Title: Selrach
Description: Dwin's habitable moon

Prof. Landori - July 5, 2009 02:44 PM (GMT)
Selrach was once a part of Dwin, but due to a nieghbouring star going nova it was blasted off. However the procceses which has started making life on Dwin also created life on Selrach. It too is inhabited by Darians who did not want to be part of the Alliance, and is part of Dwin's territory. The climate and life on Selrach is near Identical to that of Dwin, and it is a popular holiday destination.

Prof. Landori waited patiently by the small Institue landing strip on Selrach. The DSRI had a small branch here, but it was realy just a small university and musium, anything major was done on Dwin.

(That red arrow has me loling every time XD)

Prof. Landori - July 5, 2009 10:43 PM (GMT)
(Well I had to point it out some how... but yeh it is funny)

Designation: Rogue - July 8, 2009 06:31 PM (GMT)
As the ship touched down at the landing pad, Rogue jumped awake. She was having such a wonderful dream.
"Time to see this doctor. Eva, disengage safety straps."

As the harness came undone, Rogue stood and gathered her gear.

I got a bad feeling about this, ol' girl. She thought as she stood in front of the side hatch.

Prof. Landori - July 11, 2009 10:37 AM (GMT)
Prof. Landori waved once he could see her face. 'Hello Rogue, I trust you had a pleasant trip.' he paused, unsure of what to say 'I have a secure base, filled with equipment, I belive it best to speak there.'

Designation: Rogue - July 18, 2009 09:02 PM (GMT)
She nodded and stepped to follow the doctor. She had no idea what was going to happen, but she was hoping she was prepared.

As they reached the facility she asked the doctor, "So what did you want me here for, doc?"

Prof. Landori - July 19, 2009 08:58 PM (GMT)
'I thought it would be best to meet you in person, and to give you anything you need.' he explained nervously as he pressed his palm against a pannel, opening up a previously undettectable doorway.

'The early settlers of Dwin and Selrach were fearful of being at war and had hidden fortresses built. Very few know about them' he said, explaining the hidden door.

'Rogue, there is very little I may tell you. But I wish I could'
(if Rogue were to read his mind she would see a ship larger than a sun, brief snippits of speach and an overwhelming sence of horror - but it would be garbled, his mental deffences were strong and his mind was just able to deal with the thought anyway)
'I can tell you that I may not destroy Zeria, but yet, I must lead to its destruction. So I have brought you to be the hand that carries out that task. I may give you any tech you ask for, and any information I have then it is up to you and others I find to destroy Zeria.'

Designation: Rogue - July 23, 2009 08:01 PM (GMT)
"I need a new suit. A stronger one. A more powerful arsenal. And..." She didn't know how to say it...

"Control over The Weapon. To either have it apart of me...or not at all. You'll need to go into each of my enhancement implants (tried to not make it sound like breast augemntation. oh well) and tinker with that. While you're in there, enhance the enhancements. My pay are these upgrades. Your pay is me destroying Zeria. Or as much of it as I can before I'm stopped."

Rogue cares for nothing now. Her emotions had become null. She would kill soldier, man, woman, and child. Whatever stood in her way. She was to become a Peacemaker.

Prof. Landori - September 3, 2009 02:51 AM (GMT)
'Very well. I will organise a small group of trusted scientists to help. This must be kept quiet. And... If you wish us to alter your mental phisiology to control this... weapon' (his information on it was scetchy, drawn from a few psycic recordings from the drones and some hacking into securety systems)
'It will reequire you to be here some time. I shall organise a room for you.'

Designation: Rogue - September 15, 2009 06:23 AM (GMT)
"Of course, good Doctor." Rogue replied with a nod and stood next to the doctor with her hands folded behind her back, awaiting his direction.

"Doctor, I have been thinking. Would it be overly difficult to obtain a extraordinary amount of power for...say an arm cannon? Preferably nearly infinite if possible. When in battle against a thousand men, one simply cannot spare the moment to hear one's weapon run out of ammo, wouldn't you agree, sir?

Her emerald green eyes bore into the Doctor, and whether he made contact or not, the fierce gaze of the GHOST would send a chill up one's back.

"Of course, I simply could not exhaust resources like that...and then my devil's advocate would respond with 'Shall we succeed, Zeria and its territories will hold more resources. Much more.' How does, say, 500 gigajules sound to you?"

