The following rules apply to those participating in Edges of Eternity.

1. Character profiles must adhere to the spirit of the Chapter for which they are created. A general overview of the chapter can be found on the Characters board. Characters need not be "approved" to participate, though an administrator or moderator may edit profiles if characters start to turn into gods. In addition, all guidelines for characters, as outlined in the Characters forum, should be followed.

2. Character profiles are not "mandatory" in the sense that they must be posted in order to roleplay. It is helpful when you post your profiles, but not required.

3. Nothing can happen to your character you do not want to happen. Similarly, you cannot do anything to another character without permission from their player.

4. Characters in Edge of Eternity are bound by realistic constraints. There may be very powerful characters, true, or characters with extensive training, but we seek realism, not epic power. Actions which are deemed "superhuman" are not permitted. Exceptions to this rule may be included in various books.

5. Edges of Eternity seeks mature roleplayers who know the boundaries of the form and are at least proficient in writing skills. If this is not you, we will still welcome you. However, while we are willing to help teach new members, we are not prepared to accept spamming, persistent rule-breaking, or actions which otherwise waste our time. Those who violate this contract will be ordinarily banned.

6. Be respectful and courteous to other members. If you have a problem with another member -- say, if godmoding is occurring -- please contact the offending party in private to rectify the situation. If that fails, please contact an administrator to handle the situation. Flaming and shouting matches on the board are not tolerated.

7. No smoking except in designated areas.
