*APPEARANCE: Unlike most of the Black family, Narcissa was blessed with a full head of white/blonde hair that hangs in long strands down her back. She prefers to wear it in curls but also likes it straight. Her hair is almost always down, but can be tied up in and updo or clip if necessary. Cissy's face isn't as angular as Bella, but also isn't as round as Andy's. Her's falls perfectly inbetween. As a child, it was round but as she has matured into a young women it has started to take on the familiar angles seen on most of the Black family. Cissy has a pale, sensitive complextion compared to most. Her eyes are almond shaped and ice blue in color. They truly are the windows to her soul, showing whatever emotion she is feeling at that moment. She retains a tall, lithe figure, with slight curves no where near as apartent as Bella's.

*CLOTHING: When you're from the most noble house of Black, you can't expect that she would dress like a Muggle, would you? Cissy loves fancy dresses that make her stand out, dresses with charms that draw in attention, but she can't wear those every day. When she's not wearing her robes, she is usually found in day dresses or skirts with tights, giving off an illusion that she is sweet and innocent. She isn't a big fan of the gaudy jewelry her family seems to prefer, but on occasion wears a necklace to draw attention towards her face.

*ALLIANCE: While she never wants to become a Death Eater, Cissy's beliefs have made her alliance with the dark side inevitable. Blood purity is important to her, afterall.

how to describe NARCISSA

Narcissa is the eptiome of charasmatic younths. She is a vision of purity with a bit of a dark side.

*PAY ATTENTION

Cissy has not, and never will be, a wallflower, someone who just sits on the sidelines and lets life pass her by. She has always flourished in the spotlight, being her mother's little socialite. She will make a scene if need be, and she'll deserve an award for it by the end of it. Given the right opportunity and reasons, she can be submissive and let someone else take center stage, preferring to listen and be quiet so as to better learn what is going on around her. However, in most cases she prefers that the focus be on her, as it always has been.

*BLUNT

This is only when it really matters for her to be honest, or when she just feels like being an outright bitch (which, unfortunately for others, is often). Whether you ask for it or not, Narcissa will let you know what she thinks is going down, without any sugaring over, no matter how sensitive you are.

*SPOILED

Being the youngest daughter of Cygnus and Druella, Cissy has been incessantly spoiled. She always gets what she wants from her parents when she wants it. If someone does not give her what she wants, you can expect World War III to break out amongst them. Still young and fairly immature, this makes her prone to pouting and throwing hissy fits that aren't to be taken seriously. She mostly does it to get attention and make others feel bad.

*ICE QUEEN

As if it hasn't already been implied, Cissy is nowhere near warm hearted. She finds it all too easy to simply alienate a person she doesn't like, or someone she isn't supposed to like. She can easily disown someone she has just met and can at least act like she has disowned her friends or family if need be, though she seems to be one of the gentler members of the Black family.

*INSECURE

This is, of course, very selective. She is terrified that she will not marry into a good family, or that she will hate her husband. It is almost desperate when she has feelings for a boy - if he says so much as 'I love you,' she will be attached to him and give him whatever he wants, when he wants. Nevertheless, don't expect her to go into a public crying fit over a break-up - she will only insist she had no feelings in the first place and go right back to being on the prowl. Her insecurities extend to the Dark Lord as well. Narcissa will NEVER become a Death Eater. Voldemort secretly terrifies the youngest Black and she doesn't approve of his violent ways, even though she does want blood purity to take a precidence in the wiarding world.

*LOYAL

This might come as a surprise, but as much time as it takes to earn, Cissy's favor is worth it. She's very picky about who she chooses to give her loyalty to. Above anyone else, she is loyal to her family, and that rarely falters except in points of high stress or when it matters most. She is also fiercely loyal to her beliefs, the beliefs that her family instilled in her. What comes with this loyalty is her tendency to be defensive and she can usually pick a good fight when needed.

*MANIPULATIVE

Having two older sisters, she has become quite the expert at blackmail and taking advantage of people for her own gain, or, on occasion, the gain of her sisters or her family. She seems to pose no threat to some, but most are intimidated by the look she gets in her eyes and her family name. Make no mistakes - Narcissa's magical skills are in no way inferior to others, but she possesses more power in her looks and personality. She has a knack for coming off as so sweet that your teeth would rot.

*IMPROVISIONAL

Cissy is known for her improvisational skills: if someone is in a tight spot, she is quick to come up with something to distract the interrogator. Whether it be a spell mumbled under her breath or a barefaced lie, if she likes you, she'll help you. She's also particularly good at coming up with excuses for herself - more than likely, she will leave you to fend for yourself, even if you're a friend of hers. She easily defers the blame from her shoulders, but don't expect her to be just as quick about yours unless she knows the situation. If she feels the other is in the right, she will sit in stony silence and let the punishment happen.

*TEASE

Basically idolizing her older sister, Bella, Cissy tries her best to imitate how her sister does things, but she somehow manages to take a new spin on it. Where Bella is fueled by dominance, Narcissa's technique could be best described as demure, almost kitten like. She is the expert of the innocent, almost faked giggle, but it's almost as if she has attached a charm to it: any male within earhot will be lured to her. Did she charm it? She'll never tell. But as soon as things start getting too intimate, Cissy finds some excuse to make a quicky getaway, preferring to leave them wanting more.