Prof. Landori - September 15, 2009 09:31 PM (GMT)
Her stare froze him for a second before he replied 'Your in luck. A new doctor at the institute recently did extensive reserch into Bionic appendages... tell me to what extent can you maipulate mana?'

Designation: Rogue - September 15, 2009 11:16 PM (GMT)
"Mana? No idea. Telethesis though.." Within the room, many objects lifted and began to move in a small orbit around them. She set them back in their respective places and the doctor would feel himself lifted by an unseen force next to her and she began to walk, collecting knowledge from the vast recesses of the doctor's learned mind. Focusing, she gathered info of the interior of the institute and walked toward the doctor's office with him floating next to her.

"So. About this mana. What is it?" She gently set him down to walk with her and stopped, allowing him to gather his thought.

Prof. Landori - September 16, 2009 07:18 PM (GMT)
'The mana weave is a field of extrauniversal energy. That is to say that the energy comes from out side our universe on a different deimentional plane. Because of this it doesn't follow the rules of our universe. The mana enters our universe in small amounts through reality fault lines call quantum dimentional strings, these 'strings' make up the 'weave'.
The mana is affected by electrical signals in certain minds, or carefully build electrical devices. The telekinesis you exhibited is a result of a very special and indeirect use of mana. You posses the power to read minds through the manipulation and transmition of electrical signals in the minds of other people. You use mana to act a conductor for these signals. Strong enough signals carried through mana can produce gravity wells which allow you to move objects like you did...'
Landeori stopped realising he had just given a lecture on mana manipulation. 'Sorry I can babble on a bit... the point is that your abbility to control mana affects just how much energy you can use in your suit. Mana is much more efficient and substantialy safer than Cryoistalaic fusion, the only other sensible option for this sort of bionics...
I think it would be best to give you some training in to mana manipulation, not for combat nessesarily, but for poweering non-essential systems.'

Designation: Rogue - September 16, 2009 07:27 PM (GMT)
"I see. So, let's begin. I'm ready and waiting for the training, sir." Rogue looked at him for a moment. "And the babbling is fine. I can convert your nonsensicle scientific babble into layman's terms. Essentially you want me to train in energy manipulation to aid in powering the suit."

"So, lead the way, doctor. I'm ready for the training."

Prof. Landori - September 16, 2009 09:16 PM (GMT)
'Very well. But first we will need to conduct some tests on you to design the armour and implants, as well as to gauge your mana capacity. Pushing your limmets might just cause you to feint but it the mechanical parts we implant are pushed to hard they can shut down and that could be fatal. But don't worry the bionics will have addaptive nano cells, they sould be able to hold you together if things get bad.'

As he finnished a young woman in a lab coat walked in 'Professor Landori we're ready for the tests now' The woman was clearly nervous and she tried to avoid eye ceontact with ROGUE by staring intently at the floor.
'Thank you... uh... Isanni was it?'
'Um Isenni actualy Sir' replied the girl taking the opportunity to take a quick glance at ROGUE before running off.
'Poor girl, she just started her career and she had to go through this...' Landori looked back at ROGUE 'Well should we go?'

Designation: Rogue - September 17, 2009 05:45 AM (GMT)
"Yes, doctor." She said, smiling and watching the new scientists walk away. Great. Noobies.

Prof. Landori - September 18, 2009 11:18 PM (GMT)
ROGUE was lead to a room with about 10 doctors of various ages but all female. 'Here is where I leave you for now' said the Professor (blushing slightly) turned quickly and left.
One of the doctors walked up to her, 'Hello ROGUE' she said in a calm voice 'The tests will require you to be undressed and have these sensors attached to your body' she gestured towards some small metalic blue patches. 'That is why we are an all femal team here. If you would just get undressed we will begin.'

Designation: Rogue - September 20, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
Making her way to a corner as all the bolts and screws in her armor whirred and spun loose, she telekinetically removed the armor piece by piece and unzipped her microfiber bodysuit. She made her way back to the doctors and stood stark naked in front of them. She waited patiently as they began attaching sensors.

"What are these for, doctor?"

Prof. Landori - September 21, 2009 09:34 PM (GMT)
'We want to conduct tests as to how your body reacts to various conditions, such as physicaly demading situations, stress and tiredness aswell as measuring the nerve impuses you send. The more we know about your body the better we can build the suit and bionics for your body.'

