If they truly love each other, just let them be. You can't force Homosexuals to love the ones they dont actually love.

Dude, don't you know how fast Aids spreads that way? Even if you let them be whatever they want, the gay men will try to do it with younger boys, infecting them in the process.

Marraige itself is a religious bond of two people of the opposite sex.

Notice the word, RELIGIOUS. Now, I'm not big on religion, but, I know that the Bible views homosexuality as being wrong. So, why do they need to get married? Does it make anything that big of a difference?

A better question though is, who the hell cares?

Even though The Bible might reffer to it as being wrong it technically is not wrong because it doesn't effect anybody badly in any way.

I just have to say that i live in san francisco and that affects my opinion...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with gay marriages, Marriage is the union of two people, not necessarily a man and a woman, if it makes them happy then two people should be able to marry whoever he/she wants, are you going to take away the happiness of two people because of some religious beliefs(thats basically all that the opposition is, religious people... well, that and people who are homophobic) What if i told you that you can never use any piece of technology again, because its against my religious beliefs(and your not amish, which your using a computer so i know that your not) would you listen even though you dont believe what i believe? of course not... unless you decided you want to be amish...

Why am i making fun of amish people? I dont have anything against them.... Hmmm....

Another note: Homosexuality isn't a chosen decision, despite common belief. A person's sexuality is determined before they are even born. Therefore, it would be entirely wrong to deny them any rights held by heteosexuals. You can't persecute someone for something that is out of their control. You might as well hate them because they have green eyes or laugh with a snort.

Plus, who's it hurting? Not a damn person.

A misguided view. Two things, besides the above:

-AIDS doesn't spread faster between men than it does between men and women.
-Homosexuality isn't pedophilia. The percentage of the gay population that sexually abuse minors is likely comparable to that of the normal population.

There is nothing wrong w/ it. People gaisnt it say it "offends" them. Well what about the ggay people who want to be married? Id think thye'd be offended if they cant marry someone they truely love. Any person who passes a low banning is an ignorrant, close-minded fool.

So? Other forum, other people! Tons of forums have the same topics. emote14.gif

To get on topic. I am not against gays, I'm not against gay marriage at all. I think gay is just another interesting fact of the human being. I'm not religious, so I also don't have any religious points against it. And why should religion be against gays? That doesn't make sense. I think there are enough gays who are religious.

And about the bible. The bible is old, I suppose.... around 1000 years old if not more. And if I remember correctly we now live in 2006, a completly other period of time, with completly different views and opinions about our society. I mean, society has changed so much in the last 50 years, it's just unbelievable. And don't go telling me there weren't any gays hundreds and thousands years ago. Also I think there are more regular men who'll rape little kids then gays would do.

So yeah, I think 'gay' is just another addition to the beauty of our society (well beauty, ahum). And with that belongs gay marriages as well. Which I am perfectly fine with. I would be equally happy with a gay marriage then a straight marriage.
