Valefirth, a fairly tranquil, undisturbed, and lusciously green city, was among the only to spawn from the ashes of war and destruction. During the Era of Warlord, havoc and pandemonium drove people from their homes and in search of a safe haven in which they may live. For many that dream was unfulfilled and were killed in the attempt. Yet for some refugees, a large uncharted forest north of the Räe-Thôn Mountains, proved to be the ideal escape.

It is said that a group of wanderers led by one mage named Aathone wandered into this forest. After walking for weeks, and on the brink of death, there were rescued by a small civilization of druids. They named their new home Valefirth, which translates roughly into 'Paradise'.

After several years, the city flourished and once the Era of Warlord was brought to an end, Valefirth established trade and communication with other cities. Valefirth was named one of the most beautiful as well as mysterious, due to its surrounding tropical forests and variety of extraordinary flowers. Druids from all reaches of Avalor gathered in Valefirth to study and live, expanding the once secluded civilization into one of the largest cities of Northern Avalor.

Steeped in magic and serenity, Valefirth has been evasive enough to avoid war thus far and instead invested its time into education, science, astronomy, arts, literature, philosophy, and music. Almost 9 decades later did the city finally stand up to its name, as it does to this day
