Holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give.

Amara was not a first date kind of girl. To be perfectly honest she wasn't the type to go on dates. If she liked someone it was usually just for their looks and se usually just offered to buy them a coffee or a drink or whatever was being offered at the place she'd met the girl at. But it always seemed that the girls she met never seemed to hold her interest for anything more than the hour or so it took for them to have a drink and chat. There was never anything fun about them. Never anything that stood out and so Amara always moved on and was never truly interested. It seemed though her more or less solitary life wasn't going over well with some of her friends. They had wanted her to meet someone. To talk to someone and get to know them and get herself a girlfriend and settle down. She just had a feeling they were hoping she'd settle down if she met a girl. She'd stop racing, she'd pick a life path and maybe do something. Amara kind of hoped that never happened to her.

So far she'd only had a few quick texts back and forth with the girl named Michelle Roux. She had yet to see the girls' face and with the way everyone was talking about her she was almost worried the girl would not be that attractive at all. Everyone just kept saying how nice she was, how lovely she was and so on and so forth. Everyone said she was beautiful but of course she wasn't quite sure how much she could trust everyone. After the few texts back and forth they were meeting at a traditional Italian restaurant for dinner tonight. Now it was time to think about what to wear. This was one of the most important things about the date. She had to look good after all for first impressions.

Going through her closet she wasn’t sure what she wanted. Did she want to go more boyish, more girlie, god what. Rummaging through her closet she picked up a nice shirt and a pair of shorts. They were girls clothes in a boys style. That was perfect. Pulling the outfit on she went to her dresser and grabbed a necklace that hung lightly against her neck. She finished it off with a belt and a pair of shades and she was ready to walk to the Piazza.

The walk was short, only fifteen minutes or so and she already seemed a little nervous. This was odd for her. She wasn't used to being nervous and though it didn't show on her face, she could just feel it in her stomach. Her nervousness. Walking into the restaurant, Toscana, she mentioned her reservation for two and was ushered to a little table. Now it was just time to wait until Michelle got here and of course try not to look too nervous.

wake me up
I know I've always been shit at computer games Because your brother always beats me And if I lost I go across and chuck all the controllers at the TV And then you laugh at me And be asking me If I'm gonna be home next week And then you lie with me till I fall asleep And flutter eye lash on my cheek between the sheets And you will never know Just how beautiful you are to me But maybe I'm just in love When you wake me up Cause maybe you're lovable Maybe you're my snowflake And your eyes turn from green to grey And in the winter I'll hold you in a cold place And you should never cut your hair Cause I love the way you flick it off your shoulder
YOUR Michelle’s schedule filled fast and most of the time relationships were hardly on her mind. While it what admirable to see couples walking around and loving each other in the light of the noon day sun, she wasn’t capable of that in her time frame. It seemed like she had time but with the orchestra and living on her own it was a bit harder. She barely had time for herself and yet somehow managed to keep things classy. Lately she found herself surrounded by business and patronages. She needed to speak with her father, who was now pushing her into these businesses and the fact that she didn’t want to go to work in an office was burdening her. Girls were the farthest thing from her mind. She had dated men in her life and that didn’t satisfy her, she was just attracted to women. Her parents didn’t seem to mind, they were relatively accepting. France, however, was not, or at least the men in France were not. She didn’t care though, her passion was music and she was focusing on that. She was hoping that one day after the crowds at the concerts slowed she would be able to retire the strings on her violin and place it in the case. She would have a family, adopt some kids perhaps. She wasn’t one for slowing down though and she always kept the crowds coming, whether by her violin or the artwork she produced.

Darien, a friend of Serena’s, told her about his friend, Amara. He said she was quite a catch and rather much like him. Michelle always liked Darien’s demeanor but wasn’t attracted to him on a deeper level. She was intrigued by this Amara Kennedy. Not asking many questions, she agreed to exchange the phone numbers and had texted her couple of times. She was reassured she would not be disappointed by Amara. She had heard promising things that Michelle liked to hear. The way Darien made her sound was definitely like a guy, which was a good check because Michelle was definitely feminine. She was a classy, violinist, and someone who was fairly good with office work and negotiations. She was skeptical though, seeing as Michelle did not like wasting time with people who bored her. She wasn’t afraid of tonight’s encounter, she was more than happy enough to attend for her friend’s sake. She wasn’t going to deny the girl a date. It was a mutual agreement; Michelle’s curiosity got the best of her.

Michelle walked the blocks from the auditorium to her small, quaint household in the nice part of the city. She was happy to have gotten away from parliament and all the shuffle of government, even if she was sort of like the ambassador of France while she was here. She looked over at the time and smiled, it was just about time to get going. She looked into her mirror and checked herself over. No sense in changing with so little time. She liked her outfit, but decided to pull the clip from her bun and let it fall down around her shoulders. The soft wave that went through her brunette lochs completed this pink-champagne dress. On her way out from a coat hook she grabbed her gray, cotton coat. She slipped it over her body and on her way out started to button it up. Deciding to walk since she was only a block from the Piazza, she started on her way. Her heels on the cobblestone were a nice beat with the soft clang of her bracelets.

