Flying Deadly

Dimmedheart laned in the middle of the Firepack camp, his prisoner in tow. He had caught the dragon stealing prey from them. He grinned to himself and waited for the dragon to land. "Look what I found, I've caught a prisioner!"

Neril had gone quitely, but now she would take stand. She laned beside him and then attacked him with an icebeam. It froze him completely. She smiled, "should have never trusted me, fool. so much for your prisioner deal!" She walked away from him and launched herlsef in the air, but fell back down again. She looked down at her feet then remebered she had been tied to him, what wonderful rotten luck.

Dimmedheart used his mind powers on Neril to clam here down.

Shadowfang walked calmly out of his den, he had heard a commotion in the central clearing. "What's this?" Shadowfang asked as he spotted the two dragons. One was one of his own warriors trapped in ice while the other was a female dragon that seemed to be tethered to him.

Neril lay down calmly, a blank look on her face. She rested her white head down on her feet and culred up.

Dimmedheart tried melting himself out, but was only able to free his head. "I caught her hunting on our grounds, Shadowfang. She's a tresspaser." He wriggled and squirmed inside of his icy block prison, but to no avil. He sighed and rested, while keeping a firm hold on the dragon's mind to keep it quiet.

"Oh really? The great silver and black dragon commented. Inside he was impressed, Dimmedheart was also a warrior whom he didn't know very well. He was impressed that the dragon had caught the intruder by himself. Dimmedheart seemed to be a very promising warrior in the pack. "Hold still." Shadowfang said. Then it seemed as if his shadow left the leader's body and wrapped itself around the ice block crushing it. Shadowfang winced as his shadow melded with him again. It always hurt when he used his own shadow in his shadow powers. It was like ripping yourself in half. "You can let the female go, I can handle her if she tries to get away. Are you hurt?" Shadowfang asked looking at Dimmedheart with pure concern.

The large Skysong had been hunting, happily letting her apprentices off for a few moments, deciding that she had been evil enough on them for one day. However, as she dragged her large bull moose back into camp, something stopped her thought's from her parrentice, driving them to her Leader, Dimmedheart, and a new dragon she had never met before, smelling no Pack.

"Hello all, Shadowfang. A prisoner?"

She had been in medium size, and now morphed into her full size, bigger than the surrounding dragons, though still shaped like a cat, and grinned, showing a mouth of predator teeth.

"I beleive that I can help keep her in line."

<ICKY... Ewwww.... I've completely forgotten how to do dragons...>

Shadowfang shook his head smiling slightly. Skysong reminded him of when he was a few decades younger. He too was willing to fight for his Pack. That was before he had learned that fighting wasn't the only way to protect his Pack. "That will not be necessary Skysong. I doubt she will put up much fight, not with some many warriors around. It would be... unwise." Shadowfang said looking the Loner in the eyes making sure that she knew what would happen to her if she caused any harm. "Now is what Dimmedheart claimed true? Were you hunting on our territory?"

Infernoscale clawed out of the greenhorn's den on his belly to see what was going on. Skysong had worked him so hard that he couldn't even lif his head to stare balefully at the small gathering of dragons. Once Infernoscale had been prideful and full of energy. Yet ever since he had gotten Skysong as a mentor he barely had enough energy to eat any fresh kill and most of the prey he caught went to the pile anyway.


(Tell me about it I can't even remember advanced posting. By the way the forum cut off thingy just look at the bottom and use the third scrolly thingy and go down to'the beginning' . Sorry when I don't know the technical word for something I use "thingy".)

Dimmedheart shok his head and smiled his thanks, letting her go from his mind control, which only worked when he was cold, but he had been freezing in there!

Neril growled and stood up, ready to fight here way out. She took a second look around her, and decided that the leader was right. "I've got to eat too, you know," she snapped. "I'm nor prisoner, either, I could fight my way out of here if I wanted to, but today I don't feel like." Neril narrowed her eyes and stared back at the leader, pride and unfiltered rage and hatred burned there, like lava from a volcano.

Skysong grinned, showing preadator fangs.

"Of course, Shadowfang."

However, as the younger dragon spoke, the catlike creature growled, deep in her throat.

"Watch your tone, child. This is the Leader you're talking to."

A sound made her look around though, attetion still on the fem, but something else catching her eye.

