It was her birthday and instead of being excited about the events that were going to unfold later that day, she was getting ready to give Matthew a piece of her mind. She was pissed and she couldn't believe that he had told their friends that they were sleeping together. They seemed to avoid one another all week and she didn't even hear from him about the movie evening they usually have on a Thursday night. Noemi sent Matt a text asking him to stop by her place Thursday morning, she had made so many mistakes this week and letting Matthew tell everyone that she was in his bed on occasions was one she wasn't comfortable with letting carry on. What else had he told them? She didn't even want to think too much about what Liam and Steven knew, it freaked her out they knew. This was suppose to be something with no complications, but it had definitely started getting complicated over the last few weeks.What with Matthew acting strange around her and kissing her a way that he shouldn't have, Noemi had, had enough and she was going to put an end to this once and for all. Even Dimitri had started getting suspicious lately and she really didn't need that, especially when she thought that there was nothing going on.Pacing her apartment Noemi finally heard a knock on her apartment door. Sighing, she slowly made her way to the door and she opened it to see Matthew standing there. She wasn't going to argue with him at her front door, so she just looked at him and stood to one side so he could step inside. Once he was inside, Noemi closed the door and then pushed past him, making her way into the lounge. "What the hell is up with you?" she started as she looked back at him. "You told Liam and Steven that we're sleeping together and Liam told Sianna, what happened to no complications Matt?" she scowled, she waited for him to jump in at any time, because right now, she was about to call time on their friendship.THANK YOU MAGGIE!

Matt wasn't actually in the mood to set foot outside his house today, he was so not in the mood to do anything but sitting in his house and on his couch and watch the final episode of Grey's Anatomy season six, he got it on dvd like a month ago but never got to watch the episodes until yesterday after he got home and decided to log on to his facebook to catch up on stuff and then he read what that Graham wrote on his facebook status and turned off his laptop fighting the urge to comment on the status or just call Noemi and demand some answers from her but he decided to ignore it or just ask questions after calming down a little so instead of calling Noemi or ending up driving to her house and kicking Graham outside her house himself, he just sat down on his couch and started his DVD and watched the whole season until now, he only slept for two hours and then woke-up and continued watching. He was on the final episode when Noemi texted him demanding his presence at her house.

He tossed his cellphone on the table with a heavy sigh and just continued watching the finale without any intention of texting Noemi back or actually go there. He didn't know why he was acting this way yeah he have this whole crush on her but it's up to Noemi to sleep with whoever she wants, he just didn't think that she'd even do it! why would she sleep with just any guy, he knew that Graham and Noemi weren't exactly an item, she never even mentioned liking him or anything of that sort so why did she choose Graham out of all guys to sleep with!

He finally decided to move his ass off of the couch and go to Noemi's house to see what she wants but before doing that he took a quick shower, got dressed, headed out of his house and drove off to Noemi's house. He parked his car in the parking lot and went straight to the elevator and went up to her apartment knocking on Noemi's front door. "Hey..." he said and entered her apartment as she stepped aside and closed the door between him, he could tell there was something wrong, neither one of them was smiling or arguing as soon as the sight of the other appeared. he just didn't know what wrong did he do until Noemi blurted out the words out of her mouth, he furrowed his eyebrows at her, "Oh that's what's up with you... You're upset because I told Liam and Steven about it..." He said raising his eyebrows at her, "Sorry did you want me to write it on Facebook instead like Graham did?" he scoffed furrowing his eyebrows at her, "I'm the one who complicated things by telling my friends who by the way didn't say anything about it to anyone but Graham uncomplicated things by mentioning that you two were fucking on facebook! I'm sorry but I don't see why you're angry at me now..." he scowled back at her.

