HEY, YOU'RE TAKING ALL MY PAIN AWAYYOU'RE SHAKING LIKE AN EARTHQUAKEBeth walked down the sidewalk with Jack beside her, it was rather funny how they met. How many times had she been warned to not trust people online and yet, here she was with a guy she met via IM. After she closed the window, she realized that it was probably a bad idea. She had told him where she worked, had made plans to, obviously, see each other more than once but it was too late to take it back. Figured that she'd just have to see when she met him. There was always the back door of the Starbucks that was available to her if he creeped her out too much. Thankfully, when the time came, he was as charming as he had been on IM and definitely more attractive in person than he had been on his picture and honestly, that picture had been pretty damn hot. So can you say that she was breath-taken when he showed up at her cash. Elizabeth was far from a shy girl nor did she blush a lot but she had become speechless. It was a brief reaction, very brief but it had happened. Now walking, she sneaked a few peeks here and there at the seriously cute musician next to her. Beth sipped on her Caramel Frappuccino and turned her head completely in his direction. "So? What did I tell you? I really am a Master Barista, aren't I?" She laughed softly, shrugging the strap of her big purse higher up her shoulder. They were heading pretty much...anywhere. She didn't have a destination in mind, she was just walking. He was pleasant to talk to. Beth was a pretty confident girl, never usually felt awkward tensions with people she just met so she at complete ease right now. When she walked, she didn't move around people but instead, people moved around her so they were in the smack middle of the sidewalk and walked straight and included Jack in that little bubble of hers. well I don't look like they doand I don't love like they doooc:: I took your coding xDSo Jack himself wasn't known to just up and go see people he's met online, in fact he avoided that because it just wasn't good for him, considering his past and all, but honestly to him Beth seemed harmless, and when he had met her he was not disappointed. And instantly he could feel himself getting a bit attracted to her, she was after all a rather beautiful girl, scratch that. Woman. She was a rather beautiful woman, and he was sure he was not the only person who currently thought that. He was sure more than one boy had caught the red heads eye, and if not he'd be surprised. Jack was happy he had decided to break out of that paranoid mold he had awhile back, if not he would of never met Beth. He liked her, and she was nice and somewhat of a breathe of fresh air he hadn't been doing good with girls let alone people really, though he had to admit he was ten times better than he had been prior to now. He was back toward his usual self. He had even started playing gigs again, which was something he was glad he was doing again he had missed it.As they walked down the sidewalk, his body shifting as people walked by him. He turned his head to look at her as she talked and he smiled. "You are in fact the best little barista I have ever had the pleasure of meeting" he said with a grin as he walked next to her, one hand holding his own coffee the other shoved into the pocket of his jeans.Jack had had his moments as far as being confident, he used to be super confident, and was always up and going but lately he had been so much more mellow and laid back, which was something he was getting used to.As they continued to walk Jack noticed there was no real destination, so he figured maybe it was time to set one? He turned his head to her "so I think instead of walking aimlessly for who knows how long, we head to someplace." He moved a bit as he walked, his hand moving from the pocket of his jeans. "How about we go to a record store, or the mall or something?"NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

HEY, YOU'RE TAKING ALL MY PAIN AWAYYOU'RE SHAKING LIKE AN EARTHQUAKEOOC: Hehehe, it’s fine :DD it’s nice, huh? "Little?! I am not little!" She huffed as a tease, eyes back in front of her with the slightest smirk on her lips. "I happen to be 5"3 which is very tall, okay?" Beth was having a hard time not laughing because she knew she was short, she knew that he was right but she had it in her to try and deny it. "I happen to be of average height." She informed him, flipping her hair over her shoulder like a little feisty drama queen. Yes, she did have the potential of being just that but honestly, she really was a sweetheart. It was kind of a mix between a lot of different traits of personalities. It made her who she was and you either liked it or didn't. Personally, she didn't care if you did or not. Well, that's what she let show, at least. Beth sipped on her Frap when he suggested a destination and hummed in thought. "Well..." Where could they go? What did she need? Hmmm, that was the question. She hated window shopping, it was so annoying! It was a total tease, like serious tease. So before answering him, she thought about what she could find in these stores, what she could buy and what she needed. "Ah! Yes!" She stopped abruptly and grabbed his upper arm to stop him. It was bare and very firm, not bad. Not bad at all. She could only guess his instruments were the cause of those well shaped arms. Ooo-kay, that distracted her for a moment. Back to reality, Zo! She never, ever introduced herself as Zoe. People never knew her middle name unless it just happened to be in the conversation. The only person that ever called her Zoe was Logan...and herself when she talked to herself. Oh boy, that sounded odd but it was true. "I need to buy the new Maroon 5 album so we could definitely go to the record store!" She beamed, not minding that they were probably in the way of many people trying to walk. With a bounce, she let go of his arm and began walking again. "Maybe you can introduce me to good bands at the same time, Mr. Musician." She suggested with a over the shoulder grin to him.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

