Thanks to Wormtail, three different universes of Harry Potter got mashed into a seperate realm. Voldemort, naturally is furious with him and is yet to decide his fate. But in the mean time, there are two versions of almost everyone. Hopefully, they don't end up killing each other.

646 words, Hermione,Finished
It was raining outside the castle and the students were inside the castle's warm.Ron was returning to the Common room from the Quidditch field. He needed training and something to make him feel better,he needed to clear his mind from everything that was going on around him.He was breathing heavily as he was walking slowly through Hogwart's grounds. He wasn't really looking where he was going,he was just walking. He knew where he had to turn after all those years he spend here and he wasn't worried about bumping into people. It was about dinner time.. everyone else was in the great hall eating dinner. And Ron wasn't.Something that was VERY unusual for him,but he didn't want to eat anything. He was worried, stressed and confused. So far this year, it was not a typical year at Hogwarts. This year was a true confusion.Confusion was one word that could describe what they were living.Madness maybe was the other word that could do.Suddenly they have to deal with yet another mystery and Ron wasn't that big fan of misteries.Hermione most certainly was.She seemed fascinated by the whole different realms thing that they were living. But as for Ron all this..thing was driving him crazy and he was searching desperately the bright light inside all this madness.
Lost deeply in his thoughts.Only one though made him feel better.Only that thought, the thought of her, brought shivers at his spine.Who?Hermione Granger.Weird huh?And you would say that she was his best friend.Yes she was but this couldn't stop the way he felt for her. It's just a tiny crush Ron!Relax..he kept saying to himself. But she was different,so much different from all the other girls, she might annoy him some times but she was amazing.Clever, beautiful, kind hearted...the fact that they are always bickering never really have gave him the chance to make him see the bright side but when he did it was marvelous. When they were not fighting, when they were just not even talking.Just staring at her. What if?He mentally slapped himself for even thinking all those things. He had already reached Grand Staircase. The boy sighted.Come on Ron!She is only your friend...you only think of her as a good friend..right?This question was torturing him all the way up to the Common room.“Wolfsbane.”he muttered "Come again?"the fat lady said with a teasing tune at her voice.Ron felt far too tired to even get angry."Wolfsbane."he repeated loud and clear. The portrait opened so he could enter.
As he entered,Ron looked around him to see if there were any other people there. To his relief he was alone.A smirk appeared to his face as he threw himself at the armchair. He was soaking wet and he was breathing heavily. A few moments passed, Ron stood, he paced the room.Silence never seemed nicer. He saw a rain drop landing at the window. That made him smile a bit.But it wasn't one of those happy smiles,it was more like a smile out of lonelyness. He never really felt really lonely but he needed to spend some time on his own.He needed to think, think of things that he never got the chance to think while he was with his friends.Everybody needs sometime by themselves right? The fire was starting to go out. He pulled out his wand and muttered "Incendio" The fire re-lit and Ron went about pacing for a moment. He took his cloak off at the armchair and he kneeled closer to the fire.He was shaking from the cold.He stopped pacing and leaned against the the wall near the fireplace. His wand still in his hand, as his eyes gazed into the fire. Outside of the common room, he could hear someone saying the password. The door came open.Whomever it was he thought, could speak to him first. He listened to the footsteps come near him. Just one person. Alright Ron could deal with one person. Honestly, right now he hoped it was Harry. He could use some advice, from his best mate or just play wizard chess with him.

Some say I'll be better without you
But they don't know you like I do
When in doubt, Hermione went to the library. She had spent a tremendous amount of time in there today with a small break about two o'clock for a quick snack. Thankfully the library wasn't too crowded due to the rainy weather. The other students must have chosen to stay either in their common room and wander the halls with friends. There wasn't much else to do unless they wanted to get soaked outside. Hermione didn't think that was reasonable and preferred to keep herself dry. Why would she purposely chill herself to the bone? Since she didn't play Quidditch, she definitely had no need to walk out there. She head learned long ago that rainy weather seemed exciting for boys to play in. She couldn't fathom why because the drops would get in their eyes and they would be dragged down by the overbearing water. However, Hermione wasn't here to ponder the reasoning behind playing Quidditch in the rain. She definitely wasn't researching that subject while she was in the library.
