♛ IF YOU ONLY KNEW , "Yeah dude, thanks." "Have a good night." "You too." He couldn't wait, you know. Couldn't wait until he got back to that couch before he dove in. His hand pressed firmly against the door, Phin gave it a nice shove with his shoulder and locked it. A pizza box in the grasp of his free hand while the sound of the locks echoed throughout their studio apartment. It wasn't anything fancy. Neither of them could afford it, even with Ally getting a steady paycheck and a steady business on Phin's side, but they did well with what they had. Actually, Ally did well. He liked things clean, but he had his limits and had absolutely no taste for design, no matter how much he'd protest that. It was all her area; if this place looked nice, it was because she'd done it. The paint, the furniture. He helped move it, helped pay for it, but it was hers. Everything was hers."Babe, Pizza!" he shouted, those white sneakers of his dragging across the bare floor beneath as he made his way back to the couch. He'd already opened the cardboard container and dipped his fingers inside, grabbing onto a slice that he'd already had half eaten by the time he'd finally sat down, in two bites. Today had been pretty busy. He didn't even wake up until about three in the afternoon and had customers pounding on his door to get what they needed before he sent them off just to have some time to himself. Well, to himself, his brother when ever the hell he'd get back from where Phin had no idea, the redhead who was responsible for the intoxicating scent and sound of streaming water and that new Stay Alive game he'd been waiting months to get his hands on.He sat down with a large thud, plopping his heavy, beast-like ass into the furniture and setting the pizza box down next to his growing mess. A mess that consisted of empty cans of energy drink, a joint waiting to be smoked, a couple twenty ounces of soda and a half eaten container of Black Forest cheesecake that Ally had got for him from the bakery down the street on her way home from work. Some days Phin could drive you insane with his bipolar OCD, but rarely did that ever pertain to gaming and everything that went with it. He was about to call out to his best one more time, but knew she'd only get at him. What was she supposed to do, come out there naked for a piece of pizza. I wont' lie, the thought alone had a smirk on his face, but he decided in the end it was better to let her be in her comfortable shower and just get past this level. That piece was gone before he knew it, and he found himself grabbing for another; taking a large bite with one hand while the other reached for the controller. He didn't even give himself a chance to breathe, before shoving it in his mouth and biting down on it so it would stay in place, as his fingers found their way to his jeans to be wiped clean and grabbed his control. He sat there, gnawing on that slice with no hands while his character that was fashioned much like himself made his way through the second floor of a mansion with a crow bar in one hand and a heart level at twenty six percent with a checkpoint only steps away. He'd spent the better part of his waking hours cursing and screaming at his forty two inch, but nothing had the intensity of his voice when the lights began to flicker and within seconds blacked completely out. "What?" his voice was barely audible, but it grew, as he realized. The power had gone out. "No, Nonono, punk ass mother fucker!"The entire room was dark, but before he could gather a proper reaction to anything other than he'd just lost his game a female voice let out a blood curdling scream that echoed all the way through their apartment. It didn't take but a second for him to hop up from that couch, trying to seek her out. Normally his speed would have been a blessing, but he'd been a little sloppy lately, and with his brother back, there were bags and just junk of Phin's in general laying on the floor, and just as he heard her voice again, there was a tight tug in his ankle and he went down. The strap from his Nike bag that was shoved up under the couch with his work out gear in it had somehow tipped his toe and glided over his shoe with just enough grip that it pulled him down. He hit his knee on the coffee table, a mouthful of cursing on his best day, before pulling his head up to look forward. No luck, though. It was still dark as shit and nothing was gonna change that. "They went out." He called out, reaching down and pulling the strap before standing to his feet. Now, Phin wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, but he wasn't as stupid as people gave him credit for. Unfortunately, they weren't wrong to believe he wasn't too far off from it, either. He put his hands out to feel where he was going, but for some reason didn't slow his pace much. And by the time he felt the wall, he'd already smacked his face into it. "You gotta be fuckin' kidding me." he grumbled, grabbing the bridge of his nose as the pain seared through, and from behind the wall there was a loud thud. Pressing his hand out, he felt around until the door grazed his finger tips and without thinking he reached down and grabbed the knob, giving it a small turn. "Allycat". He had to warn her. His luck, she'd be standing behind the door and he'd whip it open and break her. Instead he did it slowly, letting go of his face as soon as the warm air rushed his way. That undeniable scent hitting him harder than he had that wall, and walked straight toward the shower where the light from the window was shining in just enough to give that white shower curtain a soft glow to find it. "Did you fall?" He didn't need her to answer, he could feel the "Well, no shit." look fuming from her face, even there in the dark, but soon after her words followed. You'd think he'd be embarrassed or feel uncomfortable. Hell, even find a joke in it all, but he hadn't. All he could do was think he needed to get her out of there and make sure she was alright. By now, they'd known each other so well there wasn't much fuss when it came to clothes and lack thereof. At least, he thought they knew each other that well. Couldn't be right all of the time. Reaching out, he grabbed onto the towel where she normally placed it and dipped down in the shower. A pair of delicate arms quickly found themselves wrapping around his neck and with a strong arm he reached in and pulled her up and set her down long enough to wrap her up before grabbing her up one more time and carrying her out to where he'd just stumbled from. He didn't notice how careful he was. He wouldn't make that connection either, but on his way back he didn't trip once and they didn't slap into any walls. That protective nature he didn't carry with him without her shone through and they successfully found themselves in his bedroom. He'd hoped the moon would have given them a little light, but it wasn't much help. Making his way to the bed he set her down and looked around as if he knew what he was doing, before directing his attention back to her. "You okay?" He always seemed to be asking her this. Probably more than anyone he's ever in his entire life. "Did you hurt yourself?" his hand found her face and rested there for a moment, before falling down to her leg where it sat through her reply.

