Shadowfang rolled his eyes then gritted his teeth, he was a leader now he had to remember he was a leader now and not a warrior. That was two more greenhorns to take care of. Goldhatch was now old enough to receive her apprenticeship(sp?). "Goldhatch step up here with the greenhorn's please." Shadowfang said momentarily ignoring Talonscale.

Infernoscale silently snickered at Talonscale's tardiness and Shadowfang's reaction.

Goldhatch stepped up timidly between Infernoscale and Flowerscale her scales seemed to quiver with excitement.

"Goldhatch you are now old enough to receive your apprenticeship. Let all the dragons in this clearing be witness. Your new name shall now be Goldscale, your mentor will be Scorchingflames." Shadowfang was unsure yet of where Scorchingflames stood in the pack as he was still new but he had the same powers as Goldscale and thus was the only one who could teach her.

Goldscale's scales positively glowed with excitement as she received her warrior name. She looked around to see if she could spot her mentor.


Then Shadowfang turned to Talonscale and said with a stern face. "As for you. I will be your mentor so I can an eye on you." He said with a smile.

Infernoscale gasped with jealousy not only did Talonscale get Shadowfang as a mentor but he'd also get to train with Flowerscale.

The fiery red dragon grinned proudly and abniouxiously(sp?) he beamed, quite literally. His tail still flareing up as it always did. He had an ego alright. A very loud one. "Hoy Flower!" he said loudly, "I guess that means we're trainning-mates! Eh?" he zoomed over and beamed at her, then rose a little higher in the air. "Don't worry, I'll slow down for you, so you can catch up, you know..." He flashed another white-fanged smile across the vacinity, like some pompous pretty-boy who was claiming his name to fame for the first time.


Flowerscale forced a friendly smile on her maw as Talonscale contfronted her, but nontheless her thoughts were more annoyed at him then anything. And while he was gloating in his own pride she rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out. An unusal demenor from her usual calm kindness.

Sapphire Oceans flew into Cracked Ridge... She was a new member to the Firepack... She was a bit shy as she looked like a dragon from the Icepack and most Firepack dragons don't like white or blue dragons... She then landed gracefully on the ground, just beside a red dragon... She then growled a soft Hi! Then, she looked around to see that there were already lots of dragons who had arrvied already...

Dimmedheart gazed up at Shadowfang with sadness and happiness in his eyes. "How did she leave us, she was a great leader Piercedfang was, yes indeed." Dimmedheart looked at the dragon that just came in like him and whispered a soft "Hi", back. He was upset that Piercedfang was no longer leader, but Shadowfang would be a great leader as well.

The dragon looked up as his name was spoken, an apprentice? Him? He tilted his snake like head to the side. Blinking his big golden eyes a few times before accepting that Shadowfang hadn't maken a mistake. Goldenscale was almost impossible to miss, the excited little greenhorn that was a beautiful golden color. He slowly slithered foreward, long tail weaving in and out of the pack's other dragons as he made his way to the front. Hopefully Goldenscale wouldn't be too disappointed with having a half serpant for a mentor. Hopefully he would be able to teach her well enough, even though he only had two limbs. He gazed down in the two stubby little arms with rat-like claws on the ends. Iron like scales made them more difficult to get cut up than other dragons, but that was the only good part about them in Schorchingflames's eyes. He turned his gaze up to Shadowfang when he reached the front of the small crowd. He gave a slight nod of thanks, then headed up to Goldenscale. "Goldenscale," he said, somewhat softly, just to get her attention.

<sub>The shy Greenhorn watched everything unflod about him, until Talonscale popped in. He wasn't happy when he started flirting with Flowerscale, and in his rage, with scales turning brighter red then his nroaml color. "L-L-Leave her alone Talonscale!" He stammered out. "Y-you can s-see that she doesn't l-like you!" Yes, he liked her, but Firescale didn't realize it yet. He was what, only 200?

Skysong ignored the newcomers, instead focasing on Shadowfang. "If you want Shadowfang, I can take him. He doesn't look like he'd be to much to handle, and I can make him calm down quite easily." She cracked her neck mencinly, a clear warning for him to calm down, then looked to her appretnice. "Stop laughing." She growled softly, hitting him with her tail hard enough to bruise. "Unless you want to be doing wing-ups. It's not nic to laugh at other dragons." Well, he would learn she wasn't an easy mentor. Looking again to Shadowfang for an answer, she gave him a clear dismissal. He might want to sleep, though she hoped he would make sure she didn't have to turn around again, and that he would wait for Shadowfang to dismiss him first. She really expected to much out of these apprentices.</sub>

Talonscale turned his brilliant flame tail on low for a second, hovering slightly over Firescale's head, so that his eyes looked downward at him. "Well, maybe I can't because, maybe she doesn't? What do you think about that?" his voice held no concern or even anger in his voice. Simply the curious and annoying confindence that he seemed to hold all the time. Quickly forgetting his bout with Firescale, Talonscale turned to Skysong, an annoyed look on his maw, "Will you PLEASE stop talking about me as if I wasn't here!"

Flowerscale's eye's narrowed dangerously, though she was not one to directly tell someone that she disliked them. And even to someone as abniouxious as Talonscale she would be as polite as possibly. But he was really getting on her nerves, and her ears went back slightly, as a cat's does when it's angry or pissed. In truth she was not looking forward to her trainning sessions.

