Sysop Alert Button. For those times when there never seem to be any sysops around.
This is currently in the experimental stages, but my intention is that it gets wired up to the email accounts of the sysops so they can be notified as to vandal incidents. It isn't effective in its current form, but once I rig it up so I can identify users (to stop rampant button pressers) it should work better. -------------------- |

If only we could somehow transfer this to The Fanstuff Wiki?
I got it. Maybe we add it to El Toolbaro? (The Toolbar) -------------------- Error!

Or, you could just edit your monobook.js and add in a link to it into the toolbar. That's what I did. -------------------- |

Good idea. Even though I suggested something like that on the Suggestions page.

Heh, I like this button. Combined with the Gmail Notifier in the bottom-right corner of my monitor, I'll be on top of everything, and you guys can stop complaining!
Yeah, I think that all interested users should copy TSI's monobook code into their own, since the developers don't trust sysops enough to edit the official one. And it isn't "official enough", much like this forum. What do the slashed-out text refer to? Is it whether they're online or not? In any case, I'm in the same time zone as Josh. -------------------- whilst naked

Oh, if anyone's interested, here's the monobook code(NOTE: put this in your monobook first, then add my code right after the last line, before the close bracket):

I have to agree with you. You never know what it does. Maybe the sysops come in a police car. I don't know -------------------- Error!

If it didn't magically send an email to every sysop on earth, I already would have. I'm going to have to keep away from that button. It's what's best for me. -------------------- |

Slashed-out text refers to who is connected to the button. As of right now, I'm the only one connected (in order to stop all sysops receiving tons of test button presses). That means that you can all feel free to go nuts. ![]() Note: if any of you regular users want to receive alerts as well for whatever reason (during either testing stage or final stage), just let me know your email address and timezone so I can add you in. (You probably won't be on the main page, but you'll receive emails nonetheless.) This post has been edited by Super Sam on Mar 2 2008, 03:58 AM -------------------- |

Now this is a good idea.
And Shwoo is a registered trademark of the YBK Forums after the site died and all the admins ran off, and don't forget it. |

Since minor versions (ie. v2.24.1 build 5200) are just annoying, every change, minor or otherwise, adds a version. It's much less confusing that way! A list of changes that have occurred (not in order) from v1 to v6 are:
Edit: as part of v7, I added a changelog, so you never have to bother me again. -------------------- |