it's you, it's you,it's all for you, everything i do. i tell you all the time, heaven is a place on earth with you.”Alright, alright. Just a few more minutes.” The words were quiet, too quiet for Phin to hear from somewhere else in the other end of the apartment, as the redhead stood under the warm, steady stream of water coming from the shower head. No, they were just for her, because he knew well enough that she could hear his booming voice shouting from out there, and she’d be there when she was done. It had been a long day, like it always was after her long shifts, and there wasn’t a single muscle that didn’t ache from the strain of a hard day’s work. As much as she complained about her job, that she hated her boss, she hated dealing with the public, and while all that was true, it was better than sitting around at home. It made her stir crazy, being bored, and at least working kept her using her mind, which a lot of the time went to waste. Ally was smart, not many people gave her the credit that sometimes she deserved. She was humming under her breath. It was almost too relaxing to be in there, where it was the perfect temperature, which in Ally’s terms, was near scalding hot. It was almost winter in Miami, but even as a New York native, it was still too cold at this time of the year for her. That girl preferred to get around all year in a pair of shorts, but if she did that now, she’d freeze her ass off. This was the only way she could get comfortable after getting home, bring her body heat back after walking home in the bitter weather. Still, she wasn’t going to have it any other way. This place was her home, now. Phin was her home. He meant more to her than she’d ever been able to say, even beyond just being her best friend. He was kind of her soul mate. Her head was under the stream of water the first time the lights flickered. It was loud in her ears, so she didn’t hear her best yelling in the living room about her game shutting off. And under normal circumstances, she would have just laughed at him anyway. It was only a few seconds later when the rest of the power dimmed and went out, that Allyce actually noticed something was wrong. Reason being, the water shut off on her. God damn being in this place where the water was hooked up to the electricity. ”What the fuck.” Her voice was louder than before. Her soaking wet hair only clung to her face, and it took her a second to sweep the locks out of her eyesight, and blink them free of the water that had run over her face in the seconds before. And then she realised she was standing naked in the dark. ”What happened to the power?” Ally shouted into the darkness, before hearing a thud that meant it wasn’t just the bathroom that was in the dark. It was slippery, there in the shower, and she just wanted to get out of there and go find Phin, so that maybe they weren’t battling it out alone in the dark away from each other. As she went to turn around, just to open the shower curtain, she bumped the shampoo bottle she’d stupidly left sitting on the edge of the base of the shower, and it went sliding somewhere where her feet should have been. If the lights were on, it wouldn’t have been a big deal. She would have stepped over it and gone on her way, but now, in the dark, her eyesight was already compromised and even as she tried to avoid it, it ended up under her foot anyway. Before she knew it, she was heading onto the floor on her ass, taking the shower curtain with her as she landed there, and heard it rip half off. But it wasn’t before she banged her head right on the tap that controlled the hot water. The pain in the side of her head was instantaneous, just like the shriek was that escaped her lips and sent Phin into a panic. She could hear his heavy footsteps over the throbbing in her brain as he came to rescue her, so she stayed right where she was, sitting on the floor of the shower, even just so she could catch her breath and stop her heart pounding so loud after the excitement. Her name echoed from behind the door, letting her know where he was. Ally should have been embarrassed, needing to be rescued from the shower, but it wasn’t like he hadn’t ever seen her in all her glory before. Hell, even beside the fact that they were a lot closer than most friends were, when you lived with those two, it was just a part of a regular day. ”I’m here, Phin.” She responeded as the door creaked open, revealing a dark figure, big and beast like, but so familiar to her that in itself was enough to make her feel better. She should have known better, really. By now Ally knew her Phin well enough to know that he wouldn’t just help her up, he’d carry her damn ass out of there and make sure she was safe, no questions asked. And before she could get the words out to say that she was okay, she could walk, his hands were pulling the remaining shower curtain back and slipping under her tiny figure to hoist her up into his arms. By default, her damp arms wrapped gently around his shoulders, giving herself some support as he moved her from the shower and set her feet on the floor in front of the bathroom mirror, with no hesitation whatsoever about her current state of undress. Call her