"Oh, do stop making things so bad, Infernoscale. Come meet our new friend."

She looked at her Apprentice, suddenly remembering she had two.

"Where's your Training Buddy?"

"I know that, I've got a brain and some sense. I'm not a greenhorn or a hatchling! Although I cann't say the same for you, gaint!" Neril curled back her lip in anger and glared at the dragon that had spoken to her, and spit, missing the other dragon however. She let a puff of smoak curl out of her nostrils in frustration and rage. She had been better off by herself. She had not been harrased by others or been treated and called a prisoner. She snorted and glared defiantly at the leader, who they called Shadowfang. Come to think of it, she could not remember IcePack's leaders name, she thought glumly.


Dimmedheart just watched, a smile playing at his lips, this was going to be interesting. He waited to see what Skysong or Shadowfang would do next to the defiant loner dragon.

(Sorry I replied late. From now on I'm waking up at 4 in the morning!! I can watch anime while getting ready for school then have time to watch even more anime online without the risk of being late to school every morning!)

Shadowfang watched Neril closely she had a fire in her eyes that reminded him of a distant and yet not so distant past. He watched as she argued with Skysong spitting, and cursing. Right now she was simply blowing smoke and venting her frustrations but her heart seemed as hot and firey as the volcano itself. "What's your name Loner?" Shadowfang asked.

"If we're lucky, he probably went to go jump off a cliff." Infernoscale muttered as Skysong asked where his "training buddy" was. He watched the Loner quietly. She definitely(sp?) had a spark to her. Infernoscale kept on his toes but it seemed as the warriors were relaxed as if they knew she could not fight. He bristled as the loner spat at his mentor calling her a "giant". Infernoscale took special offense to this name, it was the name they had teased him with during his hatchling life elsewhere.

(Activity should pick up around winter break I'm sure.)

"My name, huh, why don't you just ask your mind reader over there," she sniffed and turned her head. She whipped it back around and replied flatly, "fine, I'll tell you, I'm called Neril." She saw the greenhorn stiffen and bristle at her, "what are you looking at greenhorn? I've doen nothing to you, and by the looks of you, you would be happier with a different mentor." She growled and tensed up her muscles, relaxed them, then tightened them up. She churned up the ground beneath her claws, show wishing it was not ground, but dragon.


Dimmedheart did nothing, only watched the loner, Neril.

She caught her Greenhorn's words, and snorted, though she did not speak, letting him think that she didn't catch them. They'd both thank her later, though not until the brusies wore off. Ignoring the prisioner's words, she sniffed, though her eyes flashed at her curses. They did not bother her, though she was quiet tired of being called names. However, the red 'giant' kept her cool, only turning away with a mixture of amused scorn on her face.

However, at her next words to her Greenhorn, she was in the young dragon's face, scales brisiling and teeth bared. "You leave the child alone. It is not your business what he does or say's, and I'll have you know he's a bright dragon. Remember that though you say giant as though it is a bad thing, young one, I am not so old myself, and I am much quicker then I look." Oh, how she wanted to strike her, but she only stepped back, ignoring her Greenhorn who was most likely astounded that he had actually completmented him

Neril curled her lip back and swiped a clawed foot at the other dragon. "Everyone has a right to their own opion. It doesn't really matter any way. No chains shall keep me here." She lashed her tail out half hoping it would hit, yet strangely enough, it would miss. Neril's eyes blazed with hate, frustration and sadness, all rolled intoa big ball of complex emotions. Tears welled up in her eyes and she turned her head, willing them not to come, the fire dying as sadness adn frustration over came the hate and pride. She laxed some, as the hot salty tears rolled quietly down her buring cheeks.

Shadowfang gritted his teeth, he hated to see female dragons cry. He snorted, deciding to get it over with. "Would you like to stay?" He asked through grittted teeth.

Infernosclae's eyes widened, this was unexpected.

Neril jerked her head up, tears and all evidence gone that she had been crying. She started towards Shadowfang, lips drawn back in a snarl. She walked right up to him and said in barely even a whisper, "sure, why not." She walked away from him, a tiny smile on her face.


Dimmedheart stared in suprise, "are you mad!? What are you thinking, that's all you're going to do?" Dimmedheart looked at him with shock and utter surprise on his face.
