been in the battle those fateful years ago... The battle that had destroyed the only life and family he had ever known.. It was true that Jovan had killed other men.. but that had been in a fair hand-to-hand battle. And he only used the flint lock for defense and that only. He looked at Shande, a shiver down his spine making his body even colder. Shane was also covered with the man's blood... but it didn't seem to bother him.. His eyes were cold.. dark... Was being by this strange human's side a horrible mistake? But now it was too late.. The knights would think that he and Jovan were partners.. Why must we do things that we will come to regret?
Jovan heard the sounds of a sword being drawn from behind him. In mid-run, and with elvin dexterity, he pulled the pistol from his belt and fired. The small iron ball flew through the air, piercing it's target. The knight dropped his sword and grasped his heavily bleeding wrists with murmuring whimpers. Jovan returned to the firearm to his belt and ran hard and fast. He did not answer Shane's question, he just ran.
As the young elf fled, heart pounding against his chest, he thought about what the human had just said. "I can't call for my dragon.." A dragon.. The image of the dying Tamtra dripped into his mind like the blood that now dripped down from his wet curls onto his stained cheek. Jovan sharply turned into an alley. It had a high wall that blocked others from going into the quiet streets beyond. Jovan looked over his shoulder, checking for Shane, and then began to climb. He placed his hands into the jagged holes, slicing open pale, slender fingers.