Standing in front of the restaurant, Toscana, she looked around and headed inside. Her walk was elegant; her slender legs strode long and easy in the heels. She looked around and mentioned the name of the reservation. The man nodded, greeted her with great admiration and showed her toward the back to a small table for two. The woman sitting on the far end was beautiful, with blond hair and a simple wardrobe. She suddenly felt overdressed for the occasion but she saw no reason before to change from the rehearsal with the orchestra. She assured the man she could make it from where they were and on her way unbuttoned her jacket. ” Hello, you must be Ms. Kennedy, I presume?” Her voice was so calm and serene, like the waves of the ocean. Her deep marine eyes were locked on Amara, but her hands rested her jacket around the chair, which she had pulled out for herself. She sat down, gently placing her hands on top of each other upon the table top. ” I’m sorry I’m running a little late, I was held at my rehearsal a bit longer than expected.” Her satin lips turned up into tranquil smile.

Holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give.

It wasn't that Amara had thought the girl would stand her up, she had just through that it was getting a bit late. She had glanced at her watch once and realized she was ten minutes of so late. That wasn't so bad was it? It certainly wasn't anything to freak out about. Instead of taking anything too much to heart she simply sat back in her chair even resting one arm against the back of it so it was more like she was lounging. Her hazel green eyes seemed to take in everything stopping and picking up on everyone for just a moment before moving on. Nothing seemed to be holding her attention. Nothing seemed exciting enough. She was just about to take another gaze around the restaurant when the door opened and someone actually interesting walked in. She was a stunning woman in a beautiful jacket. The dress must have been short because she couldn't see the hem of it from underneath the jacket. Interesting. She sat up a little straight taking in the girl appearance. Her dark hair, her blue eyes, she was beautiful. Now this could turn out interesting if Michelle didn't show up. She wondered if she'd been seen as a scoundrel for talking to another woman when she was supposed to on a date with one. She certainly didn't think so. Especially not one this beautiful, this intriguing. As soon as she walked in the door it was like all eyes were on her, she was calm and collected her head up straight. There was just something about her and the way she screamed class.

Amara was so caught up in watching her, the way the woman moved in those heels, the slight sway of her hips Michelle got only a few steps from her before she realized almost in stunned awe and maybe a little horror that this was her date. This was the girl she had been acting so blasé about? This was the girl who was so nice. They could have told her she was drop dead beautiful, stunning, amazing. For a moment she simple watched as Michelle unbuttoned her jacket letting it reveal the pink dress underneath with hints of black and a strappy top that seemed to accent her more than wonderful curves. It took her a second to realize the girl had even spoken to her. "Uh... yeah that's me." Smile idiot, she told herself finally letting her lips curve upwards into a smile as Michelle sat down across from her. Should have pulled out the seat for her, she said scolding herself but managing somehow to keep her smile in place.

Every time the woman spoke it was like ocean waves. Hypnotic and soothing. For the first time in her life Amara was taken aback and suddenly unsure of herself. She was used to being so cocky and self-assured. Now she seemed to not have a clue what to do with someone who seemed to tug at her. There was something about this woman, something that called to her in a way that no one else ever had. It was scary but it had her more excited for a date then she had been in ages. "That's fine," she said her own voice huskier then the other girls. "Was it a dance rehearsal?" What this girl could probably do with those legs that she had been walking over here with. It was probably best not to think about. As she waited for the other girl to answer she watched as the waiter came over and asked if they'd like anything to drink. She glanced at Michelle. "Do you prefer red or white wine?" Amara could handle either but she wanted to go out of her way to please this girl.

YOUR Michelle had been looking forward to tonight actually; she hadn’t been out in months. The last lady she had been with was terribly manipulative and Michelle could not stand it. It was a broken relationship. She had escaped with her respect and her dignity without being put down too much. The nastiest things could be said but Michelle would keep her mouth shut. Her long legs were shaped up in her high heels and her dress was definitely cut a bit short but that was certainly fine. She wore things in style and class. She was always at the height of fashion and never took her sloppy time. Those marine eyes searched around the small restaurant as if looking for a quick glimpse but she couldn’t see anyone alone. She was aware of the awed looks she was getting but her eyes never wavered. However, she felt a sense of self endearment and somewhat good about herself. She smiled softly at some young men that were probably flattering themselves and she just followed her guide to the lady she was seeing tonight. She stepped around the corner, dodging ever so slightly the long leaves of plants. She saw the woman at the table, she smile. The woman was beautiful, with her blond hair, the coolness of her outfit. She seemed simple and less complex than anyone here. She was admirable. They were alone back here, private catering, she felt content with that. The hazel eyes reminded her of a forest and her face was beautifully sculpted. Michelle was enthralled with this girl, but her lips were pursed softly and her head was held high.