Hermione's current topic of research was alternate dimensions. However, she wasn't getting anywhere. There appeared to be no books on such topics and she released a frustrated sigh. She was surrounded by different books of all shapes and sizes. None had proved to wield anything fruitful. She hated not knowing anything about a topic. She prided herself for knowing as much information that she could. She was completely clueless of what exactly was going on around here. She had figured that it was a strong possibility that they had been pulled into another dimension along with another alternate universe of themselves. To put in simple terms, it was a weird mix up. She couldn't explain it just yet and she couldn't figure out a way out of this mess. She would have to find the original cause of this, but she was currently on relying on suspicions. She wished to blame Voldemort for this mess, but she couldn't think of a reasonable motive for him to mix up two different universes into another dimension. He was now facing two Harry's although she didn't think the alternate one was much of a threat. In fact, all those alternate universe people seemed a bit odd.
Despite this, it wasn't long before Hermione finally gave up. It was beginning to get late and she had missed dinner. She waved her wand, watching as the books floated back to their correct places. She wished the librarian a goodnight before heading back to the Gryffindor common room. Hopefully, Harry would be there so she could talk to him. Hopefully, she could pick his brain to see what he thought of this mess. Maybe Ron would be there as well and they could discuss it quietly. The common room could be luckily empty and all three could ponder the different reasons behind this. However, she thought it would be best if Harry was involved in this discussion, seeing as he was having serious mood swings lately. Hermione clearly stated the password to their common room before climbing through the hall. She noticed the fire lit and hoped that both boys were still up. However, it was just Ron. Now, there was no disappointment to this, but with everything going on, she didn't have much time to ponder about him for too long. She tried to keep her priorities straightened out. "Couldn't sleep?"" she asked him as she made her way across the room to join him by the fire. It was getting late and she assumed Harry was in bed. She noticed his wet clothes. "Honestly, Ronald. You're going to catch a cold," she huffed with concern. She pulled out her ward, muttering the incantation for the drying charm, and gave her wand a quick flick. It explained why the fire was lit, but the charm acted much quicker.

He hoped it was Harry. But alas he was wrong, he heard a female voice speak to him, and not just any female.Ron didn't realize that was in fact her voice.. Bloody Hell!He though, his eyes didn't move,he just swallowed and tried not to look nervous. His cheeks flushed as he looked up to her and gave her a soft smile. his eyes gazed into the fire."Hello,Hermione..."he said as his eyes gazed into the fire."Couldn't sleep?"she asked him as she was coming to sit closer to him.He sighed and looked at her from the corner of his eye only for a second before looking again at the fire.Sleeping wasn't really at his schedule"I was at the Quidditch pitch..."he replied without looking at her,at least trying to not look at her.Quidditch was a complete disaster and he was seriously thinking to quit.Quiting was the best solution in his mind because he couldn't lie to himself. He was horrible! He was a horrible, pitiful keeper. He wanted so much to be at the team.Hermione was one of the reasons he wanted that.If he was a good player she would liked him more right? No?Well, lately he was doubting for that also she seemed more annoyed when they talked about Quidditch than ever before."I'll quit."he muttered with his head down.He thought that it would be better if he didn't continue talking about that subject knowing that Quidditch irritated her.
It wasn't long before she noticed his wet clothes "Honestly, Ronald. You're going to catch a cold," she said " 'Mione you really don't have to..."he muttered under his breath but it was too late to change her mind, she had already pulled her wand out.His nerves reacted quite strange as she muttered the drying spell. There was not a particular reason why,it was just a reaction."So,where have you been?"he asked her quite curiously. He had decided that now he could look at her once again hoping that all those thoughts won't pop again inside his mind."I mean, any news about that diffrent dimensions..thing?"he continued. He knew that she would be searching about the different dimensions thing they were living. At least that is what she usually did, searching for the answers to their problems. And that problem seemed like a rather big one.He looked back inside the fire as the flames were playing with each other hapilly. He smiled to himself briefly and then closed his eyes for a second, took a deep breath, hold it for a second and then he released the air from his lungs. The warmth of the fire was so pleasant, almost pleasant enough to make his forget of his problems, something that actually seemed impossible right now.He was trying to remember what his father had told him about the different dimension.