What the fuck was wrong with him? She stood there in shock and she paced a little as she gathered her thoughts, she knew this was going to fucking happen. Yes, Graham was wrong for announcing that he was her temporary fuck buddy, but it had nothing to do with Matt! He could go and fuck whoever he wanted and she wouldn't care, that was the whole point of their agreement, it was nothing serious, yet here they were arguing about stuff that shouldn't even matter or shouldn't even be an issue."You are so fucking bitchy!" she laughed a little surprised at the way he was acting. "This, This has nothing to do with what happened with Graham!" she looked at him shaking her head. "You told our friends that we were sleeping together and that complicates things because then they'll start thinking that other things are going on!" she shook her head "Como você pode ser tão estúpido?!" Yep, she was pissed. She started ranting in portuguese. Noemi had a habit of switching between languages when she was annoyed, it was a trait that all of the Correia's seemed to have. It was sometimes useful for speaking to one another, without the likes of Chris knowing what they were saying. Plus, they could bitch about whoever they wanted. It was useful knowing three languages."O que diabos está errado com você?" she looked at him for a moment with her arms crossed defensively. She couldn't believe that he was acting like a god damn child. Didn't he know that Dimitri was already on her case assuming that there was something going on between them? She didn't need their friends on their back at least nobody would believe that there was really something going on between her and Graham, at least there it was just sex. But this, what was going on between Matthew and Noemi, suddenly didn't seem quite so simple. "You have no right to be pissed about what happened with Graham!" she pointed out and waited for him to throw a lot more crap her way. Jeez Matt was flipping out of his mind he knew that and he knew it was because Graham and Noemi slept together it was really driving him nuts because he could have avoided all the confusion if only he told her about how much he liked her back when they went out to the gala, he was going to tell her all about it but as usual chickened out because he thought that it would ruin their whole friendship but isn't this whole thing here and now ruining their friendship too? He really can't go on about her sleeping with someone and telling her why the hell she did it when they're just friends, yeah they slept together for a period of time but they never label the relationship and never even thought that it would turn out into something more than harmful fun and blowing off steam, Matt doesn't have the right to yell at her or tell her who to sleep with since that's what they agreed on when they made the decision to have a no strings attached relationship so why was he attaching those strings now?

"You bet I am..." he said calmly but still mad at her when obviously she had no idea why was he even mad at her! "This is not about Graham?!" he asked raising his eyebrows at her, to her it wasn't about Graham it was about telling Liam and Steven about them but to him it was actually about Graham and what they did. "Oh god Noemi. Liam found out by accident because he heard me talking to you about it and then I told Steven because I just did... Both of them didn't think that there's anything going on." Matt said and suddenly his angry look turned into questioning one when she started talking in Portuguese! Matthew just stood there with no hint of what she was saying, he had absolutely no idea if she was swearing at him or cursing her luck or what the deal exactly. "In english please! I don't happen to have the time to go on google translation right now." he said quirking up his eyebrow.

He was calming himself down waiting for her to stop switch into english and then she did and all the work he was doing at calming himself down was lost, "OH GOD NOEMI... are you for real???" he scoffed furrowing his eyebrows, "I have no right!!!! are you freaking serious right now... I have the right because I'm your friend and Graham isn't exactly the sweetest guy around here, why did you do it?"

Her mind was so confused, here they were fighting about two different things and both of them too stubborn to let the other get the upper hand. Noemi honestly had no idea that he liked her more than a friend, he had been nice lately, too nice for Noemi's liking which was partly why she had agreed to fuck Graham. Fuck that Google translation comment had really fucked her off. He was bitchier than most girls she had come across, she knew he could be like that but now? Really? He had to bring it out now? "Well you should have been more fucking careful around Liam, he's got the biggest fucking mouth ever and he told Sianna! Steven didn't even need to fucking know, this was suppose to stay between us!" she said as she rubbed her forehead, still baffled at how he couldn't understand why she was pissed at him for telling their friends about this shit.When he asked her why she did it Noemi walked towards him yelling, "Since when has my sex life been any of your fucking concern? You have no right what so ever! You're a friend! It's up to me what I do and who I do it with, that's what we agreed too and now you're complaining because I fucked someone else?" she shook her head. I don't care if Graham is sweet or whatever, it was just sex, get the fuck over it!" she told him before pushing past him and making her way to the kitchen to grab a glass of water to get rid of the pain in the back of her throat that all this fucking shouting was causing. It wasn't easy on Matt to just let go of the whole thing and pretend that Noemi didn't fuck someone else, sure they didn't have any kinda rules about anything that's what it means to have a no strings attached relationship but when he agreed to have a no strings attached thing with Noemi and made peace with that fact he didn't think that his emotions would get in the way of that and complicate their friendship and everything they have. He should've listened to his mind when it warned him that a friends with benefits relationship was no good; Matthew wasn't Liam or Austin or Dimitri, he wasn't the kinda guy who did those things and when he decided to go for it, do it and just have harmless fun here it comes biting him in the ass because of his stupid feelings.

In all honesty Matt wasn't sure why Noemi was angry at him for telling their friends about it, it wasn't like he was telling them the details of their intimate time and it just happened like that, Matt crossed his eyebrows at her accusing him of being a fucking bitch, "Honestly I don't know why you're fucking angry that i told them, it's not like any of them said anything about it or assumed things about us! and by the way why you're not to be so fucking mad about this, go scream at your new toy for saying that he fucked you on facebook..." Matt screamed back at her. Matt wasn't able at the moment of controlling his words or his rising temper and he was known for being so chill but this whole situation with Noemi was really pissing him off.

