Elephant Haven Blog:
Sofie and I had the privilege of taking care of the African elephants at the Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen for about three days. Our good friend and main keeper Con Mul and his team consisting of Jord, Olaf and Myrthe welcomed us with open arms. What struck us immediately is that everything happens in a very relaxed atmosphere, which is undoubtedly very important to the animals as well as to the people who work there. Even "Fanta" the cat is being very well looked after and has worlds of fun in the stables with the elephants. http://www.elephanthaven.com/en/news/read-...rican-elephants -------------------- “We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace.”
