When I was thinking about how I might consider dealing with the Rebels current situation if I were the general manager I simply came to one conclusion and it involved one not so good but not too terribly awful movie I saw not too long ago. The movie is called Australia :P where a bunch of misfits prevail when they come together and they drive 'dem bit fat cheeky bulls all the way across the Kimberly to the big stupid metal ship. I think the same premise applies here in terms of the Rebels.

Player-wise they seem to have enough skill to be on of the better teams in the GFA. Obviously picking Kris Johnson of all people as your starting halfback has to hurt anyone's chances considering you can only trust him for a proportional amount of time that has some correlation to the length of time his previous sim league lasted and his urge to make a new one that is even more destined to fail. No team in the GFA is going to be able to win on a consistent basis if all they can count on their halfback for is a lousy 1.7ypc. Sorry but that is the raw truth and I think everyone in the Rebels organization is aware of that fact so they are bringing out DeSaberon Andathia which is a smart move. Having Eggleston in the gun is always a plus and will prove to be a godsend down the road for them. Their wideout spread and tight ends are all the type of guys that in a few short seasons will be good players but their defense is so utterly invisible you can't really blame all the woes on the offense.

Again, as a general manager stuck in this situation I would have to consult my playbook knowledge first of all. Obviously whatever they are using isn't working for what they have and it's not like they don't have anything to work with (as explained above). The season isn't over yet and with the Pirates offensive sinking further and further into nothingness with the inactivity of Tom Manning, it isn't completely wrong to think that the Rebels could pass both the Pirates and Freedom before the end of the season. In order to do that they will have to start working right now to correct the problems. The number one thing to remember for Dahobo at this point I think is that having a bad relationship in the locker room doesn't effect how your guys play on the Madden field (unless you quit updating but then you are hurting both yourself and the dismal team you are on who is likely not to trade you or release you simply for spite) so quit whining about the locker room. Find some decent playbooks that utilize the offense that you drafted, find a playbook that makes the defense do something/anything and I guarantee that once this team starts winning the bitching in the locker room and on the forum ceases almost immediately (less the people who just know no better). Number two if life sucks that much then do what the creme's and aboriginee's in Australia do and go on a walk-about. It works for them and it worked for that couple in that tourist commercial for Australia where they go on a walk-about and re-kindle their marriage so I'm sure it can work for you. Lets go walk-about.