<sub>'Well, maybe I can't because, maybe she doesn't? What do you think about that?' He blushed even more, and stammered out, "W-well then, y-your blind, b-b-because even a T-t-two-leg-leger could see it." Oh, poor Firescale.

'Will you PLEASE stop talking about me as if I wasn't here!' Oh no. A greenhorn did not just talk to her like that. She bristled, groing up to be much bigger then he was. She could make herself bigger, then down to a normal size, but the biggest form, the one she hit now, was only when she got angry. Smoke leaked out of her mouth as she gave him a cool, you have three seconds to apoligize look. "Respect is something you need to learn, Greenhorn. Shadowfang? I double my request. May I train him? I can handle both of the them." She shrunk slightly, cinnimon hide rippiling with muscle. Giving him one more glare, she said quietly, "I suggest that you learn who your eldesr are, and start respecting them, pup."</sub>

The pompous greenhorn ignored Firescale completly, the smaller greenhorn was nothing to him. And was not a threat, so Talonscale had nothing to concern him with. Skysong however was a little different. Though the greenhorn would never admit that he was even slightly afraid of anything, he couldnt help but surpress a shiver as she looked down on him...
But he quickly gained his cool back. I suggest that you learn who your eldesr are, and start respecting them, pup."

"Last time I checked, older didn't mean powerful...er." he said it quietly, and glared up at Skysong, yet his head was bowed and his clawed hands were clenched.

Shadowfang watched with clear interest at the greenhorn's behavior he was about to interrupt but Skysong stepped in and diffused the situation. Shadowfang said nothing but his eyes glowed with approval towards Skysong. He flared his wings making sure that there was silence. "Skysong you have made your point I will hand over Talonscale's mentorship to you."

Goldscale turned at the voice that called her name it was her mentor! She gazed up at him in admiration and gave a slight chirp.

Infernoscale kept silent after his mentor had hit him in the head, his rage slowly building. Then when he heard Shadowfang hand over Talonscale to his mentor he shouted. "Yes!! Thank you Shadowfang!" Then he lowered his head and cleared his throat as he realized that he he had just shouted out loud. He had been waiting for a chance to get his claws into Talonscale now he had an excuse to kick him around all day. Even better, he was away from Flowerscale.

Shadowfang cast a stern look at Infernoscale the sai majestically. "This meeting is adjourned." Turning he launched himself off the cliff to go hunt and spend a little time alone.

<sub>Firescale wasn't that happy aout being ignored, but let it lie being a sensible creature. He also knew that Infernoscale wasn't that happy about Talonscale and Flowerscale, so he decided, that Inferno, being bigger, would be a better canadite for that.

'Last time I checked, older didn't mean powerful...er.' The bigger dragon laughed, then turned as Shadowfang spoke. 'Skysong you have made your point; I will hand over Talonscale's mentorship to you.' A cool smile slid over her face, and she just gave a smile to the, 'Yes!! Thank you Shadowfang!' A light tap was all that their was this time, because she understood that he didn't like Talonscale, and if she wasn't afraid to hit him, she sure as hell wasn't afraid to hit Talonscale.

"Thank you Shadowfang." She gave a sweet smile, then turned to her two new Greenhorns. "Well, pups, first lesson. You don't pick a fight with someone who's bigger, stronger, wiser, and more powerful then you are, understand? And by the way Talonscale, most of the time, it does. Unless you are old enough to be a Grandmother, then it might not count, but other then that." She gave him the pointed look, and turned away as Shadowfang ajorned the meeting. "Training tomorrow boys. Early. Dawn. Get ready to be put into shape." She really did like them, and felt a warmth in her as she looked at them, but that was blocked by her other side. She almost pitied them.</sub>

Dimmedheart glared at Shadowfang at being ignored. He watched him go before he took to the air himself. He headed toward the fresh meat pile he was very hungry. Then he decided he was going to vent his angry while hunting. He changed direction and headed toward the hunting grounds.

Talonscale let out a furious snort at the sudden switch of mentors. 'Damnit...' he thought-swore. He didn't like SkySong laughing at him, but nevertheless kept his mouth shut for a few moments, truly a miracle. He was utterly surprised at Infernoscale's outburst. The spout of glee. But why? It was clear Talonscale was not liked by the large greenhorn. Choosing to ignore that for now, he turned toward his new mentor, who was apparently speaking to him.

"Well, pups, first lesson. You don't pick a fight with someone who's bigger, stronger, wiser, and more powerful then you are, understand? And by the way Talonscale, most of the time, it does. Unless you are old enough to be a Grandmother, then it might not count, but other then that."

It took all his energy he could muster to keep himself from mimicking her, or perhaps saying 'Yes, Your Majesty' in a sing-song voice. But held his tongue, something told him it would not be wise to annoying the older dragon again.

Flowerscale couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief, she had narrowly avoided disaster. Sitting up, Flowerscale headed over to the Greenhorn's den, hoping to escape the horrid Talonscale.

Schorchingflames smiled widely(( )). He never really had someone look at him and actually admire him. He realized now that just because he looked different didn't mean others thought of you the same way as you did. His golden eyes showed his happiness as he looked down at his apprentice proudly. He let out a small laugh as he heard a little chirp from her. "So," he began, thinking of what he could teach her first. He had never trained anyone before, it wasn't really something that just came to him instinctivly. He decided to let Goldscale pick what she wanted to do first. "What do you want to learn to do first?"