selfish, but she didn’t want to let him go as he stood her there and wrapped her bright red towel around her body. She didn’t even get a chance to say anything before he’d put his arm back under her legs and raised her into the air again. Ally didn’t need to see where they were going to know where he’d take her. they’d been living there long enough that she could have found her way in the dark, even with his brother’s stuff crowding the living room floor. This time though, there was no thudding along into the walls like he had before, as he carried her down the hallway. He wasn’t as clumsy or quick moving when he was carrying her, not that it happened often enough for her to notice the change in attitude. When her ass hit his bed, only a thin layer of towel in between the two, she couldn’t help but pull it tighter around her, and tuck it in under her arm to keep it from falling down. It was uncomfortable, being that wet, with her hair dripping down her back and leaving a cold trail of water on her skin that soaked in and made her shiver. ”I’m okay. I just hit my head, and I guess I’ll have a bruise on my ass soon.” His hand resting against her cheek gave her some relief to the ache in her head, as the concern in his voice was apparent. It always was, and the smile on her face stayed there through the darkness, as his hand drifted down to her leg and stayed there while he knelt in front of her, one of her own drifting down to keep it in place, just in case. ”Are you okay?” Ally did her best to study his face in the dark, while he was there in front of her. Under the dull shine of the moonlight streaming in from the window beside his bed, she could just make out the silhouette of his face in front of hers. She could just make out the outline of a slightly darker spot just above his lip, that may have just been a shadow playing tricks on her eyes, but she had to raise her hand to his cheek just to see anyway. Her damp hand pressed against his warm skin, as her thumb ran slowly across that area and came back with a heavier dampness that stayed stuck to the tip of her thumb, and smeared the shadow across his cheek. ”Babe, you’re bleeding. Did you hit your face?” She wiped her hand on her towel, while she stood up from the bed and felt her way over to Phin’s chest of drawers, where he kept most of his clothes. She knew where they were, most of the time, she did his laundry when she did her own. She wasn’t exactly a stranger to wearing them, either. His clothes were all three times too big on her tiny frame, and they always smelt like him, even after she’d just pulled them out of the wash. Still, it made her a little giddy every time she slipped one of his shirts over her head, and now was no different. That towel of hers dropped into a heap on the floor, as his shirt took its place on her body, and for now, it was enough to cover her until she could get his face cleaned up and go put some of her own on. ”Come on, I’ll clean you up.” Even when she couldn’t see exactly where he was, she could sense his figure standing not too far from her own as she stepped back over there in front of him. Her hands slipped easily into his, without needing any help to find them, and she tugged him towards the bedroom door. PHINEUS HUTCHINSON – POLYVORE -

♛ IF YOU ONLY KNEW , He didn't even realize that he was bleeding. Sure, the initial pain from slamming his nose up against the wall wasn't exactly easy to ignore, but had dulled tremendously in his mission to get to her and bring her back to his man-cave. It wasn't a shock to anyone when his primal nature shown through; that protective ape mentality that had most people pinpointing him as a dumb trouble making jock since before puberty. Still, the one thing that sent red flags through his ego was also that which he'd take pride in. Me Tarzan, you Jane. People tend to forget that Tarzan was the one who saved the damsel in distress, no matter how sharp her wit and tongue may be. They forget that he was a soft and kindhearted creature because his upbringing meant that standards by any man wasn't suitable; that in the end, against all odds, he'd risk his life and home for that one person of which he'd invested so much passion and friendship with, the one he was told he could never love because he wasn't good enough. Phin wasn't beyond all of that. He'd play it off a lot of the time, but it hurt just as much when people put him down or tried to dumb themselves down to get to his level of understanding. He wasn't an idiot, he just wasn't insanely brilliant. And people made it hard to accept that about himself, but at the same time, there they'd be calling on him when they needed him and even through the broken pride and hurt feelings over misjudgment, there he'd be. The wild man on a vine.It may have been a bit unorthodox to just scoop her up and take her back to his room without so much as a word, but that's all he knew. I guess he figured if she wanted down bad enough, she would'a told him. One thing about Ally was you didn't do anything she didn't like without her permission, and best friend or not, Phin was no stranger to that logic. Still, she had let him. Like many times before, she let him be