Thanks, Valerian goslings.gif (Have some ... goslings ... ? I don't know, random emoticon)

Those books look pretty good, I may go scrounge at some used book stores, see if I can find them there. I have an almost-free week coming up, and that looks like it could occupy some time!

Also, because I'm a glutton for punishment, I've started reading the Exiles quasi-trilogy again. Why do I do this to myself ... ?

N is the best form of revenge.

"Father, forgive me, for I have sinned. I did an original sin...I poked a badger with a spoon."

Don't mess with me. I once banned all of Russia.

For the same reason I'm doing it again myself?

Seriously, I picked up Exiles last week. She'll write the third book eventually.

Tad Williams - He is simply my favorite author of all times. Now if you don't like the big, long, thick, intricate, detailed stories... then he may not be the author for you. I find that I space off a little in the first 100-150 pages... but once I reach the end of the first book (most of his books are series), I'm hooked and it is my favorite book until I read the next one. His books are very, very detailed... but that's part of what draws me in. He describes everything so thouroughly that I actually feel like I am there. Like I know the characters true heart. I miss them when I finish the books, almost feel like I lost a friend because he does such an amazing job of connecting the reader with the story and surroundings. Basically... I F-ing LOVE his books. biggrin.gif

Jacqueline Carey - She is another one of my favorite authors because she develops her characters so well. She comes up with very intriguing story lines and follows through with them very thouroughly giving them a good ending. Personally I hate being left to hang at the end of a series. It just doesnt sit right with me because it feels incomplete... But she does a great job of wrapping things up when the time is right, not too soon, but she doesnt drag it on too long either. Absolutely love her books!
