Well I hope this is in the right topic space so let's begin. First of all this conversation can be understood by any whom have seen or read the Da Vinci Code. If you haven't done either then all you need to know is just basic religious history and what not.

Okay so my 1st question is to everyone whose read the book. Have you solved the code that's inside it? I'm only allowed to say that it has to do with the lettering if you have not.

Next: Before I can even begin this whole topic of discussion, I want to know how many out their seriously believe the Da Vinci Code or at least feel that it could ACTUALLY be true? I myself have saw many things that could lead to an outstanding amount of credability to the book, making me wonder about Mary Magladene (Whom I already respected anyway *don't ask why unless u seriously want to know*) and the Knights Templar leading toward the Priory of Zion.

Another subject I would like to get into would be the branch of the church known as Opus Dei. So...any taker's on this conversation?

First of all, the DaVinci Code is fiction. Simple fiction. Though it's basis is in fact in many places, allow me to debunk a few of the major issues.

1. The faction known as Opus Dei. This faction is a modern one, created to prove an ancient blood line of kings. Their roots are not near so deep as Brown claimed.

2. The Priory of Scion, as well as the Freemasons, are in no way connected to the Knights Templar.

3. The Knights Templar were of such mystery that no one could hope to suddenly burst forth with so much information about their nature. The simple fact is that as a secret society, they were the most secretive of all. What we know is mostly speculation.

4. The essense of the story was a book co-written by two authors in the early 1980's which was later admitted to be a hoax, complete with the allegedy documentation which was, also, admitted to be false.

Thankyou Legion ^.^ That's just the kind of information I was looking for. But still things in history like when the Knights Templar where executed all over on Friday the 13th and what they did to give them so much power? Also I forgot to mention this but what's your take on the Lenardo Da Vinci's painting of the Last Supper were they say that Mary Magladene herself is beside Jesus. That and what do you think of the whole Jesus being married thing?

Well, allegedly, they came into possession of a relic of such importance that the Catholic church ordered that the Templar should answer to no authority lesser than the Pope himself as "hush money" of sorts. In other words, they were given power to shut them up.

As far as The Last Supper goes, I think that it very well could be Mary Magdaline in the painting. However, it's a just that: A painting. And DaVinci is infamous for taking jabs at the Catholic church in his works. It's quite possible that he did it as an insult to the church, not for some deep-rooting meaning that should be passed on to later generations.
