Easter

Lent begins February 22 and Easter Sunday is April 8.
For myself, Great Lent begins February 27 and Pascha (Easter Sunday) is on April 15.

I have not made final Lent plans. Sometimes I give something up, and other times I don't. All depends on where I am being led.

I don't like Cadbury Eggs and I think Peeps are dis.gus.ting. So, no boxes!

My mom's birthday is on Easter, so we will go to Easter service and have an Easter dinner/birthday party.

I typically observe Lent as a season of self-examination. Most years I don't give up something since that strikes me as legalistic. Last year, however, I tried giving up two things. I was successful with one but not the other, so I likely won't go down that road again this year.

Zero and zero. I don't eat them.

I make Easter dioramas with Peeps--I can't eat them after they've fossilized.

Cadbury Mini Eggs are my downfall.

Ash Wednesday

Are you kidding? That's the only way to eat Peeps! That's why I was so disappointed with the sugar free ones I bought, they didn't get crispy. Kinda scary when you think about it.
