OK, there has been some controversy about the drinking age in the US. Some crazy teenagers think that you can be able to serve in war at 18, then you can also enjoy a drink. I personally think you shouldn't do either but that's my opinion so it doesn't matter. If you don't live in America, you can still say what you think the drinking age should be.

Also, don't state your opinion if it's if it's beyond Homestar standards, keep it to yourself.

Also, you can't choose all 3 because you can so there.

I'm pretty sure nobody here can have a safe opinion. Because most of you are TINY LITTLE BABBIES

But the age should stay the same. You just learned to drive, do you really need to get drunk while doing so?

First of all, what "other drugs" are you talking about? Medicine? Cigarettes? Cocaine, which is not even legal?

Also we seem to have it pretty good right now, and if people were allowed to drink at 18 there would be so many more accidents your head would spin.

also why aren't we discussing the possible change of the driving age because i don't want maniacs like bluebry on the streets well.gif

I don't think this is (or will become) very kid friendly, nor do I think this will end well.

EDIT: everyone complained so much that i locked this thread because it "might not end well" that i unlocked it, so here you go

Why bother? Teenagers and the like are more than likely to break into a liquour store and drive without regard for the law because they think it is "cool".

Police need to be more strict.

Yeah in pretty much every first-world western country police don't have enough powers ever.

At any rate, I really can't see that much difference between 18/21. If you're considered an adult at 18 then you should have all the benefits of one, really.

That being said it's 18 in Australia, so I'll be off binge drinking in about 8 months or so. Don't wait up.

(I had a friend come from Germany earlier this year, and the drinking age there is 16. How about that.)

Edit: also, in most cases, age is indeed proportional to maturity, as most of the users of this forum are evidence of.

"Drinking underage is a no-no

if we find you doing it, we'll get everyone you ever knew and loved Drunk"

That sends out a message that tells me "Do not drink becuase it is bad for you".

It that was on every poster, I'm sure people would listen.

i demand this topic be locked because JCM screwed up "age = / = maturity"

I actually think the alcohol being illegal until you're 21 is what drives kids to go out, rob a liquor store, and crash their step-dads saturn

i mean, isn't the drinking age in mexico like 5

Mexico is 18, and drinking in the streets or inside a vehicle is illegal.

As for cigarettes, I think they should be outlawed, because unlike alcohol, they have zero benefits, apart from the millions of tax dollars they bring in for the government, which is why they are here to stay.

Governments are stupid.

I'm not voting because we can drink legally when we're 18 so you guys suck.

Also it's legal for us to drink alcohol if our parents allow us. I think. Something like that.
