Hey, whenever I try searching the description and not the topic, I get the following message:

Notice: Undefined index: t in /home/supersam/public_html/forum/search.php on line 33

It still searches, though.

Agree'd!

I've made a few updates: now you won't get those annoying notices, and if you somehow find your way to the official search page on the forum, it'll redirect you to the Clamserver search page.

The largest change I've made is the fact that the search index can now be easily updated: there's a link at the bottom of the search page which lets you update it whenever you please (it usually takes around 30 seconds to a minute), and if nobody updates it within a week, it'll hassle everybody until it's updated.

Now there's no excuse for not searching before you start a topic! None at all! Bweheheeheheehe*dies*

Odd. It's the opposite for me.

What forum theme are you using? It might have something to do with that.

If you're using Tandy: it's broken, I don't feel like trying to fix it. You can if you want, PM me the code, and I'll add it in myself. But I've tried to many times to only fail.

But, if you AREN'T using Tandy...

What browser are you using?

I may be able to find the problem.

But it's fine in Firefox...

You can probably just get rid of the code that hides it in Tandy, since the user will get redirected anyway.

I tried a few days ago, and it didn't work (strangely). I'll try it again this weekend.

After a lot of coding, I've managed to put together a thing that indexes every single post on the forum. It's currently churning away (it's got 5,471 pages to load) and if all goes well we should have full-text search available (relatively) soon.

Preliminary tests worked fine but getting over 66,000 posts is a bit different to getting 100. I hope it'll luck out and result in me not having to do the whole thing again. And again. And however many times it takes to fix minor, minor errors.

Edit: hey look just as expected

Edit 2: well I increased the memory limit but it stopped working once it got to CGN (which was like 3/4 of the way through) and it got to the "soup soup soup soup" part which broke the browser. I've deleted the offending posts and am trying again.

HEY GUYS REMEMBER THIS SEARCH THING

I fixed various bugs on the import page and added the new forums (Big Ol' Tree wasn't even in the list) so now everything is just great.

I also removed Admins Only since it was completely useless.
