Manors & Mansions Only pure-blood or extremely wealthy families would be able to afford a manor or a mansion in Wizarding Britain. Many of these buildings date back to c. 1600; some are rumored to be old castles or châteaux. Examples include the Malfoy, or Lestrange manor.