well I don't look like they doand I don't love like they doooc:: It is nice, and I was just too lazy to make my own or go looking for one that I actually like haha BUT YES nice none the less (:Jack let out a chuckle "okay okay you aren't little" he said with a sheepish grin, though compared to him Beth was actually rather short. With his height being a towering 6'0" and her little frame being only 5'3" he was practically if not almost an entire foot taller than her. Not that he had any issues with it, he found it actually rather adorable. At her mention of average height he let out a chuckle "average height... right I'll keep that in mind" he said his laugh subsiding once more. Her feisty nature was similar to that of Alex's maybe not as blunt but it was there, and it was somewhat kind of relaxing for Jack as odd as that was. He himself was usually a rather rambunctious person so finding someone of that same demeanor make it better for him. And Jack had no doubt in his head that Beth had a sweet side, even the most closed off and darkest of people have a sweet side. It just takes a certain thing or person to bring it out to it's full potential. Jack continued drinking his own coffee, before letting it drop into a trash can as they passed one. He turned when he felt her grab his arm, and he looked down toward her as she began to talk once more. He smiled lightly at how enthusiastic she seemed about it. So when she agreed to his idea of heading to the record store he smiled. "Great" he said as he moved to pull her away from a group of people that were currently heading down toward where they were. When they had passed he let go of her arm to listen to her talk. "Maroon 5... didn't know they had a new album" he said as he made a Hmmm face before it faded and he looked back to her. "Oh I have wonderful taste, you won't be disappointed" he said with a grin as he moved and walked off with her toward the record store.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

HEY, YOU'RE TAKING ALL MY PAIN AWAYYOU'RE SHAKING LIKE AN EARTHQUAKEYes, she did have to look up at him when she spoke. It hurt her neck a little but she wasn’t short. He was the tall one! She was normal. “As you should.” Beth nodded with a soft laugh. Yes, he should. She was of average height. It said in books, on the internet and the doctor told her too. That was enough rambling about her height, even if it was an internal ramble. She knew she was right and that was it. Besides, it was supposed to be playful; nothing more, nothing less. She wasn’t looking to start a fight, no way. She avoided fights because most of the times, feelings were involved in those and Beth stayed far away from those. When he pulled her out of the way, she began to protest. “H-” But then she gave in...sort of. “We weren’t in the way!” She told Jack with a light frown. The people could have walked around them, it was no big deal. Ugh, whatever. She was on the side now, out of the world’s way. Nodding a lot, she grinned. “Yes, it came out on June 26th! I should have bought it forever ago but I never really had the time.” Beth admitted with a small pout. She should have gone on the 26th, should have bought it on her Ipod but she wanted the actual CD. “You better, Mr. Musician.” She threatened him teasingly with a big grin. With her little legs, she rushed after him. God, he could walk fast. “Slow down! Each step you take equals two of my steps.” Fuck, there was her reminder of how small she was.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

well I don't look like they doand I don't love like they doJack knew he was tall, and honestly he had no issue with this. He liked being tall. For him being taller came with a much bigger advantage on people. It was nice knowing he had the upper hand or at least thought he had the upper hand. Jack smiled and shook his head toward her lightly. "Alright average. I apologize." He said with a grin before moving so he was walking once more next to her. He shook his head slightly and smiled still, her little fights to him weren't fights or even little arguments they were oddly kind of cute. When Jack pulled her out of the way he looked to the person that was complaining. He sighed and shook his head before looking back to her. "Try telling them that. People have no respect for anyone now and days" he hollered slightly loud enough that the person could hear him. As the person turned around Jack smiled a smug smile and waved at them before he turned back to Beth and headed off with her. As she mentioned the album he nodded "well no offence, but I was never really a Maroon 5 fan so probably no surprise that I've know clue when they release one" he said with a soft laugh. He looked to her and smiled lightly down at her, "well I'll hopefully not disappoint."He stopped and looked to her as she began to talk about him walking to fast. He slowed down and looked to her "sorry.." he paused "if you want I can carry you on my back" he said with a smile.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