The doctor guided ROGUE to a machine which looked more or less like a glorified treadmill. 'Right first you have to run on this device, it generates a field which gradualy increaces the streangth of gravity around you and thins the oxygen supply. Remember the idea is to test your realistic limets, so tell us to stop when you think you would stop in a combat situation.'

Designation: Rogue - September 22, 2009 06:01 AM (GMT)
"Sounds good to me. Fire it up, doc." she said. As the machine began to move, she matched with a brisk walk, moving toward a steady run. Finally reaching to combat-realistic sprinting. Her current enhancements kept her body moving, her breathing steady and her heartrate within reasonable limits for a good time. About an hour until she began to breathe a little heavier and her heart sped up a bit more to match the bloodflow to her muscles.

"This is too easy." She said at a dead run.
---
---
Another hour at this dead run, she had begun to pant slightly.
"Alright. In battle when I begin to pant or if I'm under fire, I take cover to rest and protect myself. Stop it." And the machine stopped. She stepped off, breathing yet she had not even broken a sweat. Though she was Alterran, she still had her limits.

Prof. Landori - September 24, 2009 12:35 AM (GMT)
'Most impressive' said the doctor.
After resting they would procced through a range of tests not much more interesting than the last.
'Only one more ROGUE.'
The doctor lead her to a large white room with stange spheres poking out of the walls. 'This test will not only test physical agility but also your reaction and cerebral processing speed. Please step into the middle of the room and await further instructions.'
The doctor then left the room closing the door behind her.

Designation: Rogue - September 24, 2009 08:09 AM (GMT)
Rogue cautiously made her way to the center of the room, keeping an eye out for...anything out of the ordinary. She had no idea what was going to happen, but was confident she'd succeed. Not many could go toe-to-toe with a GHOST and survive. She reached the center of the room and turned in a slow 360 degree turn, watching the walls and ceiling and even the floor itself. She expected. She anticipated. Improvised, adapted. And she would overcome.

Prof. Landori - September 24, 2009 05:48 PM (GMT)
'ROGUE.' the doctors voice was projected by some hidden device 'Soon the spheres you see on the walls will fire Low voltage Electro plasma or LEP beems at you. The aim is to avoid them. Should thay hit you the electrical signal in the beem with parralise the muscles it hits. It is designed so that it can't harm you in any perminant way. You may continue trying to avoid beems even if you have been hit, and even if you have been hit the parralisis can be overcome although it is extreemly painful. We will stop when you can no longer move.' This test would not only test agility and thinking time, but resistance to pain and stubbornness, but knowing that would possibly change the out come.
'If you wish me to repeat the instructions or if you do not wish to do this please speak now.'

Designation: Rogue - September 25, 2009 05:06 AM (GMT)
"Fire it up, doc." She said and her alertness level increased drastically, assuredly sending the sensors tripping violently as they measured her heartrate and adrenaline levels.

As her body pumped mass amounts of adrenaline into her, the synthetic "Slo-Mo" effect kicked in as several spheres took off from the wall. She dove and an LEP hit where she had just been standing. Rolling and running, she dashed up a wall, beams slamming into the tiles behind her feet. Reaching the peak, she flipped and turned; slamming her rock-hard fist into one sphere and knocking it to the ground in a heap. In a moment, she picked it up and turned, coming face-to-lens with one of the spheres. It fired just as she bent back and avoided another beam. Firing the broken sphere's LEP at the sphere that had encountered her face, it fell to the floor, stunned. Throwing the second sphere at the other, she faced the sphere which hovered back and forth in front of the window. Inside, the doctors would catch a glimpse of Rogue's fierce green eyes and the lights inside the chamber gleaned off her skin. The sphere fired just as she did and the beam short circuited the opponent just as the beam it fired slammed into her shoulder, numbing it from there down the whole arm.

The sphere she held dropped as she grunted in pain. Then three more arrived. The adrenaline seemed to dull her pain as she used her other arm to hoist the broken sphere and she moved to the one she had just shorted. FIring the Sphere's last battery charge at one, she threw the used ball at the second. Both fell in a heap. Diving, she avoided a near-hit to the leg. Hovering as the sphere targeted her again, she reared back her right leg and punted the first sphere she had shot directly at the last...and the two exploded in shrapnel and bolts then fell. She turned to face the doctors, eyes blazing.

"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT FOR ME!? GIVE ME A CHALLENGE NEXT TIME!" And her eyes returned to the cool gaze.