It seemed her date was in a daydream before she arrived and as she was settling herself down she could only feel her gaze upon her skin. The top of her dress was elegant and she brought her hand gliding gently over the rim to brush her skin gently, relieving herself of an itch. The moment she heard the voice of the other woman she was almost delighted by the coarse undertone of it all. She was absolutely charming besides her lack of words at first. She had probably kept her waiting far too long. She smiled back at her, the gentle curves of her face made for a kind look. For the moment she took in the rest of her surroundings. ” It’s a pleasure to meet you Miss Kennedy. I had been looking forward to tonight since Darien and Serena set us up.” Her French accent was a touch to the class that she had been upholding. She figured it may have been just too much. However, the lady did not seem to mind and she was happy to have caught her in a good mood. ” I’m terribly sorry for my overdressing, I did not want to keep you waiting any longer.”

Michelle listened to a nearby fountain, her eyes rested closed for a moment, the lullaby of water rushing over her. Calming breath entered but she didn’t want to ignore her date. She looked at her, she seemed nothing like Darien had described; cocky, proud, and confident. Perhaps she was taken aback by her dress, she could understand. It was a bit much; she didn’t want to stand out too much. She listened to the voice of her companion and she smiled amusingly,” Dance rehearsal, heavens no. I can’t say I know many dances without a partner. It was for the orchestra.” As her words escaped she went for the complimentary water on the table and pressed it to her lips when she uttered her last words. She noticed the waiter only seconds after Amara and she said,” Red wine will do perfectly fine, unless you prefer white, I do not mind.” Her eyes were a soft gaze to Amara and the man. She had no reason to be picky nor was she ever truly picky. After the order was set she said,” Have you been here before? I have not, please, what would you recommend here?”

Holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give.

This date hadn't been Amara's idea and she hadn't even really wanted to come. But as Michelle settled down across from her at the table she had to admit she was more than glad she had come. Her date was beautiful and she seemed very cultured. The light French accent was beautiful in her voice and she couldn't help but fall for it. She found herself listening harder almost wanting to lean over the table to hear it even louder. For a moment she couldn't help but almost shiver at the thought of hearing that voice pressed up against her ear in the middle of the night. What would it sound like if they were in bed and she was whispering her name? That was a thought she had to banish from her mind as soon as possible. That soft heat in her stomach had started and it was spreading at just the idea of it. She could not allow herself to seem too eager for anything more than just a nice little date between the two of them.

"The pleasures all mine Miss. Roux." Amara's own voice had almost a hint of a tease in it as she spoke. Calling the woman Miss Roux instead of just simply Michelle just as she'd done her. This time a little smile curled her lips upwards as she looked the other woman over once more. The dress just kept drawing her in with all of the straps and patterns. It was lovely and it hugged her entire frame. "You can call me Amara," she said, "and I think your dress is beautiful. It kind of makes me wish I'd dressed up more. Maybe next time." She almost wanted to hit herself for saying that. This did not seem like the kind of girl who took dating lightly and might not have even wanted to go out on a second date with her. At least not yet. At the mention of Serena and Darien though Amara couldn't help but roll her eyes for a brief moment. "Oh yes. Serena. Doesn't she always love getting involved in everything." A statement of fact more than a question. She loved Serena but the girl liked getting involved in everything. Even Amara's love life though if this date went well she was going to be sure to thank her for it.

The orchestra, eh? That just made her glanced no longer at the girls legs which were under the table but instead at her fingers the brief moment of what she could do with them fluttered through her mind before she got rid of it. She was having way too many sexual thoughts about this girl she had just met. This wasn't something she wanted to have her date thinking about. With one decision done she gave Michelle another little smile before she turned to the waitress. "A bottle of red Sangiovese wine from California, please." She knew her wines and she liked indulging in them and she hoped Michelle would enjoy the wine that was going to go well with her Italian. As she turned back to her menu she seemed to think about it for a few moments. What would she recommend? This was a good time to figure out what the other girl seemed to like. "Do you like more red meat? Chicken? Or seafood?" She had a favorite in each category and she was eager to recommend some of her favorite dishes to her. Reaching up to pushed a piece of her blonde hair back behind her ear. "Do you have another recital any time soon," she asked in a curious tone. Maybe she could catch the next one.

YOUR The voice that carried over to her ears wasn’t completely serious; it was almost a teasing poke at her. She should not have been so formal with her date. She was just thinking of her father and how she had always been around parliament and the cameras. She gave a polite smile, almost wanting to take back her respectable performance tonight. She looked around and admired the spectators around them. Calling her Amara, she smiled, cute name. She had known the name but she chose to be a bit more like her father in the politician world. ” I love your name. You should call me Michelle or Elle, either is fine with me.” She smiled at the woman and then gave herself a glance over the body. She chuckled softly,” Oh this thing? Thank you, I haven’t worn it in a while. I think I should tone it down next time, I like your attire. It’s very appropriate.” The way that Amara looked and sounded was even a push toward another date, but even so her language and the way she spoke was wonderful. She caught the eye rolling and she stifled a laugh with another drink of her water. She nodded curtly,” Yes, I think it’s cute. She’s very active with things. However, I think you’re forgetting Darien. He pushed you toward this date didn’t he? I know he pushed me.” She smiled, a small blush spreading across her cheeks.

