As far as Damon knew, that was just another normal morning in Mystic Falls. It had been over an hour since he had woken up and nothing different had happened yet. That morning seemed promising. Maybe he would finally have once peaceful day.
Though having one morning that wasn't filled with chaos was quite good and enjoyable, it was also rather boring. He had really gotten used to the rush of having plans to come up with, Originals to kill and people to keep safe, and as he found himself in no hurry and under no stress, he really didn't really know what to do. With a sigh, he wondered what were his entertainment possibilities. It was too early for him to head to the Grill, and too early for him to consider calling anyone. But as that thought popped into his mind, he realized that he he knew someone who was usually an early riser. Elena. Normally, she wouldn't have been his first option, not when he was trying to enjoy some peace. Sure, he loved Elena and wanted to spend time with her, but he knew from experience that spending time with her hardly ever led to a peaceful day. But he had nothing to do, and Elena was the only one he could think of calling. He'd rather have a fight with her than endure that boredom for much longer. Not wanting to end up rethinking his decision, Damon grabbed his cellphone and texted Elena. "You awake yet?" |

For all that had been going on in Mystic Falls, you would think that Elena Gilbert would be the one to snuggle in and sleep late on the one day that her cell didn't ring or she wasn't being woke up to some problem. Only that wasn't the case for this morning. Elena had been up since six am. She had showered, gotten something to eat and was dressed in jeans and a top. After having slipped her sneakers on, she wondered what there was to do. Alaric was somewhere, hopefully having a good sleep and not kiling someone in his alter ego. Bonnie was probably sleep or dealing with things since her mothers changing. And Caroline? Oh with out a doubt she had to be sleeping. That woman, even as a vampire enjoyed her comforts of her bedroom. She would send a text to them later. Perhaps they could meet up and get something to at the Grille. Options. There were many for Elena. Some savorable and some..less than favorable.
She had sent a text, even tried to call Stefan, but again, there was no answer. She didn't even want to think of where he was or what he was doing. So much had changed between them in the past several months. The ripper Stefan and the man fighting his own inner demons was something beyond her most wildest dreams. Of course, she knew that vampires had a thing, that internal need for blood and whatnot, but why the man she had loved? She only wanted Stefan. His love and them two to be happy. It wasn't so much to ask was it? Then again, in Mystic Falls, alot was impossible and far from normal. Elena grabbed her keys and her cell and figured she'd try the boarding house. One of the two brothers would be home. She oculd use a good intense talk with Damon. Being in love with two men and both knowing that she was, made her life all the more difficult. She had just pulled up outside the boarding house a little after 8 am. All seemed quiet with the first glance that she took around and to the vast house. At least she didn't feel that she'd be walking into something or walking into someone having a private party of sorts. That in itself was a good sign. Elena had just gotten out of the car and headed towards the door when her cell went off. She pulled it out of her pocket and looked to the screen. It was a text from Damon. Her lips curled up into a small smile as she read his text wondering if she was awake. That saved her asking that very question herself. When she got up to the door of the boarding house, she paused to send him a response. " I am outside your house right now." She sent the message and brought her hand up ot the door to open it. Quietly she pushed it open and stepped inside. She took off her jacket and set it ot the side and looked up the stairs. "Damon?" |

As his cellphone vibrated warning him that he had a new message, Damon smiled. Either he had woken Elena up by sending her a message or she was already awake. In both cases, he got to spend some time with her, and that was what he was going for.
But before he could even pick it up, the Boarding House's door opened. Elena, he guessed, and his guess was confirmed as he heard her calling him. That hadn't given him as much time to prepare for the drama that was sure to develop as he had wanted it to, but he was fine with that. He'd take drama over boredom any time. "Up here!" He shouted, getting up from his bed, which was where he had been sitting. OOC: Sorry it's short, but I didn't have a lot of time. |

Leaving her jacket where she set it, she turned fully to face the stairs and climbed up them. As she topped the last stairs and stood on the second floor, she glanced towards Stefans room. She missed him. For times in the past, she would of never paused where she was and would of just gone directly to his room. So much had changed though.t believe it was all the way it was now. She did wonder where Stefan was even though he hadn't answered her and Damon had.
A sigh came from her as she begun to walk towards Damons room. She had to remindn herself not to let anything get her down today. Today was a new day. A great morning and one to being and do her best to keep it that way. Getting to Damons door, she opened it and stepped inside. Her eyes were immediately taken in with the sight of Damon rising up to stand. Elena left the door open behind her as she moved to Damon and offered him a smile. " I guess we were on the same thought pattern today,hm? Both of us being up this early and all." Elena sat down on his bed and looked upwards to Damon. " So what are we doing today?' |

A smile. That was a good way to begin their day together. Maybe drama could hold off for a while and just let them enjoy each other's company. Damon could hope. But deep down, he knew that as long as Elena also loved his brother, there would always be drama. The simplest and most innocent sentence could cause drama. "Think positive." A part of him told him, the part that clung to the thought that maybe they could have a nice day together. He would try.
"I couldn't sleep." He confessed. He'd woken up in the middle of the night, well, early morning, and he just couldn't seem to fall asleep again. All what was happening was finally catching up to him, and he didn't even know the worst thing. "Plans... Well, do you have anything you usually do in the mornings?" Damon asked her, trying to think of something they could do together. It was too early for them to do any of the things he'd thought of when she'd asked him. |
