Okay, I can see why some Flash avatars may be objectionable (Rickrolled!) but others could be fine. Like mine is just a rotating image. So why come abolishing altogether? Wouldn't it be better to make some type of rule for them?

The Mu put the entire Cheatball game inside his avatar. I imagine that on slower computers, it loads REALLY slow.

Nah, you could play it. Another guy put an imbedded rickroll youtube video in, sound and all. I think it was Dinoshaur? Almost banned the guy on the spot.  --------------------

Yeah, I was the only one who was causing problems with the flash avatars. DON'T BAN MEH.
(The Rickroll one was hilarious, though. You have to admit.) EDIT: By the way, the original flashvatar troublemaker was Crüsäder, who told me back in 2006 that he changed his avatar to a Strong Bad Email and had it taken down. I never really saw either as a problem. In fact, I thought they were pretty cool! I don't really support this decision. But what does my opinion matter? It's not like I'm a sysop or anything...

I'd say giving people the ability to put rickrolls in their avatars (and signatures, actually) on a whim is enough for a reason to take them off like every other forum out there.