Michelle took part in various performing activities. She kept her legs fit and slender with the ballet she took part in. She was a good dancer, never second guessing herself. She was pretty confident of herself, but maybe the French were always like that. She took in Amara’s face and the sight of her hands. They looked soft but something about them was hinting at grease and motor oil; she looked like she could work on cars or do something with them. She was taken by surprise at the formality of the wine choosing and very much impressed with the selection. Most men and women she had been on a date with ordered by color. It wasn’t very impressing but it got her by. She was a lover of fine drinks when it came down to her French base and the way they went to vineyards, even her own. She caught herself before saying her last name and looked at the menu. The selections were many and she was almost sick of looking at it. She’d never find anything to eat looking at it. She looked over at Amara and said,” I’m in the mood for chicken, however sea food is my favorite.” Perhaps a hint, a little shine in her eyes was hoping Amara kept that information close. She nodded, very sure of her next recital. ” Next Saturday, nine o’clock at the theater is the final one for this month. Next month will hopefully be more.” She was sure she knew where to go, there weren’t very many theaters in Venice. ” I would be delighted if you would come out and see it. That is if your appreciate the musical arts.” She beamed at her.

I don't think you know her. She sings a simple song. It sounds a lot like his. I've got this friend holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give. Oh if the right one came, if the right one came along?

Now it seemed like the date was well underway. They were on first name basis and she'd even gotten a little chuckle out of the other woman. That made Amara feel a little better about how the date was going. Maybe she wasn't maki9ng a complete fool out of herself just yet. At the mention of toning it down next time she shook her head almost fiercely. Honestly Amara would have loved to see her in outfits like this all the time. She seemed much too classy for anything less than elegant form hugging dresses. Not that the idea of staring at those curves all day on another date was the pushing factor to get the girl to stay in that outfit. No never. "I think you look beautiful in your dress. Why not keep wearing them? Next time I'll just have to put on a tux to match." There was another one of those playful smiles on her lips as she spoke. Would she really wear a tux just to match the other girl if she wore another elegant dress? If that was what got her the date with the other woman she sure as hell would.

Raising an eyebrow as Michelle confessed that Darien was the main one who pushed her into this date Amara couldn't help but grin back shaking her head. "It's true. He did. I haven't gone on a real date with anyone in ages and apparently this had to be changed." She wondered if revealing a fact like that would ruin their date. After all if she wasn't going on a lot of dates there had to be a reason and maybe it wasn't a very good one. She hoped it didn't matter how often she dated and how often she didn’t'. Who knows maybe she made up on her date statement by ordering that luscious bottle of red. She'd done a few wine tastings around Venice with her free time and she still remembered some of the things from her classes. Settling a little more comfortably in her chair and looking back at Michelle again she thought for a few moments. A mood for chicken but her favorite was seafood. She wrote that information down on her mental chalk board.

"Well if you want to mix the two you can get something like the Linguine con gamberi e pollo which has chicken and shrimp or if you just want chicken the pollo alla toscana is good with just chicken wrapped in spinach and cheese." Both were pretty good options in her mind and she just hoped the other woman enjoyed them. As Michelle seemed to smile so brightly at her telling her about her concert Amara couldn't help but feel her heart make that little thud in her chest again. her smile was gorgeous and she got lost in it, in her. She caught herself staring and she started sitting up a little straighter and looking back down at her menu trying to control the small flush that wanted to spread across her cheeks. Why was she acting like such an idiot? This was the first time she'd had a date that was actually going well. The girl was everything she could imagine. She was beautiful, talented and intelligent. So why couldn't she just keep it together? "I'd love to go," she said when she looked up from the menu after managing to beat back the deep blush on her cheeks. "If it gets over late I would love to take you out for a drink afterwards. To celebrate." There that was more like it.

YOUR Naturally Michelle was a reserved woman, she never laughed too loudly, and she never spoke too loudly. She wasn’t going to yell at you, she wasn’t in everyone’s business, and she just didn’t really take an interest in the follies and vices of others. She had her mother to blame for the styles she wore and that of the inhabitants of France for having such astounding clothing lines. She had never really worn anything less than this, but even when she wore shorts it was a bit more on the high end of life. She was ravishing and she always sported sundresses. She may have been strange but she wore dresses all the time. She just had to think of the situation and the events at hand. Michelle was notorious for her planning of outfits and her organization. She just didn’t like being too rushed and she liked having a smooth time. The suggestion to keep wearing her dresses was nice and she took it as a compliment. She smiled at her date, the all teeth smile she rarely gave to most of her dates. ” You’re really flattering, you know? We’ll certainly be quite the pair if you do wear one. But you must promise that you will wear one if I continue to wear these dresses.” Her lips turned up into a delicate smile.