HEY, YOU'RE TAKING ALL MY PAIN AWAYYOU'RE SHAKING LIKE AN EARTHQUAKEBeth huffed when he talked about people having no respect and eyed the lovely, please note the sarcasm, person to whom Jack was really speaking to. “Oh, I would gladly go up and tell them first hand but I have a feeling you’d stop me before I had the chance to do so.” She looked up at him with a shake of her head, the smallest smirk playing at the tip of her lips. She really would do it; there was no doubt about that. Beth wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She never had been but before Boston, she had been more reserved, she had been sweeter and kinder but now, after everything, she was more direct. She had no choice to be. “Ah, everyone should be a Maroon 5 fan or should at least enjoy a song or two.” According to her, their music was therapy. It made her happy when she was upset; it calmed her down and let her ease into her own little world. It was pretty fantastic. “Adam Levine’s voice is like an orgasm to your ears.” Hell yes it was. That man, she adored him. With a chuckle, she nodded. “Indeed, you better not disappoint because if you do...I’ll walk straight out and you’re never, ever going to get a free coffee from Starbucks.” Bent teased, sipping more onto her Frap. It was so good, one of the best thing they made at Starbucks, in her opinion.Beth hummed in thought, tapping her index on her lips. “Tempting.” She admitted with a smile playing on her lips. She would never say no to something like that. He was offering her a ride, she wouldn’t have to rush to keep up and Jack was a total cutie. Fine, I accept your proposal.” She grinned and made her way behind him. [B] “Catch me.” [/B} She told him, hands put on his shoulders before giving herself a boost. Beth jumped onto him, holding tight onto his shoulders.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

well I don't look like they doand I don't love like they doJack laughed lightly toward her as she too began to talk about the rude ass that bumped into them. Finding someone that wasn't afraid to say something like him was nice, though the last person he had in his life that was like that was Alex and though she was still there they hadn't actually done anything except talk once or twice. Though that put a damper on him he knew the reasons behind it, and he didn't want to interfere. He could feel himself moving on from it, and even though he still liked her he was getting better at finally just letting it go, and understanding that she might of never thought she wanted him in a way that he wanted her. It had taken him awhile to figure it out but he knew now. And he was going to try his best to move on and try to find a way to just be himself and not deal with romantic feelings. It had been awhile since he just focused on himself, and he noticed he was much better on his own anyway. Though having Beth around was a nice change.Jack looked at her "not everyone" he said and laughed lightly. "Maroon 5 is good, I give them that, but it takes awhile for me to get into anything sometimes" he said as he walked next to her. He looked to her as she mentioned Adam Levine's voice and he smiled "you obviously haven't heard mine then" he said with a grin. At her next words he laughed softly. "Promise no disappointments." He said nodding his head. He watched her as thought about his offer. He smiled lightly as she thought, and when she had finished he looked ot her and he smiled. "Alright" he said and moved and finished his coffee quickly and placed it into the trash can near them. When he was done he moved and stood in place and waited. When she hoisted herself up and got situated, he moved and put his forearms just under her legs before saying "we good?" Once he got the acknowledgement that she was, he began to walk onward toward the record store.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

