PERSONALITY:

Kurt has a sweet disposition and would do anything for his friends. He gets his feelings hurt easily but he doesn't let anyone onto the fact since he was taught to never cry in front of people. He doesn't like to let others down. When he does he takes it really hard and tries everything to make it up to them. He's one of the type of people that wants to be friends with everyone and have no enemies. Kurt is one of those types of people who would go to the ends of the earth to help his friends and make sure their needs are met before his.

On the other hand... Kurt does have a bit of a bitchy side, and doesn't really mince words with people. He's pretty capable of holding his own in an argument and uses it to his advantage. He hates when people take all the limelight and he can't stand pushy people. He likes to perform and takes any chance he can get.

He is also very manipulative when he wants to be, and he is very charming. He is intelligent, quick witted, and sarcastic. He shows his smarts, sarcasm and quick wittedness when speaking to everyone and anyone. He can get defensive and lash out when he is under pressure, but he very rarely means it.

HISTORY:

Kurt Eugene Hummel was born in London to Burt and Elizabeth Hummel. His parents were both purebloods, so he grew up knowing what magic was since his parents both used it around him to expose him to it. While he spent a lot of time with his mother his father often tried to get him into outdoor sports such as hunting and fishing. Though he never seemed interested in it. He always would rather stay at home and sew with his mom or play with her knickknacks. He did show an interest in Quidditch, which his dad jumped on the opportunity to teach him, buying him his first broomstick and teaching him to fly it, while his mother taught him to play piano and sing.

Kurt's parents knew there was something different about him from the beginning when he asked them for a pair of shoes for his birthday instead of a toy. He didn't play with other boys, preferring to hang out with girls and hold tea parties. His parents thought it was a phase at first but they actually encouraged it, figuring telling him no wouldn't help in the long run. His father drew the line at a couple of things, but otherwise left his son alone. He was really close to his mother, so when she became sick from cancer when he was seven he was scared for her. The young boy insisted on being by her side, helping her when she was sick and even attempting to nurse her back to health again. None of it really helped; she died a month after Kurt's 8th birthday.

After that it was just Kurt and his father. Burt took care of his son, but Kurt insisted that he take care of his father. When Kurt got his letter to Hogwarts, Burt was extremely proud, and more so when he was sorted into Gryffindor. For a while, Kurt didn't really have a hard time. He joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team in his second year as a backup chaser, playing when one of the chasers was injured. Being on the Quidditch team didn't stop Kurt from getting bullied, and being pushed around in the hallways was something he grew used to. It didn't get better once he actually admitted to himself and his friends that he was gay in his 5th year.

Burt met and fell in love with Finn Hudson's mother Carole (not without a little pushing from Kurt, who had a crush on Finn) and the two became brothers. Finn and Kurt didn't really get along all that well as stepbrothers at first, but they became a family and started to hang out more. They joined the DA when Harry, Ron and Hermione started it, and fought together when Voldemort and his death eaters attacked Hogwarts. Now that the battle is over, Kurt's preparing to finish his last year. He's joined the Glee club that was set up willingly, and can't wait for it to get started.