her hero, even if only for a moment. "Let me see." his request was a bit winded, and tone that of a command more than anything, but she obliged. His hands placing on either side of her face and trying his hardest to see through the dark, but his sight was bad enough on a good day, so even though his heart was in the right place, it was the wrong one. "Need to find a flashlight." he said to himself, his voice barreling into his chest as he released her. His hand grazing from her skin into the damp air around them, just as a flash of lightening lit up the room for a split second. Phin stood there for a moment, waiting on that growling thunder and it didn't disappoint him when it finally came. His time away was short lived, though, as she had him pinned there. In a sense. She wasn't much to get off, but her strength was much stronger than just physical. Her hand kept to his and he couldn't bring himself to go too far. Before he knew it, he was back in her company with her reach now at his as she tried her hardest to find his gaze in the darkness. "I'm fine," never fully made it out as she grabbed onto him. He felt the warmth of her skin as those delicate fingers of her spread the now sticky mess across his cheek and the lightening struck again. This time at just the right time, lighting up the vibrant green in her eyes that he barely caught when she looked down and wiped his blood onto the matching towel she had wrapped around her. Her hair was wet, soaking. Every part of her was, even he. Her having been held up against his chest even for that small amount of time, had his white t-shirt sticking to his bare chest underneath. He hadn't actually noticed until she got up. Feeling her stand and leave him, his hand stayed planted lightly against the bed while he tried his best to make out her movements in the dark. He had an idea, but it wasn't until he heard her shuffling around in his drawers that he knew for sure. His hand quickly made it to his face, fingers pinching onto his lip and pulling the same sticky substance away as he rolled them together. Without thinking, his fingers went to the wet of his shirt and it wasn't until after he'd wiped it he'd remembered it was white. His face dropped, if ever he were to call himself stupid. Phin was very proud of his things. His clothes, his shoes. He wasn't high maintenance, not like you'd expect him to be, but he did take pride in the way he looked. And even with a decent cash flow coming in, buying new clothes that fit you when you looked like the runt of the Hulk's litter was a pain. His brows furrowed, grabbing the same spot on his shirt and gripping it inside his fist. It was already ruined, right? He'd prepared himself to take it off, but before he could get both hands up, he could feel the soft hand tugging away at him. Phin let go, reaching his hand out overhead to make sure he didn't smack his melon on the door frame again, as he followed her out wherever she needed to lead him. Anyone else, he probably would have said fuck it. Given up, searched for a flashlight that may or may not exist outside of his bedroom, or try it alone to ensure his own safety. Wasn't like that with Allyce. It never was.Phin gripped tighter. His hands such a dramatic difference in size to her own, he still managed to wrap it around comfortably as she held onto him. The living room was still dark. Even more so than his bedroom, if that was at all possible. He hated glare off his television screen, especially when he was gaming, so most of the windows in that room had been blocked off by thick curtains or furniture that could stand the point. Still, he followed. A thick thudding of his sneakers across the floor beneath until they'd made it to the kitchen - at least, he assumed that's where they were. You'd' think he'd know this place better, it being his second longest residency in his entire life, but no. Even with his eyes wide open, in the middle of the day, he was tripping over shit and almost walking into walls. What can I say? He's clumsy and his depth perception is for shit. "Said I was fine." he repeated, feeling that final tug that let him know to face her. He followed, reaching his hands out and resting them on her shoulders just to be sure, before dragging them down her arms and releasing once more. He wanted so badly to make a smart remark about checking her ass, but he hadn't. The feeling of his upper lip was distracting and immediately took his attention, as it sat there cool and began to crust. His hand reached up once more before falling and grabbing at his shirt, again. This time, successfully pulling it off. Well, almost. He felt hands against his skin that pushed him on his ass. "Just sit." her tone argued. It felt like a hard rush, the sense of falling as she lowered him, but he hit that bench easily and with proper haste. Dragging the rest of his shirt from atop his head, he rolled it up and pressed it against his nose. "You sure your head is okay?" with little fuss. Ally was probably one of the only people who could just push and pull him whenever she liked. He simply looked up at her with little effort. No use straining his eyes, he couldn't see her. Couldn't see anything.

