If you have ever played Silent hunter 3 you will notice the career mode is all about going to a sector, and sinking any ships that enter that sector.
So here is the idea. You start off at the port, (maybe code/icon a dry dock?) and you have to load food supplies/torpedoes and anything else onto the sub, (providing the captain approves it being onboard etc) you then get your orders to goto or sink a ship/convoy (at a random time?) on the way you could run into other ships/subs you would either have to rig for silent running (turn off engines/reactor or even dont fire a weapon) or just sink them. I know this idea isnt very sound but it might help, just puttin my idea out there Another suggestion: (insted of doing 2 topics) I cant really remember if you can destroy any ship on DW with one shot of a torpedoe..but if it is like that then maybe add health to each target, would make more use of each torpedoe more valuble and get the engineer making more torpedoes making the normal gamemode alot harder and more enjoyable ofc. Unrelated. Anyways, this would be a fun new game mode, however it would be a pain to code. I think this should be considered if we get a port system going. |