He was still a little kid when his father had mentioned it.He had said something about the Ministry and that they keep messing around with dimensions but he'd never thought about it seriously.Maybe all this madness was the Ministry's fault?Who else could have possible think something like that?It was insane and stupid.You-Know-Who?He couldn't honestly believe that he would get Harry with something like that! So,not him.But who else than them? It's unbelievable. They were living in a world where there were two versions of themselves! How could that be possible? And their versions seemed so bloody odd. This alternative version of himself seemed really weird,Hermione's seemed more nerdy and know-it-all than she would ever get the chance to be and Harry's?Well,he didn't seemed all that brave and he was not like Harry..at all.Sometimes he just wished that he was dreaming and that he would wake up and return back to the word that there was only one version of..themselves.It was crazy! There were so many things that had changed and were diffrent. And also how they were dragged a this diffrent dimension? It didn't seem right. It's bloody unbelievable.

Some say I'll be better without you
But they don't know you like I do
Hermione didn't notice his cheeks flushed, but only assumed it was the warmth of the fire. She took a seat by him, peering into the fire with him while he explained his current whereabouts. Hermione had never been interested in Quidditch, but she tried to put up with as much as possible. She did enjoy watching it though it was mainly to cheer on Harry and now Ron. However, she didn't like flying for the simple fact that she believed she had no control up there. She preferred to have her feet on the ground as much as possible. Sometimes, she didn't exactly get that wish. For example, back in her third year, she was forced to ride on the back of Buckbeak while saving Sirius Black. She hadn't found that thrilling or exhilarating at all. It was more like terrifying to better describe the whole situation. Anyways, she had found herself irritated by the boys' constant talk of Quidditch lately. With both her best friends on the team, they seemed to rather talk about practices and such instead of focusing on their studies. Plus, she found it distracting while she was trying to work. However, no matter how much she didn't like the sport, she knew that both enjoyed playing it. She wouldn't let Ron quit. "No," she said firmly but hoping it wasn't too firm. "You just need to believe in yourself. You were obviously good enough to make the team. I thought you looked good up there." Her cheeks flushed pink at this last comment as she tried to instill faith back in him. However, she turned her attention back to the fire, ignoring the tiny butterflies in her stomach. There was no need for them.
After seeing the effects of her drying charm complete, Hermione tucked her wand away, completely ignoring Ron's mutterings. She had already finished and he couldn't stop her. She had her mind set on it. She couldn't understand why he felt that it was a brilliant idea to play Quidditch out in the rain. He could easily catch a cold and some other flu bug that could put a hitch in their plans. They were still required to attend classes as if everything was still normal. It gave less time to research, but thankfully, today was a weekend although the rainy weather had definitely put a damper on everyone's mood. Taking in his appearance, Hermione was glad to see that he was dry. "Honestly, why did you think it was a brilliant idea to practice in this type of weather? Although I understand you want the practice, you can seriously catch a cold," she lectured, concern flooding her eyes. "Plus, it could be dangerous. What if the weather is being affected by dementors? Harry was just attacked by two this summer and despite being in a whole other dimension, they can still be out there. Who knows how safe we actually are?"
Hermione's chocolate brown eyes turned to Ron. "Library," she answered, trying to refrain from adding obviously to the end of it. She had spent her day researching instead of focusing on other activities. She didn't mind too much when she didn't get much help from the boys. She was the brains behind them and she knew the library much better than they did. She sighed though, knowing that she hadn't found anything. "No, I couldn't find anything on dimensions. I'm going to go back tomorrow to keep looking." There was no way she could hide the disappointment in her voice. The more she pondered, the more she felt confused and somewhat lost. "What do you think about this whole ordeal, Ron? It's a bit odd, don't you think?" Personally Hermione had never come across anything of this ever occurring during her readings in the past. She didn't even know where to exactly start looking.