The curiosity of her date was intriguing for her as she mentioned her friend Darien. She had been a friend of Darien’s since she arrived. He was actually the man who picked her up at the airport when she moved here. Something about his father knowing hers, after all, he was quite the gentleman. She reflected the grin and replied,” I’ll have to thank him for pushing you. I am having a splendid time and I’m sure the night has only just begun.” The fact that Michelle was Amara’s first date in a long time she was honored. She found this girl to be interesting and not at all what she had been expecting. Then again she couldn’t expect much anymore after the past girlfriends and past dates. Michelle was impressed, not even afraid to admit it. She could imagine the little cogs in Amara’s head as she mentioned her tastes for the night. She was curious to see what her date knew about food and what was the better dishes here.

A mix of the two sounded fabulous but she didn’t want to overload on anything tonight. She thought about the other option, folding her menu back into place. She liked spinach and the cheese would complement that well. She let her index finger tap against her lip once and then twice before she said,” The Polla Alla Toscana sounds fabulous. Thank you for your input.” She was passionate about her music. The concerts were just glorious, making Michelle feel right at home. The stage was hers to own when she had her solos. One day she hoped to share that with someone who understood. Michelle had to practice and of course at home was the perfect place. Most people could not stand it. Her last girlfriend had down right told her to never play in the house for it had annoyed her. Michelle just couldn’t take that, her music was her life, and telling her to stop was almost like telling her that she was horrible. She watched her date scan her menu as she listened. She wanted to know what Amara was thinking. A grin developed on her lips as she said she’d love to go. However, to top coming to her show she would take her out to celebrate. ” Darien certainly did not lie about you, you’re very charming. I would love a drink with you.” She had never had anyone take her out to celebrate after a concert. ” So do tell me, what do you do Amara?”

She wasn’t even sure if she had a tux but she might have a nice suit somewhere at home. She'd just have to find it. Putting her hands up in surrender she nodded her head giving the other girl a little grin. "Fine. Fine. I'll wear some kind of suit or something for next week when we go out for drinks. Since I'm picking you up from your recital and everything." She'd have to wear something nice any way just to get in right? She didn't want the other woman's friends, cause she was sure Michelle had lots of friends, that she was going on a date with a slob. She’d dress up just for the occasion and maybe have a few other tricks up her sleeve. Since she'd gotten the other girl to agree to a date with her she might as well keep surprising her with little things just to keep her interested right? Again Amara wanted to smack herself. Here she was planning out all these things for a girl she'd just met. This was crazy but she couldn't resist. Michelle grabbed her attention and when something grabbed her attention she went full steam ahead.

I am having a splendid time and I’m sure the night has only just begun...

Oh if Amara didn't just beam at that another smile sliding up and over her lips. She loved compliments, especially one from such a nice looking woman as Michelle. Who didn't like to be complimented by a pretty looking woman? "I'm glad I could help," she said shrugging her shoulders a little before she glanced over the menu herself. What did she want? She was thinking seafood risotto. Who knew maybe she could get the other girl to try about of her dish. Of course she'd have to hold the spoon for her. Letting out a little chuckle she glanced up from her menu at the mention of Darien calling her charming. "I see he's been gossiping about me. I'll have to talk to him about that." If anything she'd be going over there to thank him for everything.

Before she could answer her about what she did the menu came with two glasses. Of course the waiter asked her if she wanted to taste it and she agreed taking a small sip, swirling it around for a few moments before taking a sip. Nodding her head the waiter filled their two glasses and then asked for what they'd like. Amara ordered her seafood risotto and waited for Michelle to order. When that was all over she sat back another little smile on her lips. "Well to get back to your question I'm a race car driver. Though I also race bikes sometimes." She watched the other girl for her reaction wanting to see what she thought of that. Some girls thought it was hot that she raced cars and how sexy it was. But others, usually the betters ones, showed concern. Was it safe? Did she ever hurt herself? Things like that. She hoped someone as classy as Michelle wouldn't mind her kind of rougher life style. "And I also play a little piano. Though not very well and certainly not professionally." That couldn't hurt could it?