it's you, it's you,it's all for you, everything i do. i tell you all the time, heaven is a place on earth with you.By the time they’d reached the kitchen, Ally’s eyes had adjusted to the darkness, though it seemed to only get worse as they trekked cautiously through the living room, made even darker by the thick curtains that even the lightening had trouble getting through. It was only getting worse, the weather outside, as the rain got heavier and the wind sent it hammering harder against the few windows they had. It wasn’t as noisy as you’d expect, except when the thunder hit and you’d swear it was like the world was ending. It was really no surprise that the power had been knocked out. This old building, the power was shoddy at the best of times. But still, it was home, and if she wasn’t living with someone that looked like her best friend, she might not have felt so safe within those four walls, but she did. He wouldn’t have known it, not that she ever said, but she liked to let him play her hero more than she needed to. A few moments would have been all she’d needed to get herself up off the shower floor, fumble around in the dark for a towel, and get herself to her bed; but she wasn’t going to pass up the fact that Phin was there to come to her rescue. It wasn’t like she wanted to take advantage of it, far from it; she just depended on him more than she’d care to admit. He was always saving her, but it was rarely physical; it wasn’t like Ally was ever in situations where she needed a knight in shining armour to fight off the bad guys and steal her away. It was more than that; this boy knew more about her than her own family, not that it was hard to achieve when all but her older brother could give two shits about her feelings. The thing about Phin was that everyone believed he was a thug, incapable of more than a grunt half the time. No one saw what Ally did; his huge heart, or the feelings he tried to hide especially when they were hurt. That he had feelings at all. To be honest, Ally didn’t want anyone else to see it, because then they’d want to steal him away from her, and she’ll be damned if she ever let that happen. She hadn’t yet found the nerve to tell him her true feelings; she loved him and she couldn’t live without him, but she wasn’t about to let someone else have him. Especially not someone who wouldn’t appreciate him. ”My head is fine.” She grumbled. At least in the dark, he couldn’t see her face twist up as the pounding in her skull got the better of her for a mere minute. When she’d finally got him seated, she fumbled around the edge of the counter, feeling her way toward the sink. The shine off the kitchen window she could see, now, even though everything outside was dark, there was that mark she could work off. Somewhere along the windowsill, there was a candle; a red one that hadn’t even been lit there and for the past six months, had just sat there for decoration. Ally couldn’t see it right now, but it was there, and she was a little smug, because, despite Phin’s protest that it looked stupid, she’d kept it there regardless, and now it would come in handy. In the meantime, though, her search for it meant knocking down everything that might have been in her way on the bench top. Ally hadn’t anticipated the lightening, until it lit up the sky again and gave her the lighting she needed to grab hold of it, and put it on the bench between her and Phin. ”Babe, gimme your lighter.” Her words may have sounded demanding, but her tone was anything but as she circled back around the bench to Phin until her thigh hit his knee, and she knew he was right in front of her. That candle lit up the immediate area around them, once he’d put his trusty orange bic in her hand and the flame had ignited the wick. The orange light sent shadows dancing across the roof and around the room, taunted under the strain of the little bit of air getting through the cracks in the window frame. It was only once the candle was lit that Ally noticed he’d removed his shirt. Not that she was complaining, but it was always a distraction, and she shouldn’t let it be, but sometimes she just didn’t even try. ”Don’t use that. I can get the stains out.” Her hand grabbed at the otherwise clean, white shirt he was using to press on his nose, and pulled it away from his face to drop onto the floor. ”Here.” Her other was already reaching for the hand towel that had been tossed onto the bench sometime earlier, and was still a little bit damp. ”Head back.” She was used to playing nurse, by now, even if of a day it was usually to the little, furry kind, and of a night to a much bigger, not so fluffy version. It didn’t bother her, so long as it wasn’t too bad. She hated seeing him or any of the others hurt; even if it was a nice thought when she was mad at one of them. Ally got comfortable standing there, somehow wedging her body in between his legs so she could lean against him. She tried to avoid his eyes as best she could, for no reason other than the intimate atmosphere; the candle light, and the near nakedness as well as their close proximity to each other left her with a stomach full of crazy butterflies. It was easy enough to avoid the red flush her cheeks would hold, so long as she didn’t look him in the eye while she was thinking about it.”I think it’s stopping.” Ally inspected his face, as she carefully pulled the small towel away from his nose, only to find the blood gushing had slowed down enough that she could stop now. It wasn’t hard to clean him up from then, as she adjusted the towel to a damper area and wiped his skin clear of the remains of the blood. ”You feel alright? You’re not gonna drop dead on me now, are ya?” Ally shot him a smile, as she finally raised her eyes to glance at his, much easier to make out under the dim lighting, just to find he was staring back at her. Her hand came to rest against his cheek, as she was reluctant to move from where she was standing. Yep, those butterflies were going nuts. PHINEUS HUTCHINSON – POLYVORE -