Just then one sphere she had not noticed in the battle ejected from the wall and slammed into the back of her head, knocking her to the floor. She arose slowly, and the sphere fired at her head. She cocked it to one side and the beam missed. Lifting her face, her eyes now blazed forth a fiery red. Shouting her defiance, she delivered a massive blow with a destructive psionic wave of pure power. The sphere slammed into the tiled wall, cracked and leaving a small crater, falling, and exploding. The Weapon faced the doctors inside the control room.

Inside the control room, the doctors would be startled by the shattering of the window by a wave obviously not meant to harm anyone in any way. But meant as a challenge.

Prof. Landori - September 25, 2009 03:36 PM (GMT)
(umm actualy the spheres were attached to the wall but never mind that was alot cooler... but for this test let me reply - think battle)

The sphere shards liquified, and propelled by some auto motive function they reasembeled. 'The beauty of liquid space, a unique enginering method. A shame it can't be used for space ships (well manned ones anyway). The psyonic pulse was impressive ROGUE but try to refrain from doing that it tampers with the sensors and defies the aim of the exprement.'
Behind her some of the sensors were giving off strange readings.
'OK then, want a challenge, that was the first round now that you know how this works things will get harder. You ready?'

Designation: Rogue - September 25, 2009 05:24 PM (GMT)
R-001 grunted primally and picked up the two spheres that had not exploded and stood in the center of the room and stretched her muscles. Her battle mode was running smoothly, but the lack of psinoics would definitely be a bit more of a challenge. It was, after all, her specialty.

Psionics such as her were an anomoly on Altera. Of the four in her lab, she was by far the most psychologically adept in the use of psionics and could very possible turn every single doctor inside the lab she was being built in to a bloody, mulchy slop from within her coma. But then who would she have to play with?

The Weapon bounced in places on her toes like a pugalist and raised her crude armaments. The stripped GHOST was ready to play.

Inside the control room, the doctors would hear a gruff metallic voice over the microphone. As though spoken by an android. "Fire this fucker up."

Prof. Landori - September 25, 2009 11:01 PM (GMT)
Two orbs fired sweeeping beems in oposite directions like a pair of scissors, meanwhile another would possition itsekf and shoot her down the middle once the scissor manouver limmited her movements.

Inside the lab some doctors were begining to note unusual physiological changes on theeir monitors...

Designation: Rogue - September 26, 2009 03:21 AM (GMT)
R-001, upon seeing the laser pattern, fired one of the LEP beams at one of the side-sweeping lasers and threw the useless one with all her super-soldier's might at the other side-sweeper, which would cause it to crush and the two explode. As the middle laser made it's course downward, she simply sidestepped and made her way towards it, timing it just right to throw a vicious bare-fisted punch to the power core within it to rip it from the casing.

"This isn't it, is it?" she ask gruffly.

Prof. Landori - September 26, 2009 11:09 PM (GMT)
Instead of crushing and exploding they simply liquified glooped together and split into two again. Her punch would lead her to discover no power core, it's not how liquid space works, and that as she punched it it liquified the reverberating LEP beams inside the liquid would have a simmilar effect to beeing hit by the beam and now her arm was partialy parralized. Other orbs had now reconstructed and now surounded her.

Designation: Rogue - September 26, 2009 11:16 PM (GMT)
R-001 experienced the shock of pain through her arm and grunted. Turning, she saw each orb. This would be a challenge. As they began to fire, she ducked, dove, rolled, and ran. Approaching the first, her brain clicked...don't damage them while touching them. She ran up the wall and flipped backward as a beam fired over her. Holding her numb arm, she landed in top of the orb. One orb fired at her and she jumped to the next orb, pushing the first down hard. If the orb did not fall to the ground, it would be blasted by the other orbs.

This continued until the last orb stood. She looked up at it from the floor and dodged the laser that was fired, ran up the wall and grabbed the support rod, flipped up onto the top of the orb and kicked her powerful legs downward, which would throw the orb to the ground. Having done that, she kicked herself off the wall and landed in the center of the room away from the paralyzing goo.

Prof. Landori - September 26, 2009 11:30 PM (GMT)
Those orbs that hit each other will beams did not dammage each other instead the beams reflected off them (untill ROGUE kicked their ass). The goo began to float, it slow ly formed a colection of liquid blobs floating in the room. Any contact would cause parralisis. A small deispenceer oppened and launched some orbs. Most started fireing but some tried to ram her into the floating blobs. If she attacked one she would find that the force required to liquify one would decreace every time.

