THIRTY-THREE • ROGUE • FORGER

FIRST LAYER {background}
• Born and raised in Oxford, where his parents owned a small, local pub. His father (also Charles Eames) was an established forger at that point, and he inducted his son into the lifestyle.
• Didn't make it pass secondary school. Didn't have to.
• Rose quickly in the ranks of extraction teams instead. Since he'd been more or less practicing since a young age, it wasn't long before people pegged him for an expert forger.
• Met and fell for a cute little thing called Marissa. Taught her the ways of dream extraction.
• Joined up with Cobb's team, which then consisted of Cobb, Mal, Marissa, and Eames.
• Got caught in the thick of it during a mission and ended up jeopardizing the mission to "save" Marissa who had a gun to her head, even if they shot would just wake her up.
• Was given an ultimatum: leave the team or erase Marissa. He chose to wipe Marissa from his memory.
• Even after killing Marissa from his mind, he couldn't seem to lose her--there was a nagging in him. After re-meeting her, he was determined to find out who she was.
• Ended up piecing his history with Marissa back together. Decided she was more important that the team and left the team to be with her this time. The two of them went to Mombassa to start up their own team.
• Received word that his father dropped into limbo. Did his best not to think about it.
• Was approached by Cobb again, this time for an oh-so-enticing challenge--Inception. Eames took the job.
• Once the mission was completed, Eames returned back to Mombassa, back to his familiar team, and back to Marissa.
SECOND LAYER {talents}
• Forger. First and foremost, what he's best at. This applies both to the dream world and the real world.
• Creativity. Your plan feeling a little too stiff and detached? Eames will spice it up for you. He's all about imagination first, technicalities second.
• Self defense. No pointman by any means, but he's a good shot in a tight spot.
• Digging up personal information about the subject. He knows what buttons to push, and how to get into hard-to-access places.
• Overachiever. The more challenging the job, the more fun it is.
• Pranks. He's competitive and petty. Be forewarned, he's a bit of a prankster at heart.
THIRD LAYER {plots}
Needs...
• Friends. Or really anyone that can put up with him.
• Gambling buddies/drinking buddies.
• Partners in crime. Literally. Eames needs his Mombassa team.
• Employers.
• Victims. Er. Subjects.
• Enemies. Rival team? Police? Professionals? Just can't stand him? Bring it.
• Anything else? Have at it.

Doesn't need...
• Current lovers.
• Past lovers.
• Any lovers. Really. That's just off the table. Marissa's enough of a handful.
• Smalltalk buddies.
LIMBO {currently}

Eames&Sage

I'm thinking they're rivals. Sage was pretty bitter when she was passed over for the Fischer Job, so she naturally harbors bad feelings towards anyone who was part of that team. I can see them being pretty nasty to each other, but it wouldn't go any further than verbal jabs at the other's expense.

Don't tempt Eames. He would be all too delighted to have a rival in Sage, especially since they're...very similar in many ways. For one, they were both raised with a parent(s) who were engaged in dream sharing, so unlike most people, they have the advantage of being involved in this world from the start. Plus, they both seem like petty, stubborn people. Eames probably wouldn't be so "snappy" as he would get an immense amount of enjoyment from taunting her little-brother style as soon as she made it clear they weren't going to be friends. A good place to start might be if they're both applying for the same job or something? Though that might get a little complex. We can also just toss them into a pub or something and see what happens. What say you?

Sounds awesome to me! I'll try and come up with a thread!

well. where do i even begin?

haha, i'm up for writing any kind of relationship
between these two, though i'm figuring no matter
how long they don't see each other for that they
pretty much act the same as always. but yesss,
whether you want them in more regular contact or
if they'll have drifted, that's fine by me.

thoughts/ideas/etc? i think with him slowly kind of
usurping cobb's position, he'd probably make an
effort to keep in touch for professional purposes -
and because he kinda likes the guy (though not
that he'd ever willingly admit to that, and not like
that anymore, haha) - and would probably try
and get him involved in the more important, high-risk
jobs, because after the inception job, he'd definitely
trust him like whoah and that's crucial in arthur's
books. so.. hit me up! pretty much anything's
good by me.

