If I had to say anything, I'd suggest using thicker, darker lines for the foreground. It'd help out with the 3d look much more. Especially when you're using cityscapes as a backdrop. Dig the watercolors, though.

You happen to have Photoshop ? Because I could note you on dA with a link to Randy Green's journal. One specifically gave me a lot of help with darkening pencil lines without having to ink.

I'd kill for photoshop, and I've been hearing the darker pencil lines thing a lot. The result of no one ever having given me real feeback on this stuff other than "That's nice" I guess.

Hit me Q.

A Darren...I kinda ripped that city scape from Eastman and Laird. You ever buy Eastman's Artobiography?

Yeah... pretty much why I go out of my way for critiques now. You'll get a million half-hearted "good job"s for every one well-intentioned "you could've done this better."

If you can actually catch me on aim, at home, and awake, i.m me about photoshop.

And I seriously hope you're not on dial-up.

I thought I recognized it. Nothing wrong with learning by copying, though. Despite what anyone says to you, all art is forgery.
