Well, I'm out of ideas for trying to revert DCF RP's back to the way they they were before the new mods changed it into literate only rp's.

Here's what I did:

No one is stopping someone with spelling and grammar that isn't ideal from joining role-plays. I was about to make a topic like this, asking for thoughts about the current DCF RPs. Unfortunately, I have no idea of what should be done to correct this, seeing as the mods are demanding 5 sentences PER post. Some people like me may find it moderately easy, however, not everyone is the same person.

My current thoughts about the RPs is that they're kind of losing the fun. I mean, when I first registered, I loved RPing, they were very fun! Time passed... most of my RPs died OR lost the fun, there's only ONE RP I'm in on DCF.

EDIT: To solve the 'Z0MG I CANOT WRITEZ 5 SENTENCEZ!!!' or 'Z0MG MAH GR4MM4R SOX!!!!!111' problems, how about splitting up the RPs in like, three categories, for example: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced? Beginner would have low requirements (example: you don't need to write 99 sentences each post). Intermediate would be a step up, say, you need good grammar and like 5+ sentences each post. Advanced would be for the 'Master' RPers, who can write more than 5 paragraphs and have an incredible grammar.

@MD, They have, illiterate(banned), Semi-Literate, Literate and Advanced type RP's the rule for 5+ Sentences is going to Semi-Literate, and as LD had said, they're may be one liners, but they're shouldn't be. (Might as well be saying occasional one liners, or only two sentences in Semi-Lit rp's are allowed, now Khay and Dark wish to change this to +5 sentences)

@Viper, TJ more than likely does agree with them, otherwise i doubt he would have made them mod's.

@CJ7, what I mean was, like, splitting up them in DIFFERENT forums. Oh well, I guess this isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I don't see anything wrong about that rule, in fact, I kinda like it, because it encourages people to write MUCH better posts. The problem is that not everyone can write 5+ sentences each post.

True, but not ALL of them.

If anyone wants an example of how fun not having to write 5 sentences is. Who likes mini-RPing at Dark Velgon's RS Clan Chat?

Lol, I'm already guilty of doing that and yeah, it's pretty fun! Although trying to fit everything you want to say on one line does get annoying at times...

Besides, I'm a terribly slow typist >.< Some people on Rs even give me a hard time about answering straight away. Adding five sentances to that would possibly take an eternity for me... >_>

@VS, I agree to everything. (especially the fun part)

Another protest is about 'first person RPing'. I might be hard to understand, but I think there are some people that can RP in first person exceptionally well, however, they have some difficulty RPing in third person. Unlikely, though. I never gave it a shot because I don't know how... :P

Also. If they raise it to more than 6-8+ sentences, I'll quit. :/
And probably more will. That's just way too rigid, and RPs WILL lose the fun.

And not all 8-12 year olds have good grammar/spelling either, some do, but not all.

I will go back so long as it's only a 5 sentence limit, 6+ sentences though, I won't go back/will quit again.

I only quit because of school work but now that I'm on break, I won't return.

I also think that one factor that can make RPs fun or boring is if you are friends with the RPers on the RP. Usually I enjoy RPs where I'm not ignored and if I am friends with the people there. On RPs I don't even know the RPers though, I seem to have less fun there.

Agreed, when i was new i just wanted to RP in general, now I'd rather RP with friends than a bunch of people i don't know.

How about 'no off-topic OOC'? Not being able to chat (note: not about the RP) with RPers is really lame. One of the RPs I'm in got a mod's visit because we were typing a crapload of OOC. Now, we all are like this:

Yes, that is also annoying if i quit again that'll be part of why i quit. (haven't gone back yet but will soon)

By the way, they should consider whose language isn't English. I said that once and Khay said her wasn't either but her English is good. She also said I would improve.

Still, not everyone has good English.

Yeah, I hate not being able to just straight out rp instead of worrying if what I've posted was good enough for the Mods.

My opinions, now:

1. 5+ Sentences - Has two sides. The good one is that it'll improve (mostly) the RPs's quality, I started disliking one-liners when I started my way to semi-literate. I think it's nice, but the bad news start when you have a writer block (have no idea of what to write). I'd suggest toning it a bit down, like, 2-3 sentences for semi-literate, or re-open Illiterate (or re-open it as 'Beginner'?).

2. Anti-1st person RPing - sure, people may dislike it, but going after it just plain sounds racist. :/ If the OP don't want it, simply put on the rules...

3. Offtopic OOC - Not being able to chat with other RPers, like I said, failz. However, pure OOC posts (AKA: Spam) should and MUST be targeted.

4. Illiterate RP ban - Yep, GF Illiteracy. Kind of a good move, I like simple RPs but Quality RPs...
If you think I'm wrong, look at Unapproved, I saw many crap RPs some times. Encourages people to improve.

Once a RP called New Beginnings was threatened to be shut down due to the low quality posts, but it looked fun and everyone seemed to be friends there. It's better now, but, if it were to be closed, I'd be quite angry. And I'm itching to try out my new huge @$$ Shotgun model that can shoot 50kg shotgun shells!

Bump! And just to add... being literate is writting posts with good grammar and stuff, not writting 100+ paragraphs with horrible grammar. Remember, quality over quantity.

I would like to apologize for my behavior. I should not have said what I did and I am ashamed for what I've said. Please forgive me but these are the reasons I have quit the Role-playing section:

1. My hands shake badly therefore I cannot post as quickly throwing off some of the faster typists and causing me to take about an hour to thirty minutes to make each post. This is a medical problem I cannot help!

2. It would take even longer if I had to go back over my work just to see if it's suitable to actually post. My brain doesn't work quite as fast as a normal person's would. it takes me a while to read through and catch each missed comma; please forgive me for that.