HEY, YOU'RE TAKING ALL MY PAIN AWAYYOU'RE SHAKING LIKE AN EARTHQUAKEBeth thought for a moment and sighed, "Fine, not everyone but they should." She said with a growing smile. She was a stubborn one and she truly believed that everyone should have good taste in music like she did. Although, it was probably not the best out there, she believed that. It wasn't anything insistantly annoying but it was in her playfulness. "What do you listen to, then?" She asked, actually curious about his tates in music. If she were to guess, just looking at him, it'd be something more like punk-rock or maybe something more classic. Classic rock, she meant. But then again, what did she know? She knew he was a musician, that he played basically every instrument but that was about it. "You think you can beat the the Adam Effect? Side affects including major swooning, lip biting, heart palpitations and hormone rush?" She said with a growing grin. Maybe she was exaggerating a little but it didn't matter. She was having fun right now and that was all that mattered."Good because I do enjoy giving free coffees to strangers I met on the internet." Beth laughed, realizing once more how their meeting was completely out of the ordinary. Well, not really, not anymore but once upon a time, meeting people from the internet was something you just didn't do. Now, it was getting a little better but maybe not people you met the previous night. It was a little creepy, thank goodness it didn't turn out so bad. She was actually glad she did. Jack was fun and she truly did enjoy his company.Beth was grinning once she was up on his back, wrapping her arms casually around his neck. She was being careful so she didn't strangle him while trying to not have her arms too loose just in case she were to fall. "Holy crap, you're so tall." Zoe commented on the way he got to view the world. It was so different than her 5"3 life. "I'm so jealous, you can see everything!" You never realized how much you missed out on when you were so short but now, she did. This was totally cool. "Go, go, go!" She wiggled her legs a bit, ready to get to the store and experience speed on this bad boy.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

well I don't look like they doand I don't love like they doJack moved as he walked, his arms still linked with her legs to keep her atop of his back and steady so she didn't follow, or he lose grip on her. "I listen to a bunch of different things.... I have no like set taste" he said as he continued on down the sidewalk. He let out a chuckle as he looked to her using his eyes "oh I know I can beat the Adam effect." He said with a cheeky grin. "I've had girls jump on stage and kiss me randomly" of course not such a good memory to bring up for himself, since that was when he was dating Alex and everything that night had turned into a big giant mess. But the past was the past, and though it had taken him forever he had finally moved on, or attempting to move on. Alex was with Justin, he had to at least be happy for her and in someway he was. Another way he was still upset, but sooner or later it would be okay. But that was an entirely different story all together. He smiled "well I don't have to be a stranger anymore" he said as he continued on. "And you can give free coffee to your friend." He said with the same smile on his face. At her comment about hsi height Jack couldn't help but laugh "I told you I was tall. 6'0" is tall you know" he said and smiled lightly. He let out another laugh "well now you can see whatever I am seeing." He said and continued toward th store. When they finally reached it, he slowly let her down and moved to pull the door open for her.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

HEY, YOU'RE TAKING ALL MY PAIN AWAYYOU'RE SHAKING LIKE AN EARTHQUAKE “Then what’s your band’s music type?” She asked, he had to have a set kind of music for his band then, right? It only made sense. Unless, he was all over the place with that too. Jack went all…she didn’t know what the word was but he got her to be a little blushy and stuff. It was so random and well, not expected but she could see how he would probably have sort of the Adam effect on girls. But she would deny it. “I won’t believe it until I see it.” She said proudly. When he mentioned the girls, it only made her raise her eyebrows. She knew sort of about that…when she worked at the strip club. Yeeeeah, she hadn’t minded working there for a while but for some reason, she didn’t really want Jack to know that. “Friends, huh?” She smiled though he couldn’t see it and began thinking about that. Jack was a cool guy, he was good looking and he was funny. Why not? She didn’t have to get too close to him but a friend didn’t sound too bad. “Alright, I guess we just evolved to the next level; friends, it is.” She said, happily. That wasn’t bad at all. New friends. Usually, it was always a little awkward but so far, she had gotten along perfectly with this internet hunk. It felt like she had known him for quite a while, much longer than just a day. And that was rare for Beth. With a sigh, she pouted. “Stop showing off.” She knew she was short, he was tall and he was purposely bragging because she had expressed her jealousy on the matter. Nonetheless, it was funny. She didn’t really mind but hey, they were just playing so why not? “Only temporarily.” She replied to that. Just until he put her down and that was much faster than she expected. “Already?” She complained once he put her down. The world sucked from her height but oh well. Elizabeth walked into the store and looked from side to side. Where would her CD be? Aha! “Come on!” She took off and jogged to the M section. M-Ma-Mar…Maroon 5.” She grinned and took out her CD. That’s what she was talking about. She’d be listening to this music until she couldn’t stand it anymore. Like that’d be possible. NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0