*VAIN

Another one of her more dominant traits. She knows that she has been blessed with good genetics, and almost always has a mirror on her. Even without her knowing, she is always primping and adjusting something: running her hands through her hair, daintily brushing at her lips, catching a glance of herself in every mirror she can find. She always takes pride in knowing she looks good, but she does prefer to be comfortable while doing so. Given her incredibly sensitive skin (and sometimes fussy nature), this can be hard and costly, but she's willing to get her parents to pay the price.

*HISTORY: Narcissa Isidora Black was born on the fourth of December to Cygnus and Druella Black. She would be their third, and last, daughter. Cygnus had long given up the hope that he and his wife would have a son, so instead of the cold greeting her sisters had recieved, the blonde-haired and blue eyed baby was greeted by her father with some approval. There was no denying that, even as a newborn, the child would be gorgeous and would therefore be easy to marry into a wealthy and powerful family.

From the time she was born, Narcissa was treated with great care, being the spoiled little princess her mother had always wanted. Druella gave her youngest daughter the world. Cissy was thrust into the spotlight, constantly being reminded of how beautiful she was. People cooed and awed over the fair child.

She grew up alongside her two elder siblings, Bellatrix and Andromeda. The three Black daughters were taught from a young age the prejudiced and elitist thinking that their parents and society valued. Cissy adored her big sisters, always trying to imitate whatever they did. As they grew, she had Bella developed a close relationship, as Andy began slowly speaking out against the family.

At the age of seven, Cissy showed her first signs of magic, causing sparks to shoot from the tips of her fingers when she hadn't recieved the doll she wanted for her birthday. A short four years later she recieved her letter to Hogwarts and was ever so excited to be joining her sisters at school.

As of this year, she has been at Hogwarts five years and is known mostly by her social status. She easily made friends in the Slytherin house, if only because they all suck up to her. She gets average grades, usually better if she can threaten a teacher with a pink slip if they give her less. Experience with her family helped her become more attuned to people and their intentions- she can usually tell which house someone will be in before they are sorted just by the way they walk.

In the middle of the war, Narcissa has only been able to sit back and watch it happen. While others have tried to convince her into becoming a Death Eater, she skirts around the persuasion. Most are fine with it- even if most of the Blacks have become Death Eaters without question. She is loyal to her family, but seeing as she gets queasy at the sight of blood, she cannot and will not commit murder. She will be the driver, she will be a partner in crime, but she will not actually do any of the killing. Mostly, she worries more about her betrothal to the despicable Fenrir Greyback and her feelings for the boy her sister is most unfortunately destined to marry: Lucius Malfoy.

Narcissa had endured far worse insults than the one Bronwyn had thrown out a moment before. Though the girl was far from it, vapid was usually one of the words used to describe her. Cissy supposed this had something to do with the cascades of blonde hair that fell down her back. Being a blonde was seen by many as a sign of beauty but with a lack of intelligence or livliness. Cissy believed this was exactly the opposite. If people believed she was dull or stupid, she could work behind the scenes, pulling the strings without anyone suspecting her involvment. The youngest Black would certainly never get her hands dirty. While Narcissa wasn't the genius others claimed to be, the girl could hold her own in a classroom and was the center of any discussion taking place at a social function. She didn't need to be book smart, as long as she was well versed in the ways of the world.

Allowing small insults to affect her demeanor, or hurt her feelings was not worth her time. Sarcasm was her general way of responding to these, which she had just shown an example of. Growing up in the same household as Bellatrix, you learned to let the little things go and retalliate to only the major attacks. Andy and Bella were constandly fighting because neither of them was willing to let the small things go. Narcissa found that most of the time name calling and petty insults were just annoying and not worth her time. It was when you insulted her family, questioned her status, or tried to pull rank over her that Cissy's temper really flared. Being a Black gave her the right, it was as simple as that. If anyone tried to question that, they were quickly put back in their place.

Another infamous Slytherin smirk crossed her face when Bronwyn spoke. While the two girls hardly appeared to be any kind of threat at all, Cissy was confident they could be quite a challenge to anyone who was caught out of bed. "I wouldn't worry too much Bronwyn. While the competence of whoever partnered us is surely questionable, we are perfectly capable of handling ourselves." She hoped she wasn't putting too much confidence in Bronwyn. Cissy knew the girl was very smart and could probably be counted upon to do her part if it came to the use of magic, but it was in Narcissa's nature to never fully trust anyone that wasn't family, and even then one had to be cautious.

At Bronwyn's suggestion that they begin their evening down in the Dungeons, Narcissa merely shook her head yes and made to exit the Great Hall. It didn't matter to her where they began or ended.

dude, i'm accepting our first slytherin! -dances- so i love all the descriptions about cissy's personality, for it really gives insight to why narcissa can be cruel, although nowhere near the level of her sister bellatrix. i also love that you've highlighted her insecurities, for i've always imagined narcissa as ironically the least confident in who she is as a person. she knows what she wants, yes, but there are certain expectations that come with being a member of the black family (like affiliating with the dark lord), and she doesn't want to have to deal with that, which you've completely captured. so what am i rambling about? gah, i don't know - she's accepted, love. don't forget the claims and go get to plotting. welcome to the site, dear! <3
