He looekd at her with a cocked eyebrow and chuckled a bit. "All year? Pity, thought with your looks you would've had even the most quote-on-quote pure of Paladins diving at your feet, just begging to teach you. Seems like looks are deceiving, aren't they?"

Zine and Lupin were nowhere in sight and hadn't bothered catching up with the rest of them... strange. Vaden would let them come back however they chose, maybe even learn a lesson or two as they came back to retrieve their third companion. "And of course, lessons are free of charge, so no worries on paying for them or raising any suspiscions, hm?" He stroked her arm as they walked, the dreariness of Ghenna starting to weight down on him. Breana and Myore also were nowhere in sight. But they were bound to come around once again, faster and harder. Particularly Breana would after witnessing the strength of her so-called competition.

Lauhing softly, she continued to walk across the waistlands. The mood of the dark country was starting to put a damper on her mood but she did her best to brush it off. Leaning her head against his shoulder.

No worries darling.

Running her fingers though her long golden hair, she watched a birt sail through the trees as they walked. Looking over at him, she caught the look of deep thought on his face and rubbed his hand gently.

Your thinking about them comming back arn't you?

It surprized her that she could pin his thoughts so easily, but she smiled slightly and kept her eyes on him for a moment. The same thought had been playing in her mind as well, but she didn't feel the fear she figured she should. She felt safe with him, like they could concour anything that they were faced with.

Vaden turned, watching her head on his shoulder and planted a peck on the top of it. She was too radiant to be around in Ghenna and yet she chose to travel through for this quest that seemed lost now... it had become a solo effort on her part. He could have felt sorry for her, but Silvara wasn't the kind to accept it unless she was truly helpless. With a sigh, he looked behind them. "Aye. Those two've become more stubborn over the past millenia and Myore overall betrayed his Paladin Oath," he said drifting off at the end, "It just amazes me how Myore, after all this time, can jsut turn his path and practically bushwhack through the undertow. If there's one debt that I owe him and Breana is that I probably wouldn't be here today the way I am now. They were like parents in an awkward way... moreso Breana."

He bit the inside of his cheeks at the thought of Breana. Passion was a good thing, but as with everything else, too much of a good thing can rot into something else.

In a strange way she understood what he was saying about them being like parents. Her own parents had tried to kill her in another way. They had tried to kill her sprit and in her mind sometimes that was worse. Linking her fingers with his, she gave them an affectionate squeese and smiled slightly.

All will be well in the end...

Sighing slightly, her mind wandered to her companions. She had no clue of where they were or if they were even looking for her. That simple thought wounded more than pride so she tucked those feelings away and bit her lip.

"They're bound to. If somehow they ended up straying away from all this, I'll be sure to brand them as so," he said sternly, "Losing companions... is one thing... for them to abandon someone is practically sacrileage if they made any oaths to stick together. But whatever, 'm talking old-fashioned. There doesn't seem to be any sense of union these days, just a more individual 'survival of the fittest' widespread circumstance."

Vaden gave her a hand a squeeze in return before he squinted his eyes to ahead. The edge of the forest was near and the marshlands were about to truly begin. Villages were ragtag that they weren't given any names, just referred to by location. There were countless of these settlements spotting Ghenna and more underground in the more solid lands. Pleasant or not... it was a matter of a traveler's preference.
