Nestled in the south of Gidaal is the Kivad Empire. Most of the land is made of either desert or mountain, leaving the rest of the empire to be roads and farmland. However, the amount of land maters not to the Kidavi people.

These are people of spirit, art and family. It is their strong beliefs that have motivated their soldiers to fight and protect their empire. Their artists are unparralelled. Many travel to the Empire just to attend the festivals.

The Empire is ruled solely by the Empress or Emperor, whichever it happens to be at the time. When the ruler take's his/her throne, they seek out their hier, their replacement. It is then the Empress' duty to train her heir to the best of her ability. Yes, an Emperor or Empress can wed and have children, but it is law and tradition that states an Empress/Emperor must choose his/her own heir. After all, who can tell if the offspring will really be as good a ruler as his/her father/mother? When Chosen, an hier is usually 10-13 years of age. They are taken from their families, whether the family is rich or poor, and takes up residence in the palace. From that point on, they are trained to take the throne once the current ruler dies.

Empress Aevana watches over her country currently, her Hier already chosen (Yes, the Hier is a playable character.). She is focused on war, always prepaired for the next strike the Kingdom makes against her.