wake me up
I know I've always been shit at computer games Because your brother always beats me And if I lost I go across and chuck all the controllers at the TV And then you laugh at me And be asking me If I'm gonna be home next week And then you lie with me till I fall asleep And flutter eye lash on my cheek between the sheets And you will never know Just how beautiful you are to me But maybe I'm just in love When you wake me up Cause maybe you're lovable Maybe you're my snowflake And your eyes turn from green to grey And in the winter I'll hold you in a cold place And you should never cut your hair Cause I love the way you flick it off your shoulder
YOUR She watched her give surrender and smiled. Her date was full of animation and enthusiasm. What was more perfect than someone who would play with her? She nodded, taking a sip of her waning water. The waiters seemed to be so attentive here because with just a glance toward one he brought the pitcher of water. She smiled with rosy red lips. Her big marine eyes sparkled at him,” Thank you.” She looked back toward Amara just then letting the boy babble and walk away. She said,” After all, you’ll be attending my recital. They get pretty formal in those.” She took that into consideration. Most of her acquaintances and friends that attended always looked splendid and rather formal. Sometimes Michelle didn’t even look at pompous as all of them. Perhaps after this they would go their separate ways but Michelle would be more attentive to her texts and she would definitely love to talk to her more. She enjoyed the fact that her date was so willing to come to her recital. She must really appreciate music or maybe there was an alternative motive.

Michelle wondered what those lips tasted like. They were so soft looking and every smile on her lips was inviting and heartwarming. She wouldn’t admit that though. She wasn’t the type to blabber on about internal desires. She nodded and let her date read over her own menu. Michelle stroked her brunette hair before she looked down at the silverware and continued to fix everything. Seeing as she was about to eat some lovely chicken dinner she was going to get herself ready for it. She wondered what the seafood tasted like here. Surely Amara would not bring her here again right away; she’d mix it up and lead Michelle on a wonderful culinary adventure. Michelle could be won by food, she loved to taste test and find new things that she liked. Even more so she could be won by genuine kindness and a bit of mystery. Her attention was back on Amara when she was talking about Darien. What seemed like a giggle sounded from her lips,” Oh my, I do think I’ve gotten him in trouble. I do hope you won’t be too harsh on him. He certainly won me over on my debate to come.” A mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

Amara was about to be the official wine tester for the night. The actions were swift and fluid by Amara’s hands and she was delighted to know it was good. She smiled as her glass was handed to her. She was perfectly inclined to set it on the table but as her date ordered her meal she took a sip. Until the man asked Michelle and she placed her order with a small salad on the side before her dinner. After her descended to the kitchen to place the order in with the cook they were back to conversations. For some reason she wasn’t surprised that Amara was a racer. She sort of set her wine down gently and leaned in a little closer. Hearing she played a little piano was fabulous. She said,” Somehow this does not surprise. However, I am most pleased to know my date is here in one piece.” She chuckled before looking Amara over once more. ” I do hope you are a safe driver. In any case I would love to come see you race as long as I don’t have to clean any blood up after the race.” She smiled at her. She thought it was quite interesting that Amara raced, she was just concerned that she would get seriously injured. She didn’t want to have a fatality and she wasn’t sure she condoned it. She knew how dangerous racing could get, with vicious competitors. She said,” You seem to live a much more eventful life than I do.” She let her lips brush her wine glass until she tipped it upward to take another drink.

→ I've got this friend
I don't think you know her. She sings a simple song. It sounds a lot like his. I've got this friend holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give. Oh if the right one came, if the right one came along?

If dressing as well as Michelle looked right now wasn’t even good enough and if there were going to be people even more dressed up, well Amara wasn’t going to fit in very well at all. That was okay though she’d endure it and the looks that she would get for not being as good as she should have been just to get to pick this girl up from her recital and take her on another date. “Well I’ll try and find something to wear,” she said with almost a little huff in her voice though of course the smile in her lips betrayed that she thought it was only a fully little joke. It wasn’t anything too important. Especially if she had known exactly what Michelle was thinking about her. Thinking about her lips and what it would be like to kiss them. Of course Amara would have been more than happy to show her exactly what her lips were like but she didn’t know and so she wasn’t able to just lean in and kiss her.

Darien was going to be getting a call from Amara, probably tonight, to yell at him as to why he had never told her about this girl before. How had he kept her hidden for so long? She was wonderful and funny and elegant and it seemed Amara’s dream girl. She was something that just couldn’t be grasped Giving her another smile, Amara shook her head. “No he’s not in trouble. Well only a little but that’s because he never gave me your number sooner.” Maybe she was being a little forward but she didn’t think Michelle would mind her forwardness. She seemed to really like her as much as Amara liked her. Or maybe that was just her wishful thinking. But she wasn’t going to look into it that hard. She was just going to assume that they both liked each other. As the wine was poured and the orders put in Amara reached out for her glass of wine again and sat back once more in her chair. She watched Michelle with a little smile on her lips taking a sip from her glass.

”I promise to never get blood on any of your outfits because of racing.” She paused for a moment tapping her finger on the wine glass. “Or any other reason. I don’t think there’s any reason for a lady to get blood on her clothes.” She gave a little smile and took another small sip of wine before setting it down. “I am always safe of course. I have my cars checked every day before I race to make sure there’s nothing wrong and of course I’m always careful.” That was pretty much always true. Shaking her head Amara wrinkled her nose for a moment. “No. It’s not that eventful. Sometimes I think it’s rather boring. I race on the weekends but during the week it always seems like there’s nothing to do.” She shrugged her shoulders a little. “Maybe I’ll just have to come and listen to your practice instead. What do you do when you’re not at your recitals?”

