Flying Deadly

[Aurora]

Shadowfang stood atop the Cracked Ridge gazing over the camp. Piercedfang had appeared to him in a dream and declared him the new leader. Shadowfang was worried was he ready for this? What would the Pack say when he told them? It's time to face the music He thought. "FirePack!" Shadowfang called with a roar that was heard throughout the territory.

[Darkfang]

((LOL! The Dream excuse! I LOVE it! ))

Flowerscale came trotting up to the great ridge and sat down. Though not before doing a few tricks and bounces on the way. She had been still for so long she had almost forgot how good it felt to move! "What is it, Shadow Breaker?" she asked, then a thought came to her, "Are we getting Mentors!? Where's Piercedfang? Is she here?"

[MeMe]

_{Coming quietly along, the appretnice stopped by, next to Flowerscale, but not next to her, if you know what I mean. "Yeah Shadowbreaker?"}

(Are there any other members of FirePack still active besides us?)

Infernoscale strutted out of the medicine den and sat beside Flowerscale. He curled his tail around his feet as a cat would and looked at Shadow Breaker attentively.

Shadowfang paused for a second as he waited for the rest of the Pack. "Dragons! I have just received a dream from Trivia naming me the leader of FirePack . I know what you want to say. What happened to Piercedfang? Piercedfang died last night after a fatal twenty four hour virus. She did not call for Bloodclaw because she knew it was his time. I know you all feel as if this is all a lie but if you know of any dragon who deserves to be leader let him step up now."

Flowerscale's face fell, and her eye ridges curved inward. It was a mixture of concern and saddness, but also of respect. A soul as gentle as hers could never have suspected a betrayal. ((Even though I despratly wanted her too xD))
"You deserve it Shadow Breaker." she said, a respectful gleam in her eye.

[MeMe]

"Shadowfang, now." Firescale chided. "You do deserve it."

The big dragon Skysong nodded from where she had shrunk down to a medium size. "You do Shadowfang. Who is the Deputy now though?"

[Aurora]

"What they said." Infernoscale said his eyes gleaming in excitement.

"I thank you for your support." Shadowfang said bowing his head in gratitude. "As for the deputy no one has been named. Yet. Now for another problem. Flowerscale, Infernoscale please step up." Shadowfang called.

Infernoscale stepped up eagerly he though he knew what was coming.

[Darkfang]

Flowerscale got to her feet eagerly, her eyes alight. Her whole body was quivering and her colors were changing rapidly, showing her excitment.

[Searchstar]

A large being stalked in from the back of the camp nervously. His big yellow eyes whipped around the other dragons, they showed confusion. Why was ShadowBreaker standing there instead of Peircedfang? The winged serpant slithered up to the ridge, his hard red scales grinding against the rock below. "What's going on?" he said quietly.

[MeMe]

Quiet Firescale bowed his head and stepped foward, green eyes shinng excitedly, though his head was bowed. An Apprenticeship!

Imperious Skysong walked over to the dragon, and smiled at him in consolation. "Peircedfang died last night, and now Shadowb- I mean Shadowfang is now Leader."

[Aurora]

Shadowfang nodded his head in thanks to Skysong, he hadn't felt like explaining himself again. then he looked down at the three greenhorns.

"You all have already received your greenhorn names so I will skip straight to giving you your mentors."
"Firescale you will be mentored by the Healer Bloodclaw."
"Infernoscale your mentor shall be Skysong."
"Flowerscale, I will be your mentor."

Infernoscal was disappointed that he didn't get Shadowfang as his mentor but he knew Skysong was one of the best fliers in the Pack. If any could teach him to master his flight skills it would be Skysong.

[Darkfang]

Flowerscale's heart skipped a beat, it was great having a mentor at last, but SHADOWFANG! Never had she'd dreamed such an honor! Her eyes gleamed even brighter and she stood stock still, her eyes fixed on her leader and now her mentor.

[MeMe]

She gave a breif nod to him in regard of the smile, and then blinked in surprise at being named Infernoscales mentor. She tweaked her scarlet nose, and looked down at the greenhron. Having shrunk down slightly, since she could make herself normal sized and regualr giant sized, she was only slightly taller then him. "Well Infernoscale... Okay, then, I hope you know Im not gonna go easy. Practice tomorrow morning, sharp. Alright? Lets see if we can get those wings under control."

Firescale nodded in joy at being the Healers Greenhorn, but then had a doubt. He wasn't the best at flying, and his attack skills were horrible... Would Bloodclaw train him in fighting, too?

[Darkfang]

The firey Greenhorn came in as a blur of flame, his whole tail on fire gave him that extra boost and he had had to hurry to the meeting. He landed painfully next to Flowerscale who jumped, startled at the unexpected arival. "Sorry everybody! What did I miss?" he said cooly, almost as if nothing at all was the matter. And that he had not just come catapulting out of the sky.
