She stood in the cave mouth, looking over the lands, eyes scanning the fresh area for a sign of another one. She had encountered one earlier, but he had simply walked by, showing no respect at all. She knew he was nearby; he didn't think she was good enough to fight against Him. Well, I'll show 'im. She told herself strongly. I'll show 'im what I got. He'll wish 'e never turned up his scrawny nose at me. Alpha! Alpha my ass! She sniffed and looked high into the clear sky. The clouds were drifting silently. It soothed her and her anger was taken away like the ocean washing away a sandcastle on the beach. She smiled and nodded. Don't worry, Ella. You'll be alright. We'll look after yer. She turned her gaze from the whisps of white cloth and her large pupils travelled along the canopy below. She still couldn't see anything. Not even a small bird or doe. She sighed. When was anything gonna turn up? Ella had promised an army would form and protect Her and Her lands. But it had not happened yet. Though Ebony had just arrived here, and only seen one other wolf, maybe he was going through the same problem? She started to bite her lip. Still nothing.. She sat and looked behind her into the dark cave. She could almost hear the sounds of newly born pups, and chatting of members. She blinked and it grew quiet again. She yawned powerfully and squinted. When was the last time she'd got any sleep? She sniffed again and looked about her sleepily. I guess it couldn't hurt to just have a little rest. I'm sure Ella wunt mind, just for a few minutes. But what if a member came? What if another wolf came, or that male wolf wanting me? Or even some food leaping under the trees? I shud keep my eyes open, and keep searching. I know, I'll go for a walk and look on the ground, I might be able to see some more of this new territory I've claimed. So she sleepily, making it look like such an effort, raised herself from the dry cave floor and slowly padded down the mountainside, through the crunchy leaves of Autumn towards the woods overhead. --------------------  Ebony 1.5 yrs old Arctic Fae 0 mates Enam Alphess 0 offspring |