"It is one of my concerns... oh god..." Matt wasn't going to tell her that he liked her after everything that was going on right now, he didn't want to tell about his feelings at such a time when they're both just so fucking angry at each other. "And being your friend apparently means I can fuck you whenever I want but I can't ask questions about other guys you're fucking too? That's friendship? well excuse me I thought it was more than that I'm sorry... From now on you can fuck anyone you want but you have no right of telling me who to tell about our no strings attached thing then..." Matt scowled with a furrowed eyebrows. "You think that I'm jealous or I own you? is that how you see things here? if that's the case then I think we're wasting our time here if you think that it's just sex..." He said still angry but not shouting. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow once she told him to get out, well maybe it was for the best if he left, "Great. that's just so fucking great, you sleep with a jerk and it turns out that I'm the fucking bitch and I'm the one who can't be friends with you and on top of that you want me to go! well it is my fault anyway to think that there was something special between us and not just sex, I'm sorry... I'll leave you to Graham now..." Matt said in a calm serious voice, turning his back on her and walking towards the door.

She knew at the beginning of this agreement she had with Matt, that it was a bad idea. She honestly had no problems with it, but she knew that Matt was too sensitive for his own good, she just didn't want to believe that he'd go off on one like he was right now, about Graham. What Graham did was to be executed, he was a fucking moron and it was her own fault for fucking him in the first place. When it came to Matt however, he was her friend and she was scared that when he started telling people, things would become awkward and it didn't seem like she was wrong.When he said that her sex life was one of his concerns she shook her head, "Well it shouldn't be!" she scowled as she shopped into the kitchen. Hearing him speak again Noemi looked back at him and shot him a glare, "Oh, don't worry, you won't need to tell anyone about you fucking me, because that is definitely over! Now you have no right to worry about who I have sex with!" she said before looking out of the kitchen window. It hurt that they were fighting like this, but in her eyes he had no right to dictate who she could and couldn't have a sexual relationship with.Noemi frowned and crossed her arms, of course it was just sex between them, what else would it be? Matthew wasn't even sure of how the whole no strings attached relationship started out between the two of them, like one Thursday night they were watching a movie that he can't remember the name of at the moment and one thing simply led to another, they slept together and next thing they know they were sleeping with each other on other occasions and agreeing to the rules of not telling anyone and that it wouldn't complicate their friendship on the long run so he knew that it would come to this someday but he didn't know that he'd develop feelings for his best friend and would want something more, if he wasn't falling for her then sleeping with Graham wouldn't have been a problem for him but it was too late now to not care about who Noemi sleeps with and stuff!

Okay so maybe it was his fault for telling Liam and Steven about it but he didn't understand why was Noemi making such a big deal out of it, he told them and it just happened so why was she angry at him for telling their friends about it! "It's not that big of a deal Noemi, If I have to get the fuck over what you did then you should just get over the fact that I told them. You're making it such a big issue when it is not." Matt said gruffly as he also listened to her rambles about Graham having no brains. It was lost on him why did she fuck someone like Graham in the first place. "I don't wanna hear anything about Graham..." Matt said again. It was the wake-up call, this was Noemi she was simply telling him that she had no reason for fucking Graham but she did anyway and apparently he wasn't different eventually it was just sex to Noemi when it wasn't for him, it was his fault for believing that it would turn up to something good for the two because so far it wasn't. "You know what I'm sorry I told our friends and you're right it's over there's nothing to tell people about..." he said brusquely.

Matthew didn't even know what was he doing here at the moment, it was all wrong their fight, her sleeping with Graham and him over reacting to it, it was just a bad idea, not to mention that he almost blurted out that he liked her in a more than a friendly way just seconds ago when she was telling him that it was just sex to her. When Noemi walked past him again, facing him this time instead of running to the kitchen. What happened next was entirely Matthew on autopilot. Without thinking, without speaking, he walked forward towards her, his blue gaze locked on Noemi's disdainful eyes, pulling her in. Close. Close enough to kiss her full on the lips, hard and rough and passionately. "It was just sex no feelings before, but not anymore and don't ask me when exactly." He muttered, giving her lower lip a tug between his teeth as he pulled back waiting for her next attack now that she knew.

When he said that it wasn't a big deal Noemi shook her head, "If it's not a big deal, then it's not a big deal that I fucked Graham!" she said, knowing that it was a big deal to him. They were both too fucking stubborn to see the other persons point of view which was typical for Correia's anyway, but Matt? Matt wasn't giving up either so they were both slamming their heads against brick walls. "You know what I'm sorry I told our friends and you're right it's over there's nothing to tell people about...""I'm glad we finally agree on some-" Noemi stopped when he pulled her into him, and kissed her passionately. Noemi was taken back by him kissing her, she instinctively kissed him back, but when he broke the kiss and revealed that it wasn't just sex for him anymore, she looked at him as he pulled away, she ran through her mind what he had just said. Fuck, what could she say too that? She liked Matthew, he was a good friend, but the feelings he had would make everything complicated and Noemi didn't like dealing with complicated situations. She just stood there trying to think of something to say but nothing was coming to her. She used her crutches and hopped back into the lounge before flopping on to the sofa. Based on Noemi's thoughts of telling their friends because there's something more than just a friends with benefits relationship was totally true, if he knew her thoughts then he would've told her that it was right, he did in fact tell Liam about it the minute he started having those crazy feelings awakening inside of him, that's when he thought about telling Liam so his friend would make fun of it and remind him that Noemi was his friends but of course Liam didn't do that instead he knew that Matt was going to eventually fall harder for her and would complicate things. Matt wasn't usually so stubborn about things, but tonight he wanted her to see the mistake she did when she slept with Graham, he wanted her to admit that it was a mistake, she kinda did that but she also told him that it was just the same thing she was doing with Matt, that's why he was so stubborn tonight and not giving up.

She kissed him back! it was all that he could think about and fixate on, the fact that she kissed him back, he didn't want to let go so soon of her as he liked the feeling of her in his arms; there was no denying the pull that Noemi had on him it was a powerful thing that he didn't even realize how much he liked her until now, until he felt how near he was to losing her friendship and losing her all because of the harmless fun they agreed on once upon a time.

Noemi pulled away too soon for his liking and didn't say anything, it wasn't like Noemi to lose words and never know what to say. Mat figured that she'd get furious with him and throw him out but she didn't she just moved away sitting on the sofa. Was that a good thing? Matt wasn't if her reaction was a good one, he just stood there for a few seconds that felt like hours. There was no sense denying what she already knew about now. With a sigh, he came out with it. No warning, no preparation, no attempt to explain it away with 'Buts' and 'Althoughs'. It was just the truth, brutal and honest, "Yes, I have feelings for you Noemi that's why I was so pissed you slept with what's his name... I don't regret it either... If you don't want that then I don't know what I can do to change your mind or if you don't wanna see me ever again then that's what's gonna happen... I'm sorry for the complications I never wanted it to get down to that but it did..." He said without moving from his place because honestly he didn't know what to do at the moment.

It was early in the morning and her she was, being told that her best friend had feelings for her. Honestly, what do you say to that? One minute they were participating in harmless fun with nothing other than sex involved and the next she was being told that he had feelings for her. Her head was fucking spinning as she tried to process it all, it really was just one big mind fuck. What a birthday this was turning out to be and she had to face their friends for a night out, as far as Noemi knew Matt was going to be there too which would make things even more awkward if they didn't sort things out now.Noemi just stared straight ahead as she heard Matt confirm that he had feelings for her. She did know however whenever he kissed her she couldn't help but kiss her back and there was always flirting going on that they just played off as two friends being playful. This was so out of his comfort zone Matthew didn't want to blurt out the words of liking her like that amidst their argument and shouting but again this wasn't really a tv show where the circumstances always seems to work in favor of the one who'd say that he likes his friend more than just friends, it wasn't an episode of MTV's Friends zone where you take your friend out to tell her/him that you like them. Yeah this wasn't like this at all, it was reality and circumstances weren't good for Matthew tonight but he felt relieved saying this to Noemi, yeah he'd be super bumped if she doesn't feel the same but at least he told her that and got it out of his way, he didn't want her to feel like he was ambushing her because he wasn't doing that either, he simply admitted to liking her more than a friend and that's that! Matthew felt bad though because they picked today out of all days to admit his feelings to her and to fight with her about Graham and all that when it was supposed to be her day, when it was supposed to be the best day for her now he made it the worst he knew it.

He didn't expect her to know what to say at what he just threw at her, "I'm sorry Noemi. You don't have to say anything." he said calming down and back to his senses and self control. "Look I know you're confused... I am too... I didn't want this to happen, I know that it would make things awkward between us at least for a while but I didn't say that to force you into something that you're not sure of." he said walking forward to where she sat on the sofa but choose to sit on the other one and not next to her, it would definitely be awkward if he sat beside her on the same sofa to discuss what just happened.