[dohtml]

EAMES & ARTHUR

I definitely think we need to get some snide bickering up in here! Since that is really what Arthur and Eames do best. Although in movie-verse I'm positive they're gay for each other, I'd rather steer clear of that route just because I'm not crazy about sexual tension type stuff. Though I'm all for Arthur being like *conflicted* and Eames being like "who shoved a bug up your arse this morning?" On the flip side...I like the idea of Arthur trying to "recruit" Eames back, as it were. Or at least keep Eames in his back pocket, since he's more or less taking over Cobb's team. Eames, however, likes having his own team. He's happy where he is and he's not moving. He did his job with the inception, and that's that.

With that said...Arthur is a bit of a "get the job done" kind of man, so I don't imagine he'd take no for an answer. I noticed you responded in Sofia's plot page...maybe we can do something like that? Like...Arthur attempts to recruit Sofia ("aren't you tired of being an apprentice? Don't you want to be a forger on your own?") since he can't get Eames himself and Eames is like "Ha...wait. Mine. You can't play with my apprentice." That's a bunch of random, feel free to scrap it all, but it's potentially dramatastic. Let me know what you think!

arthur & eames

that all sounds pretty much fantastic, haha.
i'm definitely thinking bickering is like the
numero uno thing we can't do without here, hah,
that like, made the film for me. and no,
samesies, no worries there - that's what shaped
most of the app really, how stupidly shippable
they are movieverse, but then here how eames
is very clearly happy with marissa now. i think that'll
work just fine - arthur's got enough control
that should they ever work closely together
now, if eames' annoying charm worked on
him again, he'd be even less likely to want to
do anything about it because he knows eames is
all settled and whatnot. plus he's no doubt got
some hefty guilt about being involved in getting
rid of marissa from eames' memory and then
having fuzzy feelings for him, and then, y'know,
them reconnecting and all.

all of that does kind of mean that working with
eames would kind of get him extra-stressy,
but, yup, that just bodes well for them picking
at each other, really, haha.

and that sounds fab, provided sofia's player
(saylor, right..?) is up for it! arthur would
definitely want to keep eames kind of on hold
in hopes of getting him onboard when it's crucial,
but with them having their own unit and arthur
almost taking charge of another, it'd be unrealistic
for them to actually work together super often, i
figure. so he'd definitely be in the market for as
good as a forger as eames or the closest he can
get, and well - he's not beneath trying to recruit
someone from eames' team, almost. though he'd
like to pretend he'd never do such a thing, i reckon, hah.
them clashing over sofia could totally be interesting,
and i think the two of them would be potentially
hilarious in competition to win someone over. so we
could so try that, or something similar. sounds good
to me. anything else we oughta think about? (:

(& ps, i was totally worried i didn't get it over in the
app enough, but i promise you that whilst i am a bit of an
arthur/eames shipper, i'm not, like, crazed and intent
on breaking up the lovely marriage mr. & mrs eames
are having! including arthur's past feelings for eames
on here is legit just a way to cook up drama and act as
an explanation for the seriously flirty moments the two
had in the film, haha. i don't wanna get in the way of
anything! xo)

And don't worry about "getting in the way" of anything! I definitely love Arthur's inner conflict, I just wanted to be on the same page! But (providing Saylor's up for it!) I'm all for a little conflict over Eames' apprentice. After all, since she's technically only an apprentice, she isn't an "official" part of the team, so Arthur could definitely use that to ease his conscience. And I think these two in competition is just ridiculously FTW. I'll run it by Saylor and see what she thinks!

arthur & eames

oh for real, go crazy with the stressing him
out and pissing him off, that's literally how
i see them spending 90% of their time when
together, hah.

and that sounds good! i reckon we can get
a good few persistent threads out of arthur
trying to convince eames to rejoin cobb's/
his team, before finally figuring he's a loss,
casting the net a little wider and busting out
all the charm on sofia instead.

anything else we gotta think about? or should
we just dive in? d'you wanna start a thread?
should i start a thread, etc etc? x) i figure the
obvious place is mombasa, if arthur's tracked
eames down to try & convince him, but it's up
to you, really! (:

Multiple plot wars! I'm all for just starting it up. Mombassa sounds like a good place to find him! I don't mind starting, or you can go for it if you feel inspired, or we can play it by ear and just see who gets to it first!

arthur & eames

i'm good with assuming arthur got in touch
and arranged to meet somewhere and having
him there greeting eames and starting something
from there-ish, yess. usually i'm not so hot on
starting threads, but it's probably the best way
to do it for this - he's the one contacting eames,
after all, so i can specify all'a that in the post.

so, yesss, i'll start something up - one little
question for you in sofia's planner and then i
can probably cobble something together!
