so I typed out a swag review but then safari froze bluebryjimmy

Basically while I'm not super into chiptunes the whole deal with the very rhythmic hooks and clever use of idiomatic ideas threw me back to when my brother used to play First Samurai on our old Amiga (which has a kickass soundtrack btw). Highlights were The King's Decision with that reggae feel and 'Shroom Fields was just such a jam with the catchy hook and interesting chords I really dug it.

All the tracks were pretty short which was okay, I felt pretty satisfied after listening to it the whole way through and then went back and listened to a few again that stuck out (man 'Shroom Fields has a solo that I'd be super proud to bust out on guitar) but I feel if you were to make them longer you'd maybe need to develop your ideas better but if was on a loop on a game I don't imagine I'd get tired of them quickly.

I might buy a copy later to jam along, but what I really want is that GB Scythe's making with some of your jams, that would be sick.

as a matter of fact i've been talking to him about this matter and we're trying to work something out. at the moment he still needs a working sound driver for it though so i can't exactly do much without platform to work on (without a driver there's no knowing its limitations and features, expected format etc), but as soon as we get past that i'll probably make some tracks for his game

and thanks <3

ok you know how you have like fl studio with the piano roll and everything

ok it's like that except with numbers everywhere and a tracker goes down instead of to the right and you use samples only and you don't have vst effects (unless you're a tool and use openmpt)

that is how i make nearly all my music (all of the tracks in that album), but i sometimes use famitracker if i want to make something restricted to NES limitations (i usually use it for covers like this one of Fri11Mar)

oh I never posted in this! ok I think it's really good, and I like how all the tracks are all in your own sort of style, but are all quite different too. lemonade stand still rocks of course and a lot of the others are catchy as well. it is a good album.

I have a kinda half-jimmied sound engine for a gameboy game going on here. I think that some svet tracks are a-planned. which will be neat!

i like how that was exactly the quote being displayed right above your post

i'd have screenshotted it but there's no much point in that since it could've been called out as fake because you can just click to refresh it
