There, sitting on soft sand and surrounded by her unborn children, is the Mother Dragon. There has been none like her. No one has ever clearly described her, for she is never the same. Her scales shift in their color, flowing like a strange and magical liquid. None can deny the wisdom those odd, understanding eyes hold. Even the bravest warriors feel like children under her gaze. Great horns, arch back from her brow to cast their shadow on the rainbow crest she wears like a crown. Between those horns is a gem. Some say it enables her to read your future and your soul. Others say it is more precious than a castle of diamond. Great wings fold over her back, no one knows the last time they were used, if ever at all.

Her eggs spiral around her, their shells all of varying texture, color and thickness. It is said the shell resembles the baby dragon's personality, for it never gives away it's identity. Each egg sits an equal distance from it's neighbors, sitting in a ornate crystal holder. There is not a single empty holder, a mystery many wonder about.

Where did these crystal objects come from? The same question can be asked about the torches that line walls, their holders carved from the mountain's rock itself. They are shaped like coiled dragons, the fire seeming to come from their mouths, casting dancing shadows on the cavern's walls. Statues looking like dragons on their haunches seem to guard the large, ornate archway: the only entrance to the great cavern. There is no door, no curtains to cover this archway. One must simply walk into the cavern and lock eyes with the Mother Dragon.

However, the treck is never as easy as that. Of course not. A maze of unlit tunnels wind their way through the mountain. Many people have marked the walls, showing the way, though some are marked falsely. It can take days to find the Mother Dragon's Cavern. On thing is certain, however, no matter how winding and crooked the path going in is, it's always a straight path leading out.

(*bows down for forgiveness in being inactive* Honestly, I havn't been in the roleplaying mood. But now I am, and must take advantage of it!)

Poor Solstice, she's been wandering around the tunnels for an hour now. She gripped the moon charm in her hand, getting an imprint of it. She didn't know why she was here. A week ago she had heard people talk of a dragon. Of course she was curious. But beyond that, she'd had no idea what to do.

Her kimono made swishing noises as she walked. She kept quiet as she wandered. She wasn't the one to mumble and curse. Her footsteps were quiet as well, walking on the tips of her toes. She'd heard that dragons were testy creatures and Sol wasn't going to take any chances.

Her mind was thinking at a rapid speed. One of her fears was being locked up, and surely this was similar? She noted the tunnels, despite the fact that she got lost.

Just like a helpless child (yeah)
Can you whisper in my ear
Let me know its all right