YOUR She was sure Amara had clothes to wear. She was fashionable and she liked that. If there was anything she liked more it was the fact that her date could actually find nice clothes to wear. Her style was very intriguing and something she’d like to see more often. She shook her head with a small chuckle,” I’m sure you have something to wear that’s even better looking than what I’m wearing.” She looked down at the tablecloth once more and then to the hem of her dress. It was quite short from what she could tell and the nights in Venice weren’t too terribly cold. She could make it home in one piece and with more than enough body heat. Her heels on the other hand were coming off as soon as they were out of the restaurant. She smiled toward Amara,” You know you don’t even have to wear something formal if you don’t want to. It’s not mandatory it’s just most people do.” She blinked a couple of times, taking in the features of Amara’s face. Perhaps a kiss on the first date would not be too bold for Michelle to make.

Michelle had known Darien for quite some time now. He was always a sweet man to her. He was rather positive and always engaging in conversation with her at his estate. He even let her use his pool while her landowners was under reconstruction. She’d even gone out with Darien a couple of times, but they were just friends. She would really have to thank Darien for introducing her to Amara. She listened to her and she laughed. Her voice was soft and her cheeks were a shade of pink,” I’m flattered. I guess he was just keeping me for himself.” She definitely didn’t mind Amara’s forwardness. She liked the bold and the spontaneous. She always liked those would were dominate. She wasn’t the one for making the moves first since she was reserved but if someone wanted to take the lead she was more than happy to follow. She looked at her date and the way she leaned back so sure of herself. Something reminded her of Darien except much more attractive to her.

She was sitting there promising to never get any blood on Michelle’s clothes or anything like that and here she was not even thinking of her own life or her own blood. Michelle shook her head. She said,” Forget about my clothes, if you were bleeding I would get soaked before I let you get hurt or I let you get hurt. So I’m saying don’t make me have to clean up any of your blood.” She smiled softly before taking a sip of her wine. Before she knew it her dish was placed I front of her and her wine was being refilled. She gave a small thanks to the waiter before listening to Amara. She was glad that Amara was safe about her racing and always checking her cars. She’d seen some racing back in France that ended in fractures and death. She just couldn’t imagine seeing Amara like that. She was delighted that Amara wanted to come visit her during the weekdays and listening to her practices. ”Well I go to practices most of the week, but Monday through Wednesday I actually work for my father’s friend. Not very hard work, I’m a secretary. Other than that I like to take walks and do anything to escape my creepy landowner. That also means I look for other places to live.”

→ I've got this friend
I don't think you know her. She sings a simple song. It sounds a lot like his. I've got this friend holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give. Oh if the right one came, if the right one came along?

Amara couldn't help but chuckle a little as Michelle said that she could dress better than her. She didn't believe that for a moment. The girl was gorgeous from head to toe and though Amara had a sense of fashion she had a feeling Michelle would always be the better looking one in the relationships. "I highly doubt I'll ever look better then you. But I'd settle for just being about the same," she said. Now if only she knew the girl was thinking about getting her shoes off she would offer to walk her home on her back. That way the girl would be able to get home without wearing her shoes and Amara could show off how brave and strong she is. "Oh I'll wear something nice enough. I don't want to stand out. if you're going to be going off on the back of my motorcycle then I have to at least make sure that I look good when I do it."

Maybe talking about blood at the dinner table wasn't exactly proper manners. Okay Amara knew it wasn't but it couldn't help but make her smile a little bit as Michelle just kept going with it. The girl seemed to be able to get along with any topic of conversation and just seemed to be pretty awesome. Unable to help herself Amara smiled a little bit. "Okay. Since you’re such a lady I promise not to bleed all over you. I promise." She let out a little chuckle and couldn't resist reaching out to take the other girl's hand from across the table. For a moment it was just nice to hold her hand and run her thumb across her knuckles before pulling her hand back. With her own dish placed in front of her she picked up her fork and let out a happy little noise. Everything just looked so delicious after all.

"Well that sounds like a busy day. And a secretary, eh? I shouldn't imagine you in your little pencil skirt at your desk taking my message," she said giving the girl a little wink. "But the idea of you living with a creepy landlord doesn't make me feel very happy. I feel I'm going to have to come over and let him know you're not to be messed with." She grinned again before taking another bite of her risotto. "This is delicious. How's yours," she asked as she took a sip of her wine.

