CotQ contest!

It’s a new month, so a new contest! Sense this month is also the one year of the Chronicle of the Quill, a contest will be held in honour of it. Even if you are not one of the writers for the Chronicle, you may still participate.

For this contest five quotes were chosen from the Chronicle and you must choose one quote and write a story based around it. Now you must include the quote somewhere in your story, word for word -you may change your tenses though.

When you post your story please put the title in the topic title box and write "CotQ contest entry" in the topic description box. You can post your entries in the Fiction Challenges and Battles forum.

There is a minimum of 1500 words and a maximum of 2000 words, and it can be any genre.

The short stories must be posted no later than October 5, 2007, at 12:00 midnight. The winner will be determined by vote of anyone on the site who has read all of the stories and wishes to submit their vote. If you’ve entered, you must vote. Fair is fair.
The polls will open October 6, 2007, after all the stories have been posted, and will stay open until October 13, 2007. So that’s a week to vote for which story you think is the best. And please, don't vote for yourself.

Don't write anything above the rating of 18A (so means no erotica! Aka. hot steamy details.)

Please make a post below this if you are going to enter the contest. You will have until Friday, September 28, 2007 to announce your entry. After that this post will be closed and you will be unable to enter. However, you are allowed to post your story as soon after you've declared your entry as you want. If you have it done the day after tomorrow, post it up as soon as it's finished. It ensures that other members will have time to read your story.

There must be 3 people minimum competing for this contest to run.

I'm in, although damn this one is going to be hard considering I'm having a hard time thinking of anything but the actual scenes that those quotes were actually written for... It's going to be hard to put them into another setting.

I s'pose I'll do this one as well; writing contests provide wonderful inspiration, even for the ideas I don't use.

I'll join. I can think of a few things with some of those quotes.
