meet miss lily josephine evans, a sixth year gryffindor student at hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizard. blimey, that sounds so formal. which lily assuredly isn't. yes, she may be a smart, highly moral young lady, but she is also one hell of a spitfire. DON'T GET HER PISSED OFF. they associate the term 'fiery redhead' with her for a reason. she's a muggleborn witch, and is very confident with who she is. she's very concerned about this newly rising dark lord, and even more so concerned for severus' involvement with all of this, so keep a look out for her getting involved. it's inevitable. she needs friends, and i think you all know who you are. james potter, do not even try to fit yourself into this category. her best friend atm is severus snape, and most of her fellow gryffindors truthfully just don't understand why she chooses to associate with him. enemies, yah, she needs those too. number one right now - james potter. we all know how the story goes, but james is hardly husband material at the moment with the way that he's been treating severus. aaaaand, as for lovers, well, i can't ignore canon, so james will eventually be lily's final. buuuut, i'm contemplating something happening with sev. FRAAAAANS!! So, Remus might occasionally drop comments about how James really isn't all that bad -- not that he's trying to get Lily to date him, just ease up on him. He'd totally love it if Lily talked to him about things, cause he's full of advice and observations on things ... like the Severus situation. Uhhhhm ... Remus feels very caught between Lily and his friends. He loves them all though, and hopes she doesn't hate him for selling out and Mauraudering. =D

LOL. lily and remus are bound to be close, and even though she really despises james, remus is the one person that she'll actually tolerate talking about him. in fact, she might even initiate conversation about him. "remus, can you please tell james to leave me alone? i swear to merlin that if he hexes severus one more time, i am going to rip his bollocks off!" they're bound to have such brilliant conversations. C: hehe so yeah, friends ftw!

alright, so um BEST FRIENDS forever to the end and end <3 They totally bonded over the "James is such a freaking prat" thing, considering jessica's been teased mercilessly since she was little by him. family friends, say wha? And then yay for fellow prefects! anyways, so right now Severus is Lily's best friend, and since Jessica's personality is very "just go with my friends," she'd be okay with him. So, um - we totally need a Lils/Jess thread! Wow. this was /fail plottage. >_>

yay they make such cute besties! they totally will bond over james, and lily will probably pester jessica to spill some incriminating details about him so that she can hold it over his head whenever he does something else to torture sev. i can also see lils being sort of an older sister type figure to jess, as jessica is younger, even though not by too much. she'd be very protective of her best friend! <3

Being in the same house and year, I feel like they'd definitely know each other, but I don't really know how they'd get along. xP They could either be on friendly terms or Lily would strongly dislike her. xD

JAMES&LILY

James is in love with her. She is, in his mind, the reason for his existence. Unfortunately, he has a bit of a problem with expressing himself. Like a first grader, James thinks the only way to get her attention is to aggravate her. He enjoys picking on her friend, Snape (Snivellus), and makes sure to ask her out every time he comes into contact with her.

oh, there is much fun to be had with these two. be prepared for lots of snarky!lily, especially when sev's around. right now, lily wants absolutely nothing to do with james, but we'll see if we get them to a point where lils actually softens up a bit (or james finds a better outlet for his affections). any plotting/threading ideas are welcome. <333

well, we all know they eventually end up being friends, but right now... not so much, haha. she'll probably warm up to him once she starts warming up to james, since the two are practically the same person. for now, though, he's just an arrogant git who bullies one of her best friends. apart from the fact that lily actually likes snape, sirius doesn't dislike lily at all, and kind of respects the way she sticks up for people and speaks her mind. unfortunately, they are very much alike in that regard. that means that until they can learn how to discuss controversial topics such as snape (or accept that they're never going to see eye-to-eye and avoid such topics altogether), then they're probably not going to get along too well.

these two butt heads entirely too much for their own good. haha but for whatever reason, i love them and their snark. we should have a sirius/lily note or thread, or a lily/marauders note or thread at some point! <3

Well we know these two had a pretty good history up until the Mudblood Incident last year. If Lily hasn't accepted his apology, then he will try to apologize again; however, if she continues to brush him off (with the exception of talking to him occasionally) then he will feel as though their friendship is over and he will drift even further away from her because of that. Sev is of course secretly in love with Lily, although he won't admit it for fear of rejection, but I think these two are totally cute together so I'm interested in knowing what you have planned for them. Severus is leaning towards the Death Eaters; however, he has yet to make a decision. Personally I would think that if Lily keeps pressuring him to stay away from his Slytherin friends then he'll just spend more time with them to make her feel jealous or whatever. Hah. Unless she gives him a very good reason not to anyway...

she hasn't accepted his apology yet, no, but she is still defending him despite the ... incident. XD i kind of want them to have this big blowout where lily doesn't accept his apology but makes it clear that she doesn't want to lose their friendship. imagine lots of yelling and crying, her imploring to know why the hell he insists on hanging around with those slytherins that do nothing but corrupt his mind. she wants him to stay, but she won't accept his apology. "severus, don't you see, they're destroying every last shred of decency in you! the sev that i know would never have called me what you did ... what do i need to say to make you see reason?" instead of the blind fury that many people lily to have adopted, my lils is going to be more concerned for him. yes, she's upset at what he said to her, but she's not shutting him out just yet. does that clarify anything? XD

Well it's never been an issue of clarification since you answered my question last night on the Chat Box... Even if Lily does express the desire to stay friends and talks to him then Severus will still feel as though he's 'fucked things up again' because she hasn't accepted his apology. And of course I understand that she's trying to make him see the error of following blindly after his Slytherin friends without the fury and total shut-out that she had during the books; however, this is a moot point to Sev. He'll be happy that she still talks to him, but at the same time - because she hasn't accepted his apology - they'll continue to drift apart. It's hard to describe.
So yeah, even with their conversations about his friends and what he said last year, I really can't see him being like: 'Oh yeah, Lily, you're right...' Unless she accepted his apology or gave him the impression that they could work something out.