YOUR ” Quit being modest, I’m sure you’ve seen prettier women than me. Not to mention I bet you’ve seen yourself in the mirror.” She shyly took a look away from Amara. Strange enough she actually felt like blushing and she felt a bit shy. Normally Michelle could be taken as shy but when presented in front of people she was rather nice and reserved. She was usually the strongest speaker and the one who could address almost anyone. She was known for taming beasts if that made sense. She thought about riding a motorcycle. She always felt safer with doors and seatbelts. A helmet just felt like a small party hat. However, the thrill of being behind Amara and holding her around the waist was surely a nice thought. She smiled at her and said,” I’m sure whatever you wear will have you looking absolutely entrancing as we both ride away on the back of your motorcycle. My friends will surely be jealous.” Her guys friends and surely even her straight or lesbian, it didn’t matter, friends. Surely enough Michelle was interested in Amara and her attention would be on her special guest.

Michelle wasn’t really afraid of bodily fluids. She had an older brother who was a great surgeon. She watched his sew up one of her mother’s employees and dearest friends at the house. It was quite the wonder and such a terrific amount of blood. While it did not faze her there it would if it was coming out of her girlfriend’s body and if such a thing happened Michelle would put a stop to it immediately. Of course, she didn’t have that power but she might plea or persuade her in other ways. Wait girlfriend? Heaven’s they weren’t even dating. Yet. Amara’s smile brought her from one memory to reality and she smiled,” I would appreciate that, but I’d also appreciate no blood on you, if that’s possible?” She bit her lower lip with an exquisite smile breaking through. Amara reached out to her and grasped her hand, her thumb running across her knuckles. She looked at their hands before smiling at Amara. Now confidence and physical contact was something she didn’t mind.

Busy was an understatement but as Amara continued she really felt like this woman had listened to her. Most dates if they even bothered to ask her about one of her regular days or weeks just dismissed it and talked about themselves. She listened to her as she played into a seductive phase and then gave her a wink. The idea of her creep landlord getting threatened by Amara was something that she may just in fact enjoy made her chuckle a little. ” Busy but normal day in the life of me, you get used to it. Maybe you should imagine it, since I wear a pencil skirt and should you have a message I would surely take it.” She bit her lower lip before looking down and thinking about her landlord. She said,” Thank you but it’s not necessary I’ll be out soon enough. It’s just taking longer than usual to find a place to live. I’m sure it’ll be soon though.” She smiled as her date gave a satisfied comment about her food and asked about her Polla Alla Toscana. She nodded and gave a satisfied smile,” I dare say, it’s wonderful. It’s fabulous, thank you for recommending it to me. Yours does look pleasant though, I do say.” She looked over at her date’s plate before taking a bite of her meal. She said,” How about you though, what do you do when you’re not dealing with your racecars and racing? What is a typical day for you?”

→ I've got this friend
I don't think you know her. She sings a simple song. It sounds a lot like his. I've got this friend holding onto her heart like it's a little secret. Like it's all she has to give. Oh if the right one came, if the right one came along?

Now Amara really couldn't help but laugh. She hoped Michelle didn't think she was laughing at her but she was laying at the idea of seeing a woman more beautiful than her or even the idea that Amara herself was more beautiful than Michelle. It was just mind blowing to her. This girl must not have looked in the mirror lately. She put every other woman to shame. If Megan fox were to walk in right now Amara wouldn't even notice the girl. She was all eyes on Michelle and her smile, the short hemline of her dress, the way her hands moved. Every inch of her seemed to enthral her and she couldn't help but keep watching her. "My darling I don't think you've looked at yourself in the mirror lately. If you did you wouldn't be saying such silly things about that." Shaking her head a little more she still had that smile on her lips. But it was nice to think about the two of them riding off into the distance on her motorcycle. Or how it would feel with those arms wrapped around her waist and those luscious breasts pressed against her back. That was something she was really looking forward too.

"No blood anywhere," she promised. The sound of Michelle’s chuckle laughter was a sound she wanted to hear again as soon as she could. She would also enjoy hearing that girl laugh and seeing her smile. Now Amara was raising her eyebrow feeling suddenly speechless. The idea of seeing Michelle like that had made her a little hot under the collar but now with Michelle actually telling her to do it she wanted to just roll around on the floor and tell her that yes she would be doing that. She cleared her throat a little and sat up a little more. "Well it seems I'll just have to stop by the office then. That'll be the only way to see you in the skirt after all." See! She'd said in! Hadn't she? Yes she had. There at least she'd be moving out from her landlord sooner rather than later so all was okay in the world. There was nothing too bad going on.

"I'm glad you like it. I'd be terrible if you hadn't," Amara said between bites of her own food. Setting down her spoon she reached out to take her glass of wine and took a sip of it. When she was asked what she did during the day she honestly had nothing to really respond with it. What did she do all day? "Hmm... I never really thought about that. I honestly don't do much to be honest. Like I hang out at home and with friends a lot. I practice racing but I don't have a day to day job. I've been thinking I need to get a pet or something to take up part of my day." She took another sip of her wine and began to eat her meal again. "Now that I've met you I guess I'll be going to your rehearsals during the day too," she said in a teasey voice.
