point man - rogue - professional to a fault

(how long until we run out of dream-related lyrics, you reckon? haha, also i'll love y'forever if you do actually reach the bottom of this ridiculously wordy post & post an idea or two!)

    LOVE
Currently dating Ariadne, there's little room to really talk about a lovelife outside of her for this cutie pie, but he's a doting, charming boyfriend, heavily protective but not to too much of an extreme, though he does love a little bit of light bickering, just because it keeps him on his toes. He's a sucker for both the typical, complimentary, romantic-esque relationships as well as rather love-hate, less cutesy ones - he suits both and falls equally as easily for both nice girls, and the ones that get under his skin. Also, Eames, but he'd rather not talk about that. He doesn't really swing that way - Eames just pisses him off to the extent of having formed a mild crush on him in the past. Way to make it awkward, Arthur, tsk.

    ANTAGONISTS
Arthur specialises in being the guy who gets the details to ensure a job's success. He isn't one to take his work lightly, and is all too aware of the potential consequences of getting things wrong, or missing crucial details. It doesn't happen often, but, much as he tries not to act like it - he is human. He deals in logic and specificity and is a stickler for order and planning. Anyone who prefers a far looser, more playful, less serious (and frankly, somewhat dull & stuffy!) approach to dreamsharing would likely clash well with him and make for good chem in balancing out his general attitude in threads.

Having good - well, expensive - taste doesn't necessarily mean that he's a snooty little thing, but it often comes across somewhat like that, and whilst he probably doesn't mean to, he's abrupt and precise and has a low threshold for tolerating people who don't quite agree with him - unless, of course, it's with very good, we-justified reason. So anyone who hates the feeling of being looked down on could easily find cause to put him down in their bad books if they're looking for an enemy or something.

    FRIENDS/FRIENDLY ACQUAINTANCES
Seeing as Arthur's slowly, carefully well.. stealing Cobb's job, let's be honest, business contacts are a definite must for him. Whilst they may fall under the antagonist category too, he has to trust them to want to work with them, and they can expect the same kind of scrutiny he'd give a mark before agreeing to let a job involve them. He effectively works on freelancing, and then drawing a team together from that, so if any potential clients require some shady dream infiltrating and have the cash to spare - his work hardly comes cheap, after all - they may want to get in touch.

As for friends, the ones he'd willingly hang out with (although that sounds awfully casual for dear Arthur) would be very much of the same calibre as he is - professional, smart, and well - perhaps a tad boring. What I'd much prefer would be people who'll take joy in semi-competitive banter, with the two always wanting to best the other. Whilst he could definitely have friends more like himself, I'm just inclined to think that that'll make for one heck of a dull thread, haha.

    ANYTHING ELSE?
of course, maybe you have something more complicated in mind, and you should know that i'm super open to absolutely anything, and you can always pm me and whatnot and i don't bite, i swear! (:
