Keeping the same name and appearance but "oh, it's not the same character" is STEALING and Evil Girls Shine WILL NOT TOLERATE IT. I do not care if the stealing is on a different site, if one of our members has something stolen from them without credit given, it will have retribution.

You may think that this has nothing to do with this site, but Evil Girls Shine is about creativity and DOES NOT support taking another person's character on ANY site. Just like it does not support taking any emticons or graphics, which is why the site has a disclaimer letting people know we didn't claim this stuff as our own. That is wrong.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE A CHARACTER, AN IDEA OR A GRAPHIC, GIVE CREDIT OR YOU WILL BE SUSPENDED with or w/o WARNING, depending on the situation. (If for example, you did not know you had taken something)

Remember, it is not creativity if it isjust a copy. If you want a character to look exactly like another's but with a different name or personality, that is okay. But still give credit.

Take this announcement as your warnings and START GIVING CREDIT! THIS INCLUDES IN YOUR SIGNATURES AND AVATARS AND APPLIES TO EVERYONE! Something as simple as telling where the pic or info, etc. came from is enough.

I have seen a lot of avatars and siggys lately with deviantArt pics taken. This is just as bad-- give proper credit or do not use it all. Give credit to the exact artist or at least the site if the artist is unknown.

Do not run someone's hard work into two minutes of copy and paste.