"I didn't realize that it was this strong until I read what Graham wrote... Honestly Noemi in the beginning I thought that it was just a silly crush that would go away with time but it didn't... I'm still confused as to when this started exactly, when did I find out that I like you more than justa friend, I can't answer that because I don't know the answer myself, it just happened." He said furrowing his eyebrows. "I'm not expecting you to say anything about it now, take your time and whatever you decide I'll still be there for you Noemi."

It probably could have been avoided if she and Matt never started being intimate with one another, but it was too late to take that all back now. She felt like she was trapped, she had Matt throwing this at her and she honestly didn't know how she felt about him, he was her friend and any other thoughts or feelings she had felt when they were with one another, were pushed to the back of her mind. She didn't want to let anything to confuse things, but now she had to re-think things over. She had never been one for relationships because she knew it would probably end up being messy, especially if Dimitri found out.Hearing Matthew apologise, she listened to him as he carried on speaking as he moved on to another sofa. It was too awkward for them to be close to one another, especially at the moment. Noemi, really did have no words, so she was kind of glad as Matthew carried on talking, Noemi rubbed her forehead as he mentioned that he realised how strong his feelings for her when he read what Graham put up on Facebook. Noemi surprisingly didn't want to know when he started having feelings for her, that didn't worry her, she was still more concerned about him telling their friends. “Did you tell Liam and Steven that you had feelings for me?” she finally asked when Matt had finished talking. There was no way she could make a decision about them now, her mind was too messed up. They were all suppose to be going out for her birthday and she wondered whether they could still go as just friends this evening, or whether it would be too awkward. She'd definitely be in need of a few drinks later on. “I need time to think, I'm not sure how long, but I definitely need to think things over” she muttered.THANK YOU MAGGIE!

it's a bitter sweet symphony this life

Well I've never prayed, But tonight I'm on my knees, I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah. I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now. But the airwaves are clean and there's nobody singing to me now.

It was a lot to handle he knew it, and he knew that he probably shouldn't have said anything so that he won't ruin their friendship but honestly he couldn't live with himself if he didn't without asking the infamous question of What If. Yeah Matthew didn't want to say it like this to her but at least he got it out of his chest and now only have to deal with the consequences of what he just said. He'd only regret it if Noemi started getting weird and awkward around him, he didn't have a problem with her not wanting him to be more than just friends with her, he was okay with the fact yeah sure it's gonna hurt for a while and things would be shitty between them but eventually this crush would fade and he'll get back to his previous life but if things were to get weird between the two then he would've regret telling her, of course he wasn't a fortune teller to know what would happen but he wished that they'd be able to stay friends nevertheless.

It was good he kept on talking because he hated awkward silence. Matthew shook his head lightly at Noemi's question "Of course not, look I only told Liam and Steven that we had a friends with no benefits relationship that's it, I didn't go into details or mentioned anything about my feelings for you, I don't think I knew then that i liked you more." Matthew said shrugging his shoulders. He knew that Noemi wasn't going to make such a huge decision right this moment and he hated that he ruined her birthday for her, "Take all the time you need Noemi, I don't think I'll be joining you guys tonight..." he said his sapphire eyes meeting their blue encounters, "I think I'll sit this one out and give you the time you want to figure this out..." he said with a light smile on his face.

Noemi was actually quite flattered, Matt was sweet, but he was her best friend and she knew that if they dated and then broke up it would be awkward, especially if they couldn't remain friends. When Matt told her that he hadn't told Steven or Liam, she felt a sudden feeling of relief wash over her, she already knew that Dimitri was suspicious about him and that made Noemi wary. She had thought that maybe she had been the last to know about this, but thankfully she wasn't...or at least that's what Matt was telling her.When he said that he wouldn't be attending the party in the evening, she shook her head. "No, you have to come. The others will find it suspicious if you don't" she said, she really wasn't going to have to take no for an answer on this. "Please...just come?" she asked. "I won't be doing any thinking to night if Steven has his way, I already have a plan to out drink him" she smirked. She didn't feel angry anymore, she felt tired and slightly drained, especially after her mood had changed so quickly. Though she was use to her mood changing drastically, she never ended up being this calm with Dimi or Noor after a fight. "I think I need to sleep before I think about getting ready tonight" she said as she pushed herself off of the sofa with her crutches, trying to indicate that it was time for Matthew to go, without actually saying so.THANK YOU MAGGIE!
