Corridors There are hundreds upon thousands of corridors, walkways, gantries, access tubes and ventilation shafts running throughout the ship. With the layout of all of these corridors so much like a maze it would be easy to get lost in here - or to hide.

Bridge The control room from which all of the ship's functions are operated. The bridge is currently locked down and sealed, with no apparent way in.
The central core of the ship's AI 'NOMAD' is located in a high security, low-temperature vault directly below the bridge. The only access to NOMAD is through here.

Observation deck At the fore of the vessel, the observation deck houses several lounges from which crew and passengers can look out over the vast expanse of space.
The numerous, reinforced observation windows provide a little over 180 degree external coverage towards the front of the ship.
Designed as an area for crew to sit back, relax, eat and drink one might find essentials here such as food and water - and perhaps a few little luxuries.

Crew quarters With an original compliment of 12,500 crew and personnel, much of the ships interior space is devoted to crew quarters, mess halls and recreation areas.
Many of those who survived found themselves waking up in their rooms, alone in the near-dark.
On these levels one might find useful items left behind by the seemingly vanished crew, food and drink in the mess halls. If anyone feels able to relax, there are a number of ways to take your mind off the situation in the rec-rooms.

Medical center The DsECV 'Nomad' is equipped with a state of the art medical center. Here survivors will find drugs, antibiotics and other medicines. A goodly number of large and imposing medical machines and computers lie dormant here, waiting for someone with the proper knowledge and clearance to activate them.

Research and development Many of the new discoveries and advances in technology are made by the dedicated and driven scientists that live on the DsECV's. New chemical compounds, computer architecture, minerals and ores - even new medical techniques are developed in the multi-level, dedicated laboratories here.
The number of experimental compounds, dangerous machinery and untested equipment can make this area dangerous for the inexperienced.

Life support Maintaining an environment suitable for human survival on a spacecraft is no small task.
The atmosphere must be recycled, filtered, re-oxygenated and pumped all around the ship. Temperature control prevents the interior of the vessel from falling to lethal exterior temperatures - zero degrees kelvin. Artificial gravity keeps us on our feet in a world where no direction is 'up'.
Were any of these systems to fail, the survivors would be in serious trouble.

Cargo hold The ships massive interior cargo space houses an innumerate and incalculable wealth of equipment, weapons and machinery - if you can find it amongst all of the clutter.
This area is currently locked down and inaccessible. Can you find another way in?

Engineering The massive engines housed at the rear of the ship provide propulsion for huge vessel DsECV 'Nomad'. The ship uses a combination of propulsion systems, but relies on cold fusion for its main thrust. A secondary redundant ion drive system provides a slower but more reliable and efficient back up system should the main engines fail.
This massive area of the ship is densely packed with machinery and components of all sizes and surrounds engines that are more than several decks tall.
The engineering section is currently sealed and locked. With such massive bulkheads and security doors - designed to withstand powerful explosions - it isn't going to be easy to get in.

Air locks and lifeboats Throughout the ship a number of external airlocks and lifeboats - or escape pods - are located. The external air locks provide access when the vessel is docked, but can also be used for space walks.
The lifeboats have space and supplies for up to twenty five personnel, but rely on miniature iron drives and gas attitude thrusters. Attempting to leave the ship would surely leave you stranded in the void for the rest of your life.
The external air locks and lifeboats are currently locked down and inaccessible.

Ship exterior Should you ever find yourself outside the DsECV 'Nomad', hope that you have proper protection from the harsh void of space and working mag-clamps and harnesses - you don't want to drift off into the black.
There are a number of external components and relays only accessible for maintenance externally

The past Any and all written roleplays or stories set before the catastrophe occurred on Deep Six - The DsECV 'Nomad'. These can be anywhere on the ship, on a colony or even in space - just be sure to state which in your opening post.

Just for fun These threads and character roleplays have no effect or bearing on the plot - as if they never happened at all, so have fun in your own little continuity bubble.