Designation: Rogue - September 26, 2009 11:42 PM (GMT)
As the orbs flew at her and shot at her, she weaved in and out of the spheres. One orb got lucky though, slamming into her good arm and liquifying. Instantly her arm was paralyzed. This...is not good. She ran to one wall and leaned against it. Fuck the sensors Several orbs began their ramming speed and two shot their paralyzing beams. "FUCK THE SENSORS!" With a powerful blast, her mind exploded, which would throw each orb, beam, and goo trap to the walls respectively.

Expending this much mental energy exhausted the GHOST and she fell to the ground, breathing heavily and on the verge of passing out. The spike in the sensors, due to her psychological bomb, shot through the roof then below the line, indicating her severely weakened state. She crawled toward the window of the control room; her arms having gained some of their strength back, lifted her glowing green eyes and said, "Bring me a real fight..." in true soldier's spirit. Slowly, she attempted to make her way to her feet, falling to one knee and panting...then rising to her full height, though staggering.

Prof. Landori - September 27, 2009 01:43 AM (GMT)
-no I meant liquify, if they liquify and you touch them they stun you, so all those you hit would paralise you- feel free to rewrite your last post.

Designation: Rogue - September 27, 2009 05:41 AM (GMT)
(This post is to grab your attention, Doc. It'll be changed when you PM me. I check everyday.)

Prof. Landori - September 27, 2009 04:20 PM (GMT)
'ROGUE, how can we test your phisical limmits if you use psyonics?'
An other sceientist came and wispered something into the doctor's ear. The doctor froze turned to the scientist 'Call Landori.'
The turning back to the mike she asked 'ROGUE is that still you?'

Designation: Rogue - September 28, 2009 06:38 PM (GMT)
Rogue had been looking at the destruction in the room around her. She looked up at the shattered window.
"Sorry, guys. I broke your toys. I will buy you new ones and we can play together." Delerious from the mental wear, she giggled childishly and fell back. Lying on the tile, she panted.
"I'm gunna...nap...take a nap...now..." And she passed out.

The sensors would moniter her heartbeat as though she were near death. This state was often referred to as "Opossum" by the USSG scientists because should anyone wish to check an exhausted GHOST's lifesigns, they'd find they were cold to the touch and their hearts seemingly didn't beat. The breathing was shallow and faint. There, Rogue slept until her mind had rebooted and fixed itself.

Prof. Landori - September 30, 2009 04:10 PM (GMT)
The group of scientists ran in and quickly dressed her in what looked like a tinfoil spandex suit. It was infact an advanced temperature control suit, after that much phisical exertion it is important not to let the body cool to much.

They moved her to her designated room in the compex. It was actualy quite big for just one person, and it was clear that everything had been done to make it as comfortable as possible. The walls were painted beige with a vine with leaves running across it at about hip hight. There were a veriety of exercise and entertainment devices, as well as a virtual library and an array of colourful and exotic plants.

The room was not watched, per say, but there were a few monitors on the walls that measured her body temperature, heart rate, brain activity and the mana weive around her.

One of the entertainment devices was an Indao board (a 3 dimentional board game invented by the settlers of Dwin, where the aim is to capture all your opponents figures by having more of yours adjacent to one of your opponents than he does - the allure of the game is that one can win in a single move if one arranges his pieces properly, it is a game where, unless you have already won, victory is NEVER assured.) Sitting at the board was Hizen Landori, he had been sitting there for an hour playing against himself and awaiting ROGUE's recovery.

Designation: Rogue - October 1, 2009 09:42 AM (GMT)
Rogue groaned in her sleep and stirred. Opening her eyes she growled and groaned loudly. Her headache was one of legend. As she rubbed her skull she slowly sat up to watch the old man amuse himself with the game.

"What happened? What's that thing, doc?"

Prof. Landori - October 1, 2009 05:03 PM (GMT)
Landori looked up at her with a faint hint of relief. 'This? It's an Indao board. The original settlers or Dwin invented it. I could teach you to play, the others are hessitant to continue right after you collapsed like that. But there's more, we belive that you activated the weapon. We weren't sure how to react so for now we want you to rest. Of corse we wont be wasting time, you will have lessons on manipulating mana from a thaumtologist, that's someone who studdies magic not the mana wieve itself.'