He didn't expect her to react like that to the 'not so new' statement of him quitting. He knew that Hermione was always there to support him and Harry but she was always annoyed by that specific subject.Maybe it was because they were talking way too much about Quidditch those days.He sightly smiled at her.Maybe he shouldn't quit, maybe she was right. But then his thoughts got a bit darker. He thought of the mocking that would follow his pitiful performances at the pitch.Mostly what the Slytherins would make up again to make him feel completely useless. Not that he should pay attention to what they thought but it just happened. It wasn't long until her words twisted in his head, what if she was just feeling pity for him?His anger started boiling inside him,he could feel his ears becoming slowly red.He opened his mouth to say something but then he closed it once again. There was something she said and made all the anger go away. What did she just said?He instantly looked at her,her cheeks had turned pink.He couldn't help but slightly smile. He quickly looked away,he had blushed too "Thanks."he said, trying not to look at her.The last thing he needed was her to notice his blushing.
There wasn't long enough until she was again lecturing him.Ron hated that with all his heart. When she was telling him what he should or shouldn't do drove him mad."Oh,come on Hermione!I am fine."he said quite tired of her monologue. He knew that she was concerned of his health mostly because he would lose many classes and she and Harry would have to take notes for him but he really couldn't understand why she was doing all this lecture thing.Sometimes she seriously reminded him of his mother.Only the mention of the Dementors was enough for him to get chills all over his body. This creatures were the worse thing ever existed. He would never forget his third year when they were guarding the castle from Sirius, who was completely innocent. When those things were there the castle was colder than ever and Ron felt so weird. He felt like he would never be happy again, like they were sucking all the optimistic ness and happiness they had inside them. And Harry had a pretty bad time with them back then. And then there was this attack that she had mentioned, when during the summer Harry was attacked by two of them and got himself into serious trouble.Sometimes he wished that this different dimension would lack of them at least, but maybe it didn't."Maybe you're just overreacting,Hermione.."he said with a small yawn "It is just a rain."he added and shook his head.Because of what was happening to them lately, they weren't sure about anything anymore. He couldn't think straight anymore. It was like he didn't know what to except. So,he wasn't sure if it was raining because there were dementors out there or not.He just hoped that there was nothing out there. They had already enough problems to deal with.
"Of course.."he muttered under his breath. If you ever needed to find Hermione Granger the Library should be the first place that you should look for her.He was slightly disappointed when she said that there wasn't anything about different dimensions at the library.Somehow,he hoped that she would had found something that would help them. She always did.It seemed that this was one of the few times that the library had actually disappointed her."Of course you will.."he commented with a smirk. She seemed so disappointed even if it seemed like she was trying to hide it he could hear it at her voice. He hoped that he could something to cheer her up but he was starting doubting his own abilities. He could always make people laugh but things didn't felt the same here, now at this different dimension. He hoped he had still that ability but who knew? This might had also changed.Suddenly he found himself staring at her.Oh come on Ron! Snap out of it!"Yeah, pretty odd.."he commented. So bloody odd."Oh!I've forgot to tell you!"he exclaimed. He wanted to tell her about what he had remembered that his dad had said.It might help her at her search for more clues."When I was seven,I think, dad had mentioned those bloody dimensions once.."he said and cleared his throat before he continued "He had said that the Ministry was pretty much messing around with them..."he added and turned at her to see her reaction."You know..he said that they were trying to communicate with all those alternative universes or something.."he explained. He could clearly remember his dad saying that they were experimenting at the Department of Mysteries and that they were looking for something."Weird, huh?"he was pretty sure that she would find it pretty interesting.Maybe there was the answer to their problem...maybe not.